Fantastic addition to the neighborhood!! The food here was absolutely delicious and portions were generous. We ordered the lemongrass coronarita's (they seemed absurdly fun, and were), dumplings and then each ordered an entree. We left absolutely stuffed and with plenty of leftovers. So the food is absolutely delicious. Great Thai food. Here is where they fall short. The wait staff is horrendous. Incompetent wait staff. If they fix the wait staff I think it would elevate your restaurant tremendously. I have dined in and ordered online. Each time the wait staff has ruined the experience. Ordered online, my order never was delivered. Call in wait staff says those orders are handled by Grubhub. But I ordered from their website. Said they can't even look my order up. I call back and after a while thing. They find my order and I have to go in and pick it up. It's not the complete order so I have to wait for them to finish it. read more

Just had one of the slowest and most disrespectful dining experiences I've had in a long time on a Sunday morning this july 26th. As soon as we walked in, the young girl at the front counter, who couldn't have been more than 17, loudly yelled, "Table for two?" across the restaurant. It wasn't welcoming at all and immediately set the tone. Our server never asked us any questions about our lunch specials or how we wanted anything prepared. Then our appetizers and entrées all came out at the same time, but the rice that was supposed to come with the entrée didn't arrive until about five minutes later. It made the whole meal feel rushed and poorly organized. When we were almost finished, the server simply dropped off to-go boxes and the check because we apparently "looked ready." She never asked if we wanted boxes or if we were finished eating. The food itself was good, and the restaurant is clean with a very nice, upscale atmosphere. The prices certainly reflect that, which is why the service was so disappointing. When we thanked our server, the only response was, "No problem." Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but basic courtesy and professionalism still matter, especially at a restaurant charging premium prices. Overall, was it a really positive experience in terms of the service, food, and ambiance. In terms of the service, we were seated quickly, and our server recommended some dishes, and we followed her preferences. We got the red curry, papaya salad, chicken, and not pictured is the mango sticky rice. All were very flavorful and had a good amount of heat when desired. It was a clean restaurant, and it was quite busy on a Friday night. The dishes came out quickly, and there was nothing to complain about. The mango sticky rice was a good way to end the dinner. This restaurant was a great experience. The chicken pad Thai had flavor, the chicken was fresh with a few veggies and the noodles were cooked well. The pepper steak was very good. They are a star short because service was pleasant but brutally slow. The "Now Hiring" song should have been a clue. Just understaffed but the flavors of the food and the quality of ingredients as well as the selection is unmatched! Asked for some hot sauces and they were so good I took them back to the hotel. This place is only a month old. It's located in that same plaza as Hollywood Blvd. You can probably just eat here and then order soda at the movie theater. I was impressed by the renovation, it looks very chic. The customer service was excellent. Everyone was welcoming and attentive. We ordered tom kha (small ), Thai pepper steak, and panang curry. We also ordered Thai iced tea and yuzu soda. You know a place is worth returning to if they give you extra large cups for drinks. Some places give you like the tiniest cups ever for the same price. Prices were great. All food portions were massive. You'll definitely have leftovers to take to work or eat at home. -Tom kha (small) 5 - the small is like a large size. I really enjoyed how creamy and savory this soup was. You get a good amount of chicken and mushrooms. -Thai pepper steak 5 - it's been a long time since I had the Chinese version but this one was good. The portion is big enough for 2-3 meals. Have had several menu items, mostly curry. Dined in, and carried out, the service was good and wait times were short. Has a nice modern, sleek interior and brand new w/o a textile smell. Very clean. Now for the food: Crab Rangoons : beautiful crispy wrapper, fresh cream cheese, but where was the crab? Should have been called cream cheese Rangoons. Panang flavor was very traditional, the veggies were great, but not enough protein. Know Soi delicious, but lacked enough protein and it's the same with the Pad Thai. Very pleasant experience at Lemongrass Thai. Loved the interior of this spot. Inviting, modern, and very clean. Service was perfect. The FOOD was solid. We tried 3 menu items: Chicken Satay, Curry Fried Rice (Mild) with Chicken, and Mango Sticky Rice. Chicken Satay was delicious. Tender, juicy, flavorful chicken paired with a very tasty peanut sauce and a refreshing cucumber salad. (Chicken) Curry Fried Rice (Mild) was pretty good. Solid (yellow) curry flavor. I wish they offered a red curry (fried rice) option (that's my personal favorite). My only critique for this dish is that the pieces of chicken were too big -- I'd love for them to be a bit more "bite-sized." Mango Sticky Rice could use some improvement. I really wanted this dish to hit, but (sadly) it was quite underwhelming. The sticky rice wasn't "sticky" enough and the mango wasn't sweet -- it was pretty sour actually. The dessert lacked sweetness overall. Lemongrass Thai is an excellent option to satisfy your cravings for Thai food. If anybody is familiar with the Champaign-Urbana area, I had Siam Terrace in the back of my mind (as a reference) as I tried this spot for the first time. read more

Went here first time with my wife tonight and we're really excited to have a great Thai restaurant so close. All the ingredients were fresh, good protein portions, and excellent flavors. We had the giant grilled squid, panang noodle with chicken and spicy kangpa curry with shrimp. No alcohol that we saw... maybe waiting on liquor license... just a heads up on that. I went yesterday, and had the crab Rangoon, and some pad Thai and my friend and I split a couple cocktails we saw on the menu, and he also had curry, it was great, the food was tasty and was brought out by our server Alex, who was very patient due to it being our first time there, he recommended we try some mango dessert which was amazing, and got us some Thai drinks as well! Tried Lemongrass for the first time tonight. We had carry-out. Ordered Tom Kai - flavorful, lots of chicken. Also crab Rangoon which was very crispy and we especially enjoyed the dipping sauce - as another diner noted, where is the crab? Entree was ginger chicken - lots of chicken and vegetables. Very tasty. All in all, we enjoyed this meal. Portion sizes are generous. The decor is very chic and clean. Customer Service was very efficient and welcoming. We'll definitely try dine-in next time. Our booth reeked heavily of bleach, and we were ignored for a long time before a completely confused waitress finally took our order--without ever offering us drinks. Even though she repeated our order back to confirm it, our platter still came out with the exact items we explicitly asked to remove. Before we could say anything, she vanished, leaving us with absolutely no utensils to eat our food. To top it all off, they dropped the check on the table right in the middle of our meal.
