Amazing gem in the center of Vienna! After several days of Schnitzel we were ready to branch out…read moretonight and Hao was absolutely perfect! The restaurant is located just opposite the Burggarten, and easy to find with Google maps ( a must for tired travelers.) We were able to make same day reservations and were seated immediately when we arrived. The menu was thorough and informative (and available in both German and English.) We ordered Xiao Long Bao (a favorite) and Crispy chicken noodle soup (to try out the house made noodles which came highly recommended.) The water we ordered came chilled(!!) and I added a pot of Ginseng Ginger tea which was presented beautifully and tasted perfect. The Xiao Long Bao came in a steamer of 3- perfect for one person, but one more would have been nice for splitting between two people. The taste made up for it though- they were large, filled with juice, meat and flavor, and HOT. Absolutely delicious. Shortly after our soup arrived and it was perfection. The presentation is reminiscent of a Japanese bento box, with several elements each presented separately- great for allowing the diner to personalize the meal. I'm trying to limit grease intake, so having the friend chicken on a separate plate was an unexpected delight, allowing me to enjoy it without it taking over my meal. There was also a small serving of a kimchi/sauerkraut type cabbage dish, and a plate with onions and cilantro to add to your taste. But the noodle soup is why I'm writing this review. The soup itself was a chicken based broth with the depth of flavor I would expect from a fine dining location. It was rich, silky, and complex. The noodles had the bite that tells you they are fresh not dried- long, perfectly between the thickness of a ramen noodle and an udon noodle, and complimented the broth perfectly. In addition, the soup was filled with fresh, beautiful vegetables-- carrot, bok choy, bean sprouts, broccoli, mushroom, zucchini... In all honesty, this meal was one I will remember for a very long time. If you are in Vienna, add this to you the TOP of your list.

Yummy Asian noodle eatery! Nice change of pace vs. all the wonderful local Bavarian and Austrian…read morefoods. Highly recommend this alternative if you're in the mood for some homemade noodles (ramen) and dumplings, and savory Asian fusion flavors! This was a solid 4.5 rated experience with excellent apps and meals, dish presentation, smiling and efficient service, very quaint ambience. Expect to pay $15-16 euro for soup meals, and $7-10 euro for starters. Reservations accepted but we didn't have a problem as walk in for a table Friday at 7p. Started with the Beijing Duck wraps, crispy sliced duck served with cucumber, scallions and plum sauce which you wrapped in a thin steamed crepe - fantastic, tasty and tender! Quantity was enough for 2 to try, however if hungry, suggest ordering 1 app per person to share. For dinner, we had 1 Veggie/Tofu soup and 1 Braised Pork Ribs noodle soup. These were served very temperature hot, and each meal was filling and hit the spot. Loved the fresh veggies, tasty protein, generous noodle quantity, and plenty of broth. In my opinion, you won't be disappointed on any of their dishes. After a long and cold travel day, this was conveniently located in short walking distance from our hotel and Opera House, so stop in for a quick bite if craving Asian fusion foods. ENJOY!!

However, when we got there they said their kitchen was backed up and that we'd have to wait at least 30 minutes. Instead, we looked online, crossed the road, and found this place within a block. This is a no-frills Chinese eatery. They have 3 - 4 tables along each wall as you enter. There is a central aisle that takes you up to the counter for to-go orders. The staff is all Chinese. They provided a menu that had a mix of Chinese, German, and English. We were thus able to find a few dishes to share. Three of us split some noodles, fried dumplings, and one or 2 other dishes. We were hungry enough to finish everything. It was quality food. Prices seemed fair. They seemed to do a steady stream of take out as well as what appeared to be locals just stopping in briefly for a bowl of noodles or the like. If you like Chinese food and are just looking for something simple and quick, this is a good choice.

Rest was ok and nothing in particular worth coming back from. Whether it's the water spinach, eggplants, noodles. The best dish which is also just average are the cold sesame noodles. Skip the cold xi an noodle.
