Great way into the park! Loved the walk from the resort to Legoland was really short.

We have been coming to this water park the whole summer and it has been an amazing experience. If you come early, there are plenty of umbrellas and chairs to choose from. The water is usually warm and we usually battle with our kids cause they never want to go home. Our favorite part is the wave pool where you get to enjoy and relax on a wavy pool while laughing at your kids getting slapped by the wave near the shore. They're the ones who like being tossed around by the wave. We also like the water pad where the water squirts or creates multiple water arcs, and kids just run around and get wet. This is the place where parents can just sit or lay under umbrellas while watching their kids. We rented a cabana once when we had family guests from Texas. There was a breastfeeding baby so we thought, a cabana would be great, and it was. the server took us to our cabana and explained everything. You really do not need to go anywhere to get food. You just text your server what you want and the server will get the food for you. We also got two free Legoland towels and a huge Legoland bag. We'll be going back as soon as it opens again for the next summer. Totally worth it.

Despite by the time we're on the trip in April, it was going to be a cold - 60-70s and maybe rainy day. Tried to convince him otherwise but he made up his mind months ago, haha. Well it turned out that the son came out on our day but it was still cold, mid-60's. Unfortunately Chime park side was closed. Forgot when I sold this park initially to him that LEGOLAND is geared towards the younger age. As is the water park, the slides and rides are on the smaller kid age. So it should be perfect for son sons age of 5, but he has been to larger water parks and rode the big thrilling rides. So he had fun there, but he said it's bay ride slides haha. Then add on to that the wind chills and temperature. Our waterpark adventure ended pretty quickly. We did however make the rest of the day in the theme park end. By the way to go to the water park you need to also have tickets for the theme park as it's inside the theme park.

Or, in our case, we chose to wrap up the summer fun with something simple, nice, and close to home--so we headed to The Wave Waterpark in Vista. This local staple has been around since before I can remember, and returning as an adult brings back a wave of nostalgia. We walked right in without any hassle, and the restrooms and showers near the entrance were fairly clean and convenient. We reserved a private cabana, which I highly recommend for a cool, hassle-free home base during a long day in the sun. There are four water slides and all of them are a blast, featuring clear intensity ratings on the signage so you know what you're getting into before heading up. My whole family loved every slide, though surprisingly, my son said his absolute favorite spot was simply splashing around in the main pool. While slide wait times were smooth and efficient, the line to snag a free single tube for the lazy river can get jammed. We rented a double tube and a single tube directly, which saved us a ton of extra waiting. Standard theme park fare like pizza and nachos are available, but the real winning treats to beat the heat were the Dippin' Dots and root beer floats. Overall, it's a fantastic, family-friendly spot to cool down and pack in some quick summer fun. Planning a trip to the wave? DM us @advntrbums or @advntrbums_mb to find out which cabana locations give you the best shade and prime view of the park.

The bathroom and bedroom also had spider webs throughout, and I personally counted several spiders. I'm not trying to nitpick, but when you're charging a premium price, basic cleanliness and upkeep should be a given. The landscaping is beautiful, and the golf course and tennis courts were absolutely immaculate. Unfortunately, it felt like all the attention was put into the outside appearance while the actual hotel rooms were neglected. It was disappointing to see such a beautiful property not being maintained to the same standard throughout. There are a couple of pool areas. One is a smaller, more traditional pool with a jacuzzi, while the other is geared toward children with several pools and a splash pad area, which was nice for families with young kids. Overall, if you're coming specifically to use the golf course or tennis courts, I would recommend it. However, based on our experience, I would not recommend booking a room here. For the price, the cleanliness and maintenance simply weren't up to the standard I would expect from a resort at this price point.

They're decent enough, but unless you're willing to pay extra for Fast Track, you'll spend far more time waiting in line than actually enjoying the attractions. The new Pokémon event was especially disappointing. We waited about an hour only to find that it was basically an opportunity for kids to play with LEGO Pokémon sets. It felt more like a toy demo than an actual attraction and definitely wasn't worth the wait. Overall, I'd recommend spending a little more and going to Disneyland instead. You'll get much more value for your money and a far better overall experience.

We went back-and-forth with if we wanted to stay there and pay that cost, or if we should stay at another local hotel for our visit. We are glad that we stayed at the hotel. Though the price is high, they provide a lot of great entertainment and things for the children to do right within the hotel. Also, the theming for the hotel is so cool for kids. We loved that there were two separated spaces for adults and kids. We ate at the hotel as well for breakfast and dinner. The food was good enough. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad at all.

