Do you want to get made fun of your teeth? Then this is the perfect place for you! My mom and I would always get our teeth cleaned here and it was all fine. But our last visit was very unprofessional. I guess the front desk lady didn't realize my mom and I were still in the waiting room. But she was saying very loud saying "that mom's teeth is disgusting. Full of tar and oh my god, her breath fu*cking smells". Then she looks in the waiting room, and boom her eyes and mouth wide open. When I first called to request how much a teeth cleaning visit would cost without insurance, I was told they could not provide that information. Every other dentist provided a basic cost. Lame. Once I had insurance I made the mistake of making an appointment with Dr Stine. My appt. was scheduled for 9am, that is when they open, and I was asked to come in early to fill out the paperwork. I sat there until 9:45 am and no one showed up, not the receptionist, not the doctor. The only guy there said he was there to fix the computers and stated they were late. 45 minutes is more than late. I left them a voicemail letting them know I would be seeking a new dentist. I provided them with my phone number in case they wanted to apologize for the mistake...no one bothered to call. I have seen Dr. Stine before and everyone in the office speaks a different language other than English. It's rather unprofessional. This is America and you should be able to see a dentist who is at least willing to speak English in your presence. My husband has been going to her for some time and he doesn't have complaints...but he will be seeing a new doctor now. She lost two patients this week! I have not been handling reviews lately as I am too busy but I will eventually get back around to it. In the meanwhile I could not let this horrible dentist office slide. So here is what to expect from this dentist office in 4 easy facts. #1 They will attempt to steal from you, expect them to tell you that you owe xyz money even if you have 100% coverage. I had to come back and collect my money back from them after the fact. #2 They charge 2-3x what most dental insurance companies will cover as they are obviously only interested in the money. #3 They do shoddy work and do not stand by it, if you have a crown, cap or cracked tooth that they poorly handle they will act like it is not their fault that they are incompetent and demand a kings ransom to fix the problem they caused. #4 They are only open a few days a week for a few hours, this is your biggest indicator that they have ZERO work ethic and are stealing every cent from people they can while open. (BONUS FACT 5! The reviews on this yelp are primarily fictional and made by the staff or owner) So if your wondering who to trust and if you should be going in to this office just look at the reviews, think real hard and go somewhere else. I believe a kind hobo could probably perform better services for a better rate so I really mean ANYWHERE else. read more

After moving from Colorado, Dr. Stein's office was our first stop in search of a new dentist. What a lesson learned... 1- Nothing but interns, this made for an overly long visit without a whole lot of actual attention and some very uncomfortable X-rays. 2- After taking X-rays I was told "had to be taken" and "are covered by your insurance" they attempted to charge my husband when he came in for a cleaning. Thankfully he called me prior to making any kind of payment and with some muscle and complaints this was eventually sorted out. 3- A very rushed Dr. Stein appeared for a few fleeting minutes of my visit only to tell me I had significant dental work to be done (my previous dentist whom I had seen not long prior never noted this, nor did my next dentist). 4- My husband went in for a routine cleaning and was over sold on a deep cleaning he didn't need. So much for trustworthy doctors. 5- This office has even tacked on his debt to my credit report - big no no. Over all, after being seen by another dentist and speaking about my experience with Stein, this is a common complaint - they'll charge you for whatever they can "justify" the moment you're in that chair. I can't begin to tell you how deeply I appreciate Dr. Stine and her staff. Warning! Story time! I had to get a root canal in October 2013. I went through the procedure with an endodontist that Dr. Stine recommended - he was fantastic. Then had to go to a periodontist to get crown lengthening. After all that was done, I was back in Dr. Stine's office to complete my crown. She noticed damage on the adjacent tooth of the root canal tooth and submitted an inquiry to my insurance company about who would be responsible as it was, clearly, damage. When the insurance company refused to assist, Dr. Stine and her staff member, Cathy, were on my side the whole way. They walked me through my options: paying to just get it fixed or taking it to CDA. I opted for getting a peer review at CDA. Keep in mind, I had the root canal procedure done over a year ago. I'm expecting the results of the peer review (to determine who is responsible for damages and costs) this month. This whole year, Dr. Stine and Cathy have helped me get through this peer review and put back my temporary crown at least 3 times (it's temporary after all...it's not going to stay in for a whole year) at the drop of a hat. I've done cleanings, fillings, deep cleanings, you name it with Dr. Stine and have always had a great experience - bad news or not. I cannot recommend and thank Dr. Stine and her staff enough. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Stine for about 5 years since I moved to the Dublin area. She's so sweet, caring, gentle, and personable. Her assisting staff rotates quite frequently, and I hardly get to see the same faces each time I visit, but her front office staff has also stayed with her for some time now. Kathi and Luz are amazing with remembering my preferences for appointment reminders, and seem to get used to me cancelling my appointments last minute because I travel for a living, so now they call a little earlier to confirm my appointments. Pros: Clean. Modern Equipment. Cons: Mostly everyone there speaks Taglaog in front of the patients so it feels like they are talking about you even if they aren't. Just makes you feel uncomfortable. They recommend procedures that are really not necessary. They practically said I needed to change all my fillings because they were loose. I went to another dentist later on and they said my fillings were fine. I went in to fill one cavity that they recommended and they ended up taking out a bunch of perfectly good fillings and refilling them (without my permission) and then when I left I found out they didn't even fill the cavity I originally went in for. They did go back and fix the cavity but I was out $500 for the other fillings I didn't need. read more

