We arrived around 11am there were 2 parties going on and thankfully wasn't busy! Compared to the RP-Fresno location this is smaller but I actually liked it more than Rp. The play area is cleaner. Upon entry we were greeted. You have to sign waivers before you can enter. They had a self-serve kiosk or a QR code you can scan. At the time we arrived the kiosk was a bit lagging so it took a few minutes for us to get our waivers signed. It's about $20 per child (1+) and 2 adult for free per child. Socks are required, you can bring your own or you can purchase there. They give you bins to place your shoes in as it's a no shoe zone once they let you in (you can where your shoes in the bathroom area). They offer lockers for free, they sell snack and drinks. There's plenty of chairs and tables. Your admission is good for the whole day, so keep your receipt if you're planning to leave and come back before they . They have a room where the kids can have a dance party, or play projected arcade games. My husband and I tagged teamed our kids and we were only there for alittle over an hour and they KO'd in the car. If you're looking for a place to get your littles energy out this place is it, guaranteed fun!

I could see my child in the soccer playing area. A child from this school was also in the soccer area. This child from the field trip who appeared to be age 8-9 grabbed my child and was hurting him. My child's cousin who was nearby yelled at him to stop and tried to put himself in between my child and the field trip boy to help him to get away from my child. The field trip child then grabbed my nephews head and forcefully pushed it into my child's mouth and said the words "that's right."My child shaking and crying was able to come back down to me with a full bloody mouth. Cleaning him up and assessing him, he got two teeth knocked out by the force. As well as now he has additional teeth that have turned fully gray now due to the force and the trauma. There was no assessment from any representative from the school with there being at least 6 adults to chaperone this large group. No assessment of my child, no remorse, no care, and no communication to help this violent child be aware of what he just did. I was approached by a women from the field trip and a man who started harassing me due to the situation, as they did not belive that one of their children could have done such a thing. The staff Mckenna and V were very kind to my family and I while trying to comfort my child who was severely injured as well as being harassed by an adult (s) with this school. Come to find out I was informed by staff that corporate moved this field trips time so there was no floor staff to help supervise. Our experience here has been traumatic. Despite myself watching my child play, you have to be reminded that you cannot control other children whom are violent. Kids empire corporation has been notified and we have reached out multiple times but there is so remorse, no care, and no consequences as to what happened which is sad. The waiver you sign locks you in despite them being short staff and having no staff on the floor. My point of making this review is to remind people that come here that other kids and adults can be violent and there's no consequences. As well as having no staff on the floor to supervise is also pretty sad. Extremely unfortunate incident that could have been prevented since that child was violent a few times with others before this incident. It just happened to be my child that got his teeth knocked out. Just your reminder that there are unkind people in the world, and to keep your child glued to you to prevent other violent kids attacking yours and don't rely on any staff to keep the area safe. Be the kind.

The rec center is included with student fees, and it's about $40-$50 for alumni/staff/faculty, which is a great price for what it offers and what other gyms don't offer/their prices. This rec center has 3 workout spaces with free weights and machines, an outdoor lap pool and leisure pool (includes whirlpool, basketball hoops in pool), 3 studios for classes that are included (hip hop cardio, Pilates, 6-pack abs, body pump, breakaway (form of spin), etc.), an indoor basketball court, volleyball courts, sand volleyball courts outside and BBQ pits. I love that I rarely ever wait for a machine or free weights, and I can save my spot for a class a day before.

The staff keep the areas clean and are always wiping down the machines. There are 3 main areas to work out in (treadmills, elliptical, bikes, weights, etc.). You can take all of the classes with your membership like yoga, spin, and more. The gym offers other amenities like a basketball court, racquetball courts, pools outside, and nice locker rooms with showers. Since there are so many things to do, there are usually a lot of people! The best time to go is really early in the morning (students are usually still sleeping). The only downside to the Rec Center is parking...if you do not have a student parking pass, it is extremely difficult to find parking. You either have to pay for a daily pass or roam the streets for free 2-hour parking. I wish the membership included a parking pass! Overall I love this gym and will continue to purchase a membership!

Be sure to bring socks! Both kids and adults need to wear regular socks (grippy socks aren't required). The play area is huge, with plenty of space for kids to explore and burn off energy. There are also lots of tables and seating for parents to relax and watch their kids. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Even though they're surrounded by excited, noisy kids all day, everyone we interacted with was kind, patient, and happy to help.

The #1 field is filled with obstacles, barrels, and some small earthen berms to maneuver behind. The field is composed of dry grass and is perfect for intermediate players and those new to the sport. The main theme of "the field" is safety; as it should be. If you happen to forget your barrel bag or for some crazy reason take off your mask while on the field, you will be reminded in a friendly way that will keep you from making a potentially dangerous mistake a second time. Safety first is the overriding theme as it should be. If you don't want to play safe then go somewhere where the staff could care less. Yes, you still have to deal with the stereotypical annoying gym people. The guy with the hoodie on who looks like batman slamming weights, the girls doing "leg" exercises snapchatting the entire time, and even the guy doing speed rope in the dumbbell area. Oh that's right, don't forget the guy with headphones on rapping louder than he should. Besides that, staff is hit or miss. Some have an inflated sense of self while others are very helpful. But the shining stars are the rock wall staff! They'll help you strap up, coach you, and help you conquer your fears! You go rock wall staff! Best gym in Bakersfield!
