The barbershop is clean, inviting, and has a great vibe. There's very little wait time, the chairs are super comfortable, and the magazines are up to date. They even have small games available for customers to enjoy while they wait. In the heat of summer, the shop stays cool and comfortable, and in the cold of winter, it's warm and cozy. All the barbers are friendly, and the steady stream of regular customers says a lot about the quality of their work. Parking has never been an issue either, and they have handicapped parking available. Our barber, Raven Baker, is absolutely top-notch--both highly skilled and incredibly attentive. The haircuts she gave us were exactly what my brother Tim and I wanted. But beyond being a great barber, Raven is also wonderfully personable. I specifically looked for a small, local shop with a badass vibe that would take care of my young guys. I made reservations several days ahead and we made an event out of it. We went to lunch, we checked out the tattoo shops. We came by 20 mins early. The shop was closed. No one ever came by. And 10 minutes before each of our appointments I got a txt that our reservations were cancelled by Fade Parlor. No note. No apology. Nothing. My guys were so excited. Now guess what they think about small local tattoo/barber shop businesses? Fade Parlor, you fkd up today. Walk-ins are available but they prefer appointments which can be done online. The convenience of that and being able to pick my barber, Rhegess, was a perk. The shop is located on 3rd Ave so there were many spots for street parking. When I got there, I was immediately taken care of. Rhegess did a great job at giving me the fade I wanted as we had a great time chatting about school and life. He took his time with my hair which I appreciated greatly as I have been with barbers who have not. For the rest of my time in Birmingham, I will continue to visit Trim and I encourage you to do the same!