Rides: a variety from the calmer ones (riding in a jeep taking pictures of Lego dinos) to the more thrilling ones (coaster! Including the dino coaster for the smaller kids!). Lots to do! Attractions: lots of opportunities to build Legos and seeing them come to life! Ferrari build was a hit! Water park: the park was way bigger than I expected. It has multiple pools, multiple splash pads, multiple playgrounds with water features, a giant wave pool and a thrilling log ride, and more! You have to bring your own towels. Lockers are pricey. Food was hectic and a mess but there were plenty of food stalls and options. You could definitely spend many hours just at the water park. Aquarium: it's tiny but nice to be out of the sun, having a bit more calm. Good variety of sea creatures. A hit with the kiddos. Bathrooms: they were always very clean! Complaints: all the soda refill stations were out of ice by mid day and no one ever refilled them. And multiple machines were out of sodas at the same time. They need to refill these machines much more often. Food in the UFO food hall took forever. Favorite attractions / rides in order: 1 driving school 2 dragon rollercoaster 3 Ferrari build 4 ace cargo 5 emmet's flight (nice and cool indoor)

VIP Tour with Renate Renate was simply amazing. From the moment we met her, we felt like we had known her for years. She has such a warm personality, and her way with children made the experience that much better. She was incredibly sweet and patient with both of our kids and made them feel special throughout the tour. One of the coolest parts was learning how LEGO pieces are made and seeing the different stages of the process. The room we visited was filled with so many little LEGO treasures that our kids were almost overloaded trying to take everything in! We also left with lots of fun little trinkets and souvenirs. The VIP Tour made an already great LEGOLAND trip so much more memorable. If you're considering it, I highly recommend booking it--you won't regret it. And if you get Renate as your guide, even better! Three Days at LEGOLAND Thursday's lines were manageable, but the park became increasingly crowded through Saturday. Definitely download the LEGOLAND app before your visit. You can create a list of attractions, see where everything is located, check showtimes, and monitor wait times. We averaged around 12,000-15,000 steps a day, so planning your route helps! Treat the app's wait times as a guide, not gospel. The new Galaxy coaster showed a 60-minute wait, but we happened to walk by when the line was short and got on in about 25 minutes. Other times, supposedly short waits were actually longer. One-Shot Fast Pass Tip We technically never used a Fast Pass. I purchased one because the app showed a 45-minute wait, but when we arrived there was basically no line. Thankfully, I hadn't scanned the pass and had taken a screenshot of the posted wait. Guest Services was very understanding and refunded it. My advice: if you're considering a one-shot Fast Pass, go to the ride first and look at the actual line. If it's long, buy the pass from your phone then. Don't purchase it in advance solely based on the app. LEGOLAND Castle Hotel We stayed at the Castle Hotel. The rooms are definitely small, but this trip was for the kiddos and they loved it. There are lots of fun touches. You can text the hotel for extra LEGO bricks for the kids to play with. If it's their birthday, they'll put a cool birthday banner outside the room that you can keep. There's also a treasure hunt around the hotel with four questions. Complete it and the kids get the combination to a locked treasure box in the room with a small prize. If you stay multiple nights, you can receive up to two prizes. The playground and pool were awesome too. LEGOLAND closes relatively early--7 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. on weekends during our visit--so having a playground, movies, and staff entertainment afterward was a big plus. Also check out the other LEGOLAND Hotel. It has a really cool indoor pirate ship play area that the kids enjoyed. Overall We had a fantastic three days. Staying at the hotel added to the experience, but the VIP Tour really took the trip to another level. The biggest shout-out goes to Renate. Our kids had an incredible time with her, and so did we. Years from now, when we talk about this LEGOLAND trip, I have a feeling our VIP experience with Renate will be one of the things we remember most. Thank you, Renate, for making our family trip that much more special!

My husband had just finished working six consecutive shifts at the fire department, and we were simply looking forward to a nice evening together. As we entered the parking lot, two men in a golf cart crossed in front of our vehicle. My husband honked, and there was later a brief verbal exchange about what had happened. There were no threats or physical confrontation from us, and we believed the matter was over. Later, while we were still seated at our dinner table, a woman we had never met approached us and began questioning us about the parking-lot interaction. She told us that she and her husband were club members, repeatedly referenced their membership, said she had never seen us there before, and told us she "didn't want any problems in the future." I cannot speak to what she intended, but the encounter made both of us feel intimidated, unwelcome, and extremely uncomfortable. We later learned that an Aviara Country Club member event was being held at the restaurant that evening. After dinner, we discovered that our vehicle had been extensively damaged while parked on the property. Carlsbad Police investigated, and surveillance footage from the property documented what occurred. An individual associated with the earlier parking-lot encounter became the alleged suspect during the investigation. Our vehicle ultimately sustained nearly $15,000 in repair costs. I am intentionally not identifying anyone or making any statement about guilt. I am simply describing what my husband and I experienced that evening. What has disappointed us most is Park Hyatt Aviara's response afterward. I personally contacted hotel management and was told that Hyatt was cooperating with police, which we appreciated. We were also told that someone from Aviara Golf Club management would contact us to discuss what happened. That call never came. I understand that a hotel cannot control the actions of every person on its property, and I am not assigning legal responsibility to Hyatt. My concern is how we were treated as guests after such a serious and disturbing experience. We experienced an uncomfortable confrontation during dinner, left to discover nearly $15,000 in damage to our vehicle, and had to involve law enforcement. Yet we never felt the level of concern, communication, or follow-through we expected from a five-star property. That is what has been most disappointing. We chose Park Hyatt Aviara because we expected exceptional hospitality and guest care consistent with the Park Hyatt name. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable, unsupported, and profoundly disappointed. I sincerely hope Park Hyatt Aviara considers how guests are cared for when something goes seriously wrong during their visit.
