The Riders immediately went down 5-0... and then got back 2 immediately. Then they went down 8-2... and won. The final score was the same as the date and that's all I'll say about that. The unquestionable highlight of the day was just after Rob Brantly doubled in the go-ahead runs and took third on a wild pitch. The wild pitch resulted in the pitcher leaving injured, so everyone had some time to hang out waiting. The crowd - led by the drunk guy next to us - started chanting ROB-ERT-BRANT-LY and clapping until he acknowledged us. So then... then... as he came back to third base to resume the game, I shouted randomly "I'M JEALOUS OF YOUR HAIR!" He turned around and I gestured to my own bald pate. Prior to the game: 3 stars because the netting goes all the way down both baselines and you can't walk around the stadium. During the game: 4 stars, a good number of promotions, good sightlines, plenty of foul balls to catch. After the game: It was an exciting comeback by the visiting Renegades (my own High A team as a Yankees fan) and the moose came to visit our section, so a grudging 5 stars. But the celery should also have come and visited us! Just saying for next time.
