Our stay at the legoland resort
    Jalixa M.

It is me qnd my family's first time staying at the legoland resort. This was by far one of the best hotels experience i have had when it comes to committing to the theme. From the moment we entered we were immersed into legoland. There are legos everywhere! And so many things for the kids to do within the hotel that I had to convince my kids to leave in order for us to go to the amusement park because they were having so much fun inside the hotel. To my surprise there was a treasure chest in our room where the kids had to answer 3 questions in order to recieve the combination to unlock the chest. Once it was unlocked there were juice boxes, legos, crayons and coloring pages and lots of little nick packs that just made the experience so much better. The elevator ride was one of the best parts. We were surprised when the lights when on and the music started playing. It was so much fun! I can't wait to come again next year for my sons birthday again. I think this will become a tradition for us.

We are staying in a ninjago themed room. It is super cool! It's clean and comfortable. The entire room is themed floor to ceiling; even the soap looks like a Lego. The kids received a small scavenger hunt to do in the room in order to get a code and open the safe which had Lego magazines and a small Lego set for each kid. There are several activities to do throughout the day at the hotel. The elevator has lights and music when you're riding to your floor which is fun!

Confirmation from the worst managed hotel in the world.

Despite having the confirmations for the 2 rooms I booked for 10/30-11/1, my ID, the credit card that paid for the rooms, copies of passports of every guest in both rooms, I was denied a key for my room and had to sleep in my car in the parking lot the first night of our stay. The desk mixed up keys, and would not provide me the correct key to my room. I was in 427, and they would only give me a key to 426 where other people were already occupying the room - this was at 2:00 am after a delayed flight. Worst customer service experience ever. No response from LL to any of my concerns and the manager hid from me the next morning. Stay somewhere else.

The employees were beyond nice and my daughter had the time of her life!

The employees were beyond nice and my daughter had the time of her life! She especially loved the pirate pajama dance party before bed :)

Hotel was clean and well kept. Vibrant colors throughout with the pirate theme. Kids loved all the activities. (Pajama dance party. Story telling and etc). Treasure hunt in the rooms (bonus legos). The pool has swimming life vests and lifeguards available when open (limited hours). The room had plenty of room. Extra towels readily available. Comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of hot water. No complaints at all.

Complimentary breakfast. Also included coffee juices, fresh fruits, oatmeal, and much more.

We stayed at the Legoland Pirate Island Hotel and LOVED it! So much fun for the whole family! And just a few steps away from the Legoland theme park entrance! Not only do the offer complimentary breakfast at the Shipwreck Restaurant but they have activities all day for kids! Also, two pools (one even has a water slide!) and play areas for kids all over the ground level of the hotel. Rooms include a king size bed, bunk beds for kids, and a stowaway drawer bed. There's a scavenger hunt for the kids which code unlocks a chest of treasure and treats! (My kids really enjoyed this!). Keurig machine and mini fridge in room too. The employees are all so sweet and so awesome, which made the stay even better!! My kids have been asking to go back everyday since the day we left. We will be back!!

Know your audience and your package details when and if going here. Communication between park staff and hotel staff is very poor and details about what is included in an "all inclusive" package or an upgraded room package ie "Lego Room Treasure Hunt" - is made about as clear as mud as they rush through the check in process. Sebastian the bellmen was amazing- as was James one of the Valets I saw often at the resort. Annette (at least I think that is what her name tag said) in the"Help Build the World" - find your Play-style was a highlight as well. Other than this most of the staff experiences on far too many of the rides and throughout the park made it clear to us that they were at work - they were not having fun - and they wished they were somewhere else. Overall experience of the entire stay for us is that this is a "once in a lifetime" experience - and it's a one and done for us. No need to come back. I will rate the restaurants separately if I am able but will say the best selection is the Pirate themed restaurant according to our experience.

Drinks included chocolate milk, almond milk, regular milk, apple juice; OJ, coffee, as well as some flavored juices. It was a decent selection and everyone ate well. For the price, it was cheaper and had a FAR BETTER breakfast than Best Western which is a newer hotel. Best western's breakfast was not served hot and they dilute their orange juice heavily so it doesn't even taste like OJ. Limited selection. The only Downside of this place is the A/C. Temperature in the room wasn't consistent, so it either got too cold or too hot before A/C kicked on. Bed was comfy with firm and soft pillows.

It had a sidewalk that goes around the entire property so it's nice for a morning jog before the kids wake up. The pool is fun and my kids enjoyed staying here. The breakfast was good and all the staff is very accommodating. Overall, the room was clean, however our room in particular had a really bad odor and when I called, maintenance arrived and said they didn't notice anything wrong. Also housekeeping came and cleaned the area that I said I thought the smell was coming from. No other investigation was conducted and the problem seemed to be downplayed by staff. They were not able to move our room because all the rooms were booked up. I ended up going to Publix to buy my own cleaning supplies and air fresheners, but nothing seemed to help. I was disappointed because I really wanted this trip to be relaxing and not always in the go, but we really didn't want to hang out in our room due to the smell. I'm looking forward to going home. :/

It is the most economical one from the three Lego hotels but it is also on the other side of the park. There's a shuttle driving guests there and bringing them back but only until an hour after park closing. Since I usually like to enjoy dinner and activities at the main hotel, I always take the care as parking is included. The Beach Retreat is very charming but it is not really a full service hotel. You have to take your owns bags, and there is no water or body lotion in the room. You can text a number and request certain things but I'd rather come prepared. The rooms are in a cute little house that are Lego themed and include free Legos. There's also a nice pool with s'mores. All in all, it is a lot quieter than the main hotel and has less activities. So it depends on your personal preference which hotel to pick.

Our room had a king bed, a round table with 2 chairs, a very long counter under the TV with 2 stools, and a small sectional sofa. While the bed was very comfortable, the seating options were not. The sectional had a pull-out bed. The king bedside nightstands each had ceiling- hung lights, 2 outlets, and 2 USB ports. All worked, but outlets showed signs of getting loose. We appreciated that there was excellent lighting in the room and bathroom. The bathroom light had a motion detection feature that might be a problem for those who awaken during the night to use the bathroom. It's like a wake up call. We didn't see an easy way to disable this. We liked the perimeter-lit mirror and walk-in shower. The shower floor seemed slippery at first but was fine once wet. Breakfast was just so-so. Within a walled-off space there were hot options of eggs, sausage patties, and seasoned potatoes, plus a yogurt machine, pancake maker, juice machine, and coffee machines. No waffle machine, though. Within the eating area, there was a Bunn coffee brewer for single cups. Internet was acceptable, with no major glitches in our room.
