I had such a great experience with Birttney!! Her shop is extremely clean.. her personality is so easy to get along with. Today was my first time visiting a place other than Great Clips in over 6 years. I decided to check on yelp to see the best place for a man to get a cut. Let me say that Brittany did not disappoint. She was on time (big for me as I'm a stickler for people keeping appointments) and ready to go. She was attentive and taught me more about my own hair in an hour than I knew my entire life. She took her time explaining what she was doing and her thought process behind it. I left feeling comfortable and confident. I will not be seeing anyone else but her going forward. If you're looking for a great cut and a good convo, Brittany will not disappoint. read more

My hair looks great again!!!! Brittney is fantastic and I highly recommend! Brittney also gave me some pointers on how to blow dry my hair to give it more volume which I plan on trying. read more

Brittany has been doing my hair for a couple years now and I'm just getting around to leaving a review. She has perfected her craft and the unique experience she provides of her own private salon keeps me coming back. Consistency is key in my book and Brittany delivers every time. Throughout the pandemic she communicated with her customers and even helped talk my wife through giving me a haircut at home when she couldn't be open. Her service is unmatched. read more

Highly recommended. Brittney listens. She takes notes on the way you like your hair cut and remembers. She makes great suggestions too. Appointments are made online--very convenient and easy. Do yourself a favor and go see her. read more

I have been through many disappointments at many different salons here in Birmingham. I can finally say that I found my Go To hair stylist here at Steel 110! Go see Hayley she is very sweet and personable. Show her a picture of the style you are trying to achieve and she will work for you. She's very easy going so you will leave feeling satisfied! The ambiance is private and don't have to fuss with crowds of people waiting. They book online appointments and also via mobile. They also serve beer too! Thanks haylee -Sang read more

I have absolutely nothing bad to say. After going to different places around town. Steel 110 is the best around. Great atmosphere as well as overall great experience. Haircut tailored to what you want, notes taken so you can change the next time or keep it the same. read more

Searching Yelp for a new place to get a Men's haircut? Congratulations! You can stop your search now, because I guarantee that if you give Brittney at Steel 110 a try, you'll become a regular. After struggling with several stylists at many high end salons in town, I literally drive 30 minutes out of my way just to get my haircut with her because in comparatively dealing with alternatives it's just worth it. Steel 110 is a charming, but small single chair salon at Salon Studios out by the Galleria owned by Brittney. When you come in you are offered a beverage -- including wine or beer! -- and there's a television where you can watch sports, episodes of some show off Netflix, the News, or whatever. Because of its size it gives a feeling that she is there for you and only you, unlike larger salons where stylists disappear, get distracted with coworkers, whatever. Brittney is an expert in her field: she is knowledgeable of current trends in men's hair styles, as well as execution of classic stylings. She can take a picture you bring to her and make it work. But most importantly: she's going to steer you in the direction. She understands that each individual has different types of hair, facial structure, and other characteristics that makes a hair style that may look good on others look terrible on you. Brittney will work with what you desire to make it look best on you as an individual rather than just replicating the same hairstyle for every client, and can even offer suggestions as to what she thinks would look great on you. Some men might be turned off by the price, but I think $30 ($25 for first time) is TOTALLY reasonable given the service you're provided. After moving back from California where I routinely went to a much more expensive salon, I struggled to find someone who could meet the same standards. She does a great job at providing excellent service, knowledge, and execution, which is really what you're paying for. Could you find a less expensive place? Yes: but I highly doubt the quality would be anything like what Steel 110 can provide. Booking could not be easier with her online system through Facebook and her website. So do yourself a favor and book online or over the phone with her for the $25 first time consultation and haircut! read more

I've always been a barber guy and this was my first experience with a salon and it was great. Brittney was awesome and was really helpful with helping me figure out what I wanted and giving me tips and stuff. I will definitely be back soon. read more

I am comfortable being there, Brittany is easy to talk to and does consistent work. She works great with my boys as well.

Talent beyond! We have been referring clients to Brittany for quite some time now as she is amazing with my son's hair. He has hard to cut hair and she was patient with teaching his techniques to assist him with getting his hair to look "just right" daily. Thanks Brittany! You have a fan/customer for life! read more

Excellent spot for men's hair styling. Expert and friendly service. A nice feature is their on line appointment scheduling app. New location is easy to get to and centrally located. Great quality of cut, complimentary beverage selections and nice hot towel treatment. It's all good. Now that I've been going here for more than a year, it is still the best I've found. Always consistently excellent. Can't go wrong. read more

Brittany does an amazing job. She has taught me how to properly style my hair and how to control my six cow licks. This may seem simple to most but amazing to me and worth the money. She gives it her all when she cuts your hair, I assure you! read more

Best haircut I've ever had. She is very nice and gives great advice. Scheduling is very flexible.

