After some initial miscommunications about the job, things didn't quite turn out the way I hoped, but Luis, the company owner came out himself to make sure things were resolved. And even though the scope of the project increased, he insisted on completing the job at the original rate (although I'm not going to let him, because the scope had increased substantially, and that is clearly my own doing). When working with someone new, it's always a toss up on how things will go when unexpected difficulties arise, and I'm very pleased in how Luis does business. Six-stars! UPDATE: the job is done and we are awaiting inspection this week. The pictures speak for themselves. We are extremely satisfied with our Tesla Wall connector Gen 3 installation. Luis went up and over our garage with EMT to get to the nearby panel. He had to upgrade a breaker to a double pole 60A breaker and also had to update the breaker that goes to the subpanel in the main panel to 100A. Tesla had sent us a bad wall connector the first time around and advised us remotely that the electrical work done was perfect and that all power levels were as expected. Luis insisted on coming out himself anyhow to double check everything even though I assured him it was Teslas wall connector. Sure enough the wiring was perfect and when the new wall connector arrived I popped it on and everything worked like magic.

Alfa power and has team of workers. Awesome my job was a very large job and you need a team of people. Never hire an electrician who does not have a team of people who can come in and get the job done within a reasonable time frame. Alpha power electric came in and did an amazing job. They passed the DC inspection and they did the work on schedule. They also corrected some issues that I had from my prior electrician. Some of my circuit breaker amperages did not equal the amperage on the electrical outlet. For example I had a 20 amp breaker and a 15 amp electrical outlet. They corrected these issues and I realize that I made a mistake with my prior electrician. But my prior electrician installed them without letting me know that they were inconsistent. Alpha power electric corrected these and other items and they did it in a very reasonable time. All in all I give them a five out of five stars for their honesty, dedication and friendly service. I trust him 100%. A lot of these electrical companies you call and they are horrible. Being able to trust your electrician is one of the most important things in terms of fixing your projects. Making sure that they show up on time, making sure they get the work done correctly, and making sure that they will follow through and complete the job. I trust this company. They asked for pictures of the breaker and the issue, diagnosed it quickly, and offered same-day service. Communication was incredibly easy and clear, all by text. When I spoke with Mike at Harris Electric to ask about pricing (his quote came bake at 2.5k for a simple install), I explained how I measured the wire distance and noted that I had received three other quotes from Tesla-certified/recommended electricians that were all over $1,000 less. Instead of addressing my questions professionally, Mike quickly became argumentative. He repeated the same explanation multiple times without really engaging with my concerns. When I attempted to interject and state that I was no longer interested due to both the cost and the tone of the interaction, he raised his voice, used profanity, and ultimately called me a "f***ing clown." There is no reason for that, and no reason for Mike to speak to me the way that he did. The situation escalated further when he began bringing up religion and pushing Jesus into the conversation despite me clearly indicating I was not interested. I ended the call, but he proceeded to call me back multiple times continuing to argue, repeat himself, and boast about his "good reviews" as if that would change how he treated me. At no point was there any meaningful attempt to handle the situation professionally, aside from a few disingenuous "I'm sorry" comments while continuing to speak to me in the same manner. I have never experienced this level of hostility from a contractor. Based on this interaction, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. Especially when there are so many other Tesla-certified electricians in the area who are far more professional. No one should be subjected to profanity, personal insults, or unwanted religious discussion when simply trying to obtain a quote and do business.

They refuse to give you a cost estimate, no matter how basic the job or how detailed you describe the problem, until you pay them $70 to come out to your house. Dear Yelpers, please please do NOT normalize this greedy practice by giving this company or any company that does this your business. They'll say it's a standard industry practice. It is not. There are many honest services out there that offer free cost estimates and don't try to manipulate you to buy their products. They'll also say the fee is to compensate for the time that the technicians spend coming out, but that's just being dishonest. That $70 sure as hell ain't going to the worker. If they're being dishonest before you even hire them, think about what else they'd be dishonest about. Please stay away. I don't want to live in a world where I have to pay money to know how much something costs.
