Usually I've seen "day old" discounted items, but I love that they give a discount the day of! The spinach-feta pastries were a favorite of mine, as well as, the sourdough bread. My family devoured the other items before I could try any of them so I'm gonna assume they were amazing lol. It's a small quaint place with great big customer service. This place serves up some of the best bánh mì in town! No competition. In my opinion, a great bánh mì comes down to three things: the bread, the pate (spread), and the meat. So let's break it down. The bread: Soft and flaky with just the right amount of crunch. It honestly reminds me of the motherland. Whenever I bite into a bánh mì and the bread is hard and overly crunchy, it usually tells me it's dry. Not here. The bread is fresh, flaky, and just melts with every bite. The pate: Homemade! Not something premade from some random store. It's flavorful, rich, and not overly salty. Exactly how it should be. Lastly, THE MEAT! Do you see that picture?! It's STUFFED. No empty real estate in sight! Every bite is packed with meat. And all of that for $6.95?! This is highway robbery in the best way possible! If you're craving some bánh mì after watching Spider-Man, swing on by. They've only been in business for a little over a year, but I have a feeling they're going to become a local favorite for many people, just like they have for me this past week. For the quality, portion, and price, 5/5!

The moment you walk in,…read moreyou're greeted with an overwhelming variety of breads, pastries, and cakes--there's truly something for everyone. The selection is massive, and everything looks fresh and inviting. We tried their tres leches cake and caramel pudding cake, and both were absolutely delicious. The tres leches was moist and rich without being overly sweet, and the caramel pudding cake had a silky texture with just the right amount of sweetness. We also sampled a few other baked goods, and everything we tried was solid--clearly made with care. One thing that could improve the experience for first-time visitors is labeling. None of the items are named or described, so unless you're already familiar with traditional Mexican pastries, it can be a bit of a guessing game. It would be really helpful if they labeled each item or provided a menu guide. That said, if you're open to a little adventure--or already know your conchas from your cuernitos--this place is definitely worth visiting. I'll be back to try even more from their incredible selection.

Alicia's Bakery - Where Authentic Mexican Flavor Meets Utah Tradition…read more Alicia's Bakery has long been a local favorite, and for good reason. Having visited since their earlier location years ago, I've watched this bakery grow while never losing the heart of what makes it special -- truly authentic Mexican pastries made with care and flavor that stand above the rest. From their soft, sweet breads to their rich cakes and perfectly balanced pastries, every item reflects craftsmanship and tradition. Simply put, Alicia's Bakery delivers some of the best-tasting Mexican baked goods you'll find anywhere in Utah. I've visited many other Hispanic bakeries, yet few come close to matching their consistency, freshness, and depth of flavor. Because of its well-earned popularity, I recommend stopping by early in the morning to enjoy the best selection before it sells out. The only suggestion I'd make is for the new location to open the second register more often during busy hours -- it would make the customer experience even smoother. Overall, Alicia's Bakery continues to impress year after year. It's a warm, welcoming place that blends community, culture, and flavor into every bite. A must-visit for anyone seeking a true taste of Mexico right here in Utah.

I came here for the first time a couple days ago, and feel this is one of, if not the best Mexican bakery in town! If you aren't familiar with "Panaderia's" let me help educate you quickly. It's VERY different than what we know as bakeries. Mexican sweets are very bread based and a lot less sweet than their US counterparts. This however in no way means they are any less good. For example, a simple Mexican donut with some chocolate frosting on top allows you to enjoy the experience of the delicious donut bread, rather than that flavor being covered up by glaze and overly sugary dough. I'd consider the donuts here to be some of the best in town We ended up getting a good amount of treats and I was kinda shocked when the cashier told me it was only $11. It was a great price for everything we got The new building is also really pretty and SUPER spacious. I'll definetly be coming back here soon

After the Canyon Rim French bakery closed its doors, we're scrambling a bit because you need a French bakery and I damn sure need me a French bakery. For this particular visit, I was needing something akin to a chocolate croissant for a planned video shoot. While I didn't find what I had in mind, per se, and was not sufficiently motivated to try to make one myself, I did go with a few different options here. Staff was entirely lovely and I would happily return just for that, but as for what I got...the story here is that the chocolate is of the sweeter variety. I much prefer the better balance of darker chocolate, but the actual pastry itself was lovely. I quite liked what they did there as well as being able to walk in and see loads and loads of glass-fronted shelves, most of which are laden with various sumptuous items. I had to restrain myself a bit, I must say, but there is no shortage of goodies to find here. Definitely well-pleased with the visit, despite the chocolate being overly sweet for my tastes, and looking forward to the next exploration, for sure.
