I decided to take my chances and give my neighborhood barber a try. Knowing they opened at 9 am, I stopped by at 9:45. The door was still locked and the closed sign was still prominently hanging. This will be the only negative thing I say about this shop. I wasn't in a hurry, so I thought I'd just stop back by later. Around lunch time I went back by and found the door open and the barber's pole spinning. As I walked in, I told the berber what I needed done and asked if they took cards. He told me that they only took cash or checks, but I could just come back later and pay him. He gave me the exact cut I asked for and we had good conversation. As I got up, he told me the ridiculously low price. I offered to leave my wallet while I went to grab cash, but he declined. He trusted that I'd come back soon and pay him. I did, by the way.
