Ok. I went to someone else who retired this year. I called Tucson Tax Team again, after hours, and left a voicemail. When they hadn't returned my call after a few days, I called again during office hours and again received their voicemail. I left another message and, again, never heard back from them. If they're so busy that the support staff can't even return calls, how much time would they spend on my taxes and how much attention would they give them? Good, conscientious service starts with the first contact.

Searching on-line I was impressed with Jennifer's website as well as the structured way she approaches returns. After a delightful phone conversation we were ready to try her service. For those that are adverse to working on-line this may not be for you but her website allows you to quickly enter or download all the information needed for your return. Since we were new we also needed to complete a short questionnaire and download our prior years return along with our 1099s. Being new was made easy and the investment of 15 mins was well worth the outcome. Jennifer confirmed information received and all communications within 24 hours (normally a couple of hours). Bottom line...a new client, complicated return, multiple states, several communications and we had our return within 4 days. Jennifer is a wizard of efficiency as is her site. Best yet...she is not only responsive but a delight to work with. This is only our first return but Jennifer gets a 10+ from us.

Melissa turned it all around and helped me along the way with understanding more about the process. She NEVER said a shaming word made me feel like dumb-dumb (I felt enough of that on my own). I love working with her and the easy to understand monthly reports she gives me. She's helpful and gets back to me quickly when I text or call her with questions. I strongly recommend that you avoid working with Mike and Verity Tax. At best he's incompetent. At…read moreworst he's downright scammy. I signed up back in October 2022. He made a great first impression. Promising to reconcile my books, handle taxes, have calls to strategize, and move my business from the state I used to live to Arizona. I asked if we could have a set up call early on to go over how my books had been categorized. He assured me that it wasn't necessary. Fast forward to early 2023. My books are complete. Unfortunately around 60% of all profit and loss was mis-categorized. To make things worse, there were careless mistakes. The same contractor paid back to back days. First categorized under contractors, then categorized under "credit card payment". I had to take 2 days off to undo everything and do it myself. To make things worse, when you ask about things, he'll try to gaslight you into thinking it's your fault. He'll bring up something he asked for months ago that I never gave him. Even though there's no record of the request in emails or notes. In the end, he'll keep stringing you along collecting monthly payments until you've realized you wasted hundreds if not thousands of dollars. He barely accomplished anything stated in the contract he sent. I'd look into hiring a different CPA.