Been getting my haircut by the same woman my entire life. When I moved to Birmingham I had to find someone new. I found Brittney and couldn't be happier! She's professional and does a great job every time. I would highly recommend! read more

I've been in Birmingham for two years now and this is the best place I've seen. I'm Asian and have thick straight hair that seem to have a life of its own. Brittney did a fantastic job cutting and styling my hair. She tailors your cut to what best suits you and will constantly ask your opinion with each decision she's making. This shows her genuine interest in giving the best haircut and styling to her clients. She takes her time in personalizing your cut so you never feel rushed at all. She washes and massages your hair while you're enjoying a eucalyptus scented hot facial towel. Her place is super clean and well-designed. She even offers free drinks and whatever show you want to watch on TV. Every hair salon should be like hers. I wish I had found her sooner. I will definitely be coming back. read more

Brittney is extremely professional and straight forward. She's helpful in not only finding a look that works for you and your hair but one you can maintain. She never rushes her work which makes her quality of work second to none. My problem with everywhere else I went prior, I hated that my routine haircut lacked consistency and seemed to be a little different each time. Fortunately, Brittney is as consistent as can be so there is no re-learning your haircut after your routine visit. If you want to experience a real haircut and consistent, professional quality I would recommend coming here. read more

The Yelp Gods have smiled upon me. It's hard to go somewhere new and get a great haircut right off the bat so I was scouring yelp trying to find that perfect balance between quality and affordability. I stumbled upon the Steel 110 review and am happy I did. It's located right off 31 but it wasn't that easy to find. Anyhow, the space is small but inviting. You could call it cozy. Brittney is the consummate professional. She was attentive and took her time. The cut, the shampoo, and hot towel were all great. I've already booked her for 2 more appointments. read more

This place is AMAZING! The owner is extremely down to earth and accommodating. I called couple of hours before I walked in and was extremely welcoming. I have been trying to find a decent place for the last 10 years, and finally, I have found steel 110!! I'm an Indian male and I have a weird hairstyle. Britney completely changed my appearance in a positive way. If anyone wants an awesome looking hairstyle PLEASE go to this place. I usually don't write reviews, but I cannot pass this one up. From now on I'm gonna go this place every 4 weeks for my haircut. Britney spends 1 HOUR per customer making sure that they are completely satisfied with their hairstyle. So please do yourself a favor and visit steel 110. You WON'T regret it!!! read more

Brittney is THE BEST. Don't be fooled by high end stores with their high end, over priced salons. Steel 110 does men's hair -- done right. End of story. Brittney is attentive and pays careful attention to the needs of her clients, and ultimately is concerned with their satisfaction. GREAT haircuts at very good prices. Worth every dollar (and it's not that many of them). read more

I've been going to Britanny for over a year and a half and I love the consistency of how she cuts my hair. She has my hair stats in her system and reviews her notes before each appointment. Brittany is serious about her work and I and my wife appreciate the results. read more

I have been going to Brittany for about 6 or 7 months now. She does an amazing job every time and really takes the time to learn what her clients want so that she can give you a great cut every time. She works hard to make sure your hair not only looks good when you get up from her chair but that you are able to get a consistently good look and style every day. I can't say enough good things about her service and attention to detail. read more

If you don't care about your hair and would readily use a flowbee if you could find one, you should go to one of the "clips" salons/shops. If you do care about your hair, you need Brittney. She cares. She helps guide your hair decisions. She will not recommend anything that makes you look bad. I am so relieved to have finally, FINALLY, found someone who knows how to cut men's hair and actually cares. I've tried many, MANY, different barbers/stylists and I can say this one is unicorn. Please don't ever stop caring Brittney - you do amazing work. The world needs you and more people like you. Tip her bigly, please. read more

Britney is really exceptional when it comes to her skills. She knows exactly how I want my hair to be cut after I briefly discussed my concern with her 6 months ago. I am from New York City and I have to admit that I was nervous about getting my first haircut in Alabama 6 months ago. Not to mention I am East Asian and my hair type is a kind of funny. The good thing is that Britney knows how to deal with my hair; and I come to her hair studio every 3 to 4 weeks just to have my hair cut by her. read more

Brittney is AWESOME. She gave my fiancé the best cut he's ever had. Didn't know he was that handsome! She cut for his face and style and taught us how to style it everyday. She has a tv and beers/soda complimentary. She's located inside phenix salon suites. We found his new stylist forever! Thank you Brittney! read more