I was with the same dentist for 25 years, and had to switch. I chose Dr. Stine and had my first visit with them today. It was an awesome visit. The staff is really friendly, they know what they are talking about as well as what they are doing. They saw me in a timely fashion. Got the work done for me done fast and effective. There technology looks like top line. When they were doing something they explained what they were doing. They answered my questions when I asked why, with no hesitation either. I will be bringing my kids here in about a month when there insurance goes through :) i recommend them. read more

Been to Dr. Stine's Office 3 times in the past month. The office is very clean, nicely decorated, parking was never a problem, and she has a good support staff. What really prompted this review was the fact that Dr. Stine fixed a troublesome cracked front tooth so quickly, without compromising quality. She has very gentle hands, and my tooth looked beautiful. Her assistant Francisco is super nice, and is great with kids. He worked fast and made sure my child was comfortable while cleaning her teeth. Keep up the good work ! read more

I have insurance through CoveredCA with DeltaCare. I choose Dr. Stine based on reviews on this site. Coincidentally, I got a toothache and have had pain. I called Dr. Stine's office and was told my coverage will start on May 1st. Called DeltaCare to see what can be done to see a dentist immediately. DeltaCare representative was very helpful. She told me she can start my coverage with Dr. Stine as of today. Called back Dr. Stine's office and spoke to Cathy (or Katy) was told they don't have any paperwork from DeltaCare. Called again DeltaCare and they assured me I was covered as of today. Called again and the receptionist Cathy told me that she doesn't have me in the system and she won't be able to make an appointment anyway. Her lack of concern for patients and the way she communicated with me made me think to choose another Dr. She should not be in business of patient care. Awful service from the first call. Looking for another Dr and you should do the same. read more

I had a total of 4 appointments with Dr. Stine. Her office is very nice and clean so I felt like it was definitely a safe place. However, she was at least 15 minutes late every time. Once I had to wait about 45 minutes. She works very quickly, but did not interact much with me and neglected to fully explain the treatment she said I needed. I also had a filling replaced and now my tooth has a small rough patch on it. read more

I originally started going to this dentist because it was close to home and accepted my insurance. I just needed my teeth cleaned and a cavity filled. I had to get my records transferred here first and have an evaluation appointment. Ok, sounds reasonable right. I have my records transferred and they lose it 3 times. Finally I get my evaluation and they say I need to replace almost all my fillings because they are either old, cracked or loose which I really don't believe was true because they said the same thing to my husband about his teeth when he came in for a cleaning too. How convenient. I have to make another appointment Cha Ching....$400 bucks later (that is above the insurance) I get all my fillings re-filled all except for the cavity I originally asked to be filled. I don't realize until I leave that its not filled so I have to make another appointment to fill that cavity. i've never had a problem with my old fillings but only 1 year and a half later I get a chip in one of the new fillings she put in. Cha ching...$40 bucks to fill that chip. 2 months later I get another chip in my filling. I think its the same chip so I go in and they say I don't have to pay anything to fix the chip. Turns out its the other filling that they put in that has chipped. Cha ching, another $96 to fix that chip. I think I'm not going to have to pay for it but 2 days later I get a bill for $96 and they say, we didn't charge you for fixing the chip, we charged you for the chair time. Are they nuts! I seriously spent 10 minutes in the office for them to fix the chip and they charge me $96. That means they charge what $600 an hour? Finally, the chip they just fixed and charged me for comes off in less then a week. I ask them to reverse the charges and they say it was just a temporary fix until I could get it fixed for real. So they charged me $96 for nothing but wasting my time driving to the office and fixing a chip that comes off in a week. read more
