Marriott properties seem to have a rather common problem. They have at many properties deleted premium channels, switched providers and "offered" WiFi tv connections. Frequent properties can't keep them up and running. Here is no different. First we were told a truck hit a pole, then there was a power failure, then they had a system crash and days later "they are coming to fix it tomorrow". This or the perpetual spinning wheel as it attempts to buffer is not uncommon. So if it doesn't work when you are here, you can add to the excuse list.

    Crumbs and stain on carpet.

This hotel was an extremely welcome site after visiting several of the motels close to Legoland to see how they looked.

They had eggs, sausage, bacon, grits, pancake, oatmeal, Greek yogurt, pudding, fresh fruit such as bluebwrries, pineapple, apples, bananas, oranges and watermelon. They also has sides of jalapeños, salsa, shredded cheese, cream cheese for your eggs and stuff. They have the croissants, bagels and toast/muffins. Drinks included chocolate milk, almond milk, regular milk, apple juice; OJ, coffee, as well as some flavored juices. It was a decent selection and everyone ate well. For the price, it was cheaper and had a FAR BETTER breakfast than Best Western which is a newer hotel. Best western's breakfast was not served hot and they dilute their orange juice heavily so it doesn't even taste like OJ. Limited selection. The only Downside of this place is the A/C. Temperature in the room wasn't consistent, so it either got too cold or too hot before A/C kicked on. Bed was comfy with firm and soft pillows.

They would not accommodate us with a room because they were closing out their day. When I cancelled the reservation, they still charged me for a full night stay and would not make an exception, So remember, when you make a reservation with this hotel, you must cancel 24 hours in advance or they will take your money. The GM would not even talk to me, only text. I will never stay at another holiday inn.

It had a sidewalk that goes around the entire property so it's nice for a morning jog before the kids wake up. The pool is fun and my kids enjoyed staying here. The breakfast was good and all the staff is very accommodating. Overall, the room was clean, however our room in particular had a really bad odor and when I called, maintenance arrived and said they didn't notice anything wrong. Also housekeeping came and cleaned the area that I said I thought the smell was coming from. No other investigation was conducted and the problem seemed to be downplayed by staff. They were not able to move our room because all the rooms were booked up. I ended up going to Publix to buy my own cleaning supplies and air fresheners, but nothing seemed to help. I was disappointed because I really wanted this trip to be relaxing and not always in the go, but we really didn't want to hang out in our room due to the smell. I'm looking forward to going home. :/

It is the most economical one from the three Lego hotels but it is also on the other side of the park. There's a shuttle driving guests there and bringing them back but only until an hour after park closing. Since I usually like to enjoy dinner and activities at the main hotel, I always take the care as parking is included. The Beach Retreat is very charming but it is not really a full service hotel. You have to take your owns bags, and there is no water or body lotion in the room. You can text a number and request certain things but I'd rather come prepared. The rooms are in a cute little house that are Lego themed and include free Legos. There's also a nice pool with s'mores. All in all, it is a lot quieter than the main hotel and has less activities. So it depends on your personal preference which hotel to pick.

Our room had a king bed, a round table with 2 chairs, a very long counter under the TV with 2 stools, and a small sectional sofa. While the bed was very comfortable, the seating options were not. The sectional had a pull-out bed. The king bedside nightstands each had ceiling- hung lights, 2 outlets, and 2 USB ports. All worked, but outlets showed signs of getting loose. We appreciated that there was excellent lighting in the room and bathroom. The bathroom light had a motion detection feature that might be a problem for those who awaken during the night to use the bathroom. It's like a wake up call. We didn't see an easy way to disable this. We liked the perimeter-lit mirror and walk-in shower. The shower floor seemed slippery at first but was fine once wet. Breakfast was just so-so. Within a walled-off space there were hot options of eggs, sausage patties, and seasoned potatoes, plus a yogurt machine, pancake maker, juice machine, and coffee machines. No waffle machine, though. Within the eating area, there was a Bunn coffee brewer for single cups. Internet was acceptable, with no major glitches in our room. This newer hotel could be an excellent value for a family visiting a nearby theme park. We enjoyed our one-night stay.

After arriving and finding some kind of feces on our sheets and a smoky hallway of marijuana, we desperately tried to find another hotel and we it was booked everywhere. We almost drove to orlando. There was mold on the bagels, when I told the attendant, she said for ME to go a throw away the rest. The maple syrup was spoiled and muffins were expired. Front desk staff was nice and efficient, but that does not make up for everything else the hotel was lacking. Our room was unpleasant, to say the least. The humidity in the room was almost unbearable, and everything was moist to the touch. Tiled flooring made traversing the room hazardous as it was wet and slippery, due to the condensation in the room. The beds were uncomfortable. The bathroom was reminiscent of a truck stop restroom. We did not feel comfortable using it at all. Overall, unpleasant. We would not choose to stay here again.
