Dr. Birnbaum is extremely rude and a horrible doctor! Every time I take my mother in there all he…read moredoes is talk about her meds and we've waited hours to even be seen by him. He never asks her how she's doing and every time she attempts to say something to him, he puts his hand up and says wait a minute and she never gets her questions answered. A visit we had about a month ago, towards the end he said, "I think we're done" and I said "no we're not, there's something I would like to discuss with you." And yells and says, "yes we are done! I've been in here with you guys over an hour and I have other patients to see!" I could not believe my ears!!!! So he realized what he said and finally discussed the other issue. So I took my mother for a follow up visit yesterday and he yelled at her for taking 2 of the same meds that HE prescribed to her, which was causing her to throw up, due to HIS MISTAKE!! So basically he had been over medicating her!! Then he requested that she gets lab work done downstairs. Once we got down there, we looked through the stack of papers he handed us and the lab slip was not even in there!!! We had to go back up to the office, mind you my mother's in a wheelchair! By this time I'm in fumes! He's constantly yelling and cursing (which to me is very disrespectful to my elderly mother) at is laptop because he don't know what he's doing. When he walked in the room yesterday morning his rude a** didn't even speak, he takes personal phone calls during her visits with him and then step out the room as if we have all day to be in there. There's signs all over that says no cel phones, so I believe he should reciprocate the same respect. I am so over this man. I don't know what his problem is. It seems like something outside of his practice is consuming him and he has lost sight of his career or he is overwhelmed with patients because that place is ran pretty much like a free clinic. My mother has been seeing him every since they were on San Bruno Ave. She's been seeing him for over 30 years and she deserves far better treatment than that. Yesterday was her last visit with him. I will be finding her a new doctor. I don't recommend anyone seeing him.

I was able to get a walk-in appointment in the morning and went in quite quickly. I got to the office around 8:45 and was third on the list. I was seen around 9:45 (they did not start seeing patients until 9:30a) His staff is also very busy but personable and caring. I had much difficulty figuring out who accepted my insurance for a test and they cleared up the entire situation quickly. I would highly recommend Dr. Lim as a PCP. He was assigned to me randomly through my insurance and I feel lucky that I got him! I saw another review noted they had to pay $15 for a disability signature. Having worked in a doctors office myself I know what goes into the analysis and follow-up paper work of such a request and $15 is quite low and reasonable for such a request. Also- office is in St Luke's. There is Peet's coffee in the lobby. Wifi available but not working at the time of my visit.

She is the most personable and caring doctor I've ever had. Advice for patients: Be open with your doctors about all your health needs, concerns, and goals. Not only physical but mental and emotional too. Dr. Dydell helped me in such a critical time of my life when I was transitioning from mental/physical illness to health. She worked with my needs and didn't push "the typical methods of healthcare" on me. For example, I wanted to go for more natural forms of healthcare and she was so supportive in my decision! Other doctors in my experience, have almost shut down the idea to give me prescription drugs. But not Dydell! She is truly for her patients. Horrible place! They treat patients with contempt!…read more I selected this doctor through my insurance. I am Latino and I wanted a Latino doctor. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist made me feel like I was bothering her. She asked me what insurance I had, and I told her it was a PPO. She said I could go see any doctor I wanted, so why was I trying to make an appointment with Dr. Bonilla. I explained that I would like to have one principal doctor to manage my health. She then said that Dr. Bonilla had not been assigned to me, and repeated that I could go see any other doctor. I told her that I knew he had not been assigned to me, that I selected him and that the insurance's website says he is accepting new patients. She then grudgingly said the next appointment was in July. I said fine, I can wait until July. She then said that that my ID number and birth date did not match the insurance database. I explained that I have seen other doctors and received medical care and everything was fine with the name, ID numbers, and birthdate, and asked what next step can I take so that I am seen by the doctor. She kept fighting with me about this issue! That Dr. Bonilla was not assigned to me, that I can (should!) go to another doctor. She then put me on hold, and after several minutes a different person answered and told me that the doctor would not be taking new patients. So yeah. I had never been treated with such contempt by a receptionist and basically made me feel that they did not want me as a patient and that I should go somewhere else. Just a horrible experience.

The best part about her was that at every postpartum appointment she made sure to set aside time to talk to me. I had one appointment where I was super overwhelmed because my newborn daughter's bilirubin levels had been spiking. I spent my first postpartum week in and out of hospitals and emergency rooms because I was getting varying information from the on call pediatricians. Dr. Niemi not only calmed me down and made me feel better but she ordered a test for that very evening and got back to me first thing the next morning. Not only is she great professionally but she has a great memory. At every appointment she would ask me follow up questions about my family's day to day life like my husband's work events, me returning to work, etc. I was impressed that she remembered so much! She also was always able to work with my schedule. I couldn't recommend her more. My insurance changed and we just got a new pediatrician but I miss Dr. Niemi and her staff SO MUCH.

This clinic is the worst that I have ever been- highly disorganized, the receptionist was rude. Booking an appointment can be done online however, that said, if you need clarification and call the clinic, no one picks up the phone and instructed to leave a message but no one calls back. I tried calling the following day as soon as their clinic opened and was glad that I was second on queue. When it was my turn, what do you know, I was directed to a voicemail saying I need to leave a message and someone will call back, of course nobody called back. I tried calling every day before my appointment at different times but my call was not picked up nor did anyone called back. The day of my appointment arrived, I got there and told them my concern, of course they were not prepared i.e. they didnt have the test that I needed and vaccinations because nobody picked up my calls and nobody called back either. So I was told to come back for another day like people have time to waste! The receptionist was rude when I complained and said that she can not handle my complain because she just started her shift!
