Fast forward 6 months after taxes had been filed and we had issues with both states saying we didn't provide certain items. We tried contacting our lady to help us or explain what was going on and she NEVER responded! Not to emails, not to phone calls, nothing! We ended up having to deal with each entity on our own and figuring it out - which took months. My first experience with a tax professional was Gabrielle Luoma. I got a groupon (pre-paid coupon) as a gift so I thought I'd let someone else do my taxes for once. My experience was terrible, my taxes were filed incorrectly, I contacted her office and was treated rudely by her staff (over email and the telephone). I had to file an amendment to my correct taxes and as of today (9 months later) the IRS still hasn't resolved the matter. Between calls with Luoma's office and the IRS I've spend many hours trying to deal the errors that resulted from her office disregarding my instruction to consider my fellowship income/earnings (I even handed Gabrielle the relevant info from the IRS at our initial meeting).
