This shady company does not stand behind their work. We had to replace virtually everything in the house from electrical outlets to a leaking roof. Go with other builders even if you have to spend more money. I can't comprehend how they have an A+ rating with the BBB when almost every customer review is horrible!! read more

Legacy actually did the right thing and replaced some of the concrete in my garage (pictured) however during that process it was made very clear what the issue was. The ground under my garaged completely sunk (pictured) and they elected to leave it that way!!! Wasting time in court is in their future. read more

I had legacy homes build a house nine years ago in Lincoln. Yeah price per square foot seems decent for new construction , but I'm starting to realize why . Some fascia blew off over the years. But the biggest problem now is every winter for the past five years when my furnace runs I hear a very loud popping , banging, noise in the kitchen ceiling so much for the one year warranty. I'm guessing someone forgot some glue or forgot to attach the ductwork. If someone manages your build , they should make sure to check the work and higher good contractors and not subpar subcontractors. I would not recommend them. Jon renoe read more

Update 5/20/24: Since writing this review and one on the BBB, Legacy reached out to me. Nothing fixed yet. We will see what happens. Legacy does NOT stand behind their work. We have been in our home for 2 years. They give you a 1 year warranty then a 10 year extended warranty on structural. At 2 years the stone veneer is falling off - I DON'T mean 1 or 2 rocks. I mean the whole rock veneer wall is pulling off the foundation and Legacy won't do anything about it. It is obviously a workmanship issue. Stone veneer should NOT be pulling off the foundation. It was NOT properly fastened to the foundation. Legacy just says "call the extended warranty", well they won't do anything about it either because it is not structural. This isn't some little thing like caulking in the shower or kitchen, this is thousands of dollars to replace. Thanks Legacy for NOT standing behind your work! read more

Updates and updates, none of them good. In my previous review I mentioned that the general consensus from Legacy homeowners is that responsiveness and dedication from the Legacy warranty department is nonexistent. In other words, virtually every single fellow resident in my Legacy neighborhood that I have spoken to believes the Legacy warranty department sucks. I would say the warranty department is about as accessible, responsive, and transparent as the North Korean government. Prove me wrong. Over 5 weeks ago, on June 17, relatively mild 20-25 mph winds ripped some optional/upgraded architectural "shake" siding loose from my house (see my photos). I reached out to the warranty department that day, and a couple times a week over the past 5+ weeks, with photos and explained that they needed to replace it anyway since it had been identified as far back as December 2020 (60 post-closing warranty inspection) as being warped and inferior. After 3 phone calls and a ton of emails to Legacy, including photos of the damage, 5+ weeks have come and gone and nothing has been done. In fact, the Legacy warranty department has not even given me the courtesy of telling me that they have ordered replacement material, or when it might get repaired/replaced. They have given me nothing. This is on top of all the other warranty work that was identified a couple months ago and back in December 2020 and more in May 2021. I was warned early on by a neighbor about inferior sub-floor work and squeaky wood floors. Sure enough, virtually every square foot of my (engineered) wood floor in the kitchen snaps, crackles, and pops so much it sounds like I'm eating Rice Krispies and walking on bubble wrap at the same time. I was warned and sure enough, my kitchen floor - all of it - sounds HORRIBLE! I was also warned the warranty repairs to "fix" the squeaky wood flooring is kinda of ghetto...we shall see. We all knew that Legacy was in trouble with the departure of one of their owners as well as a lot of their best employees either being fired or quitting (Abby, Bob, Oscar, Merlin, and more). Now it's my understanding that Legacy had to sell to another business in town in order to avoid going out of business. In a housing economy that's booming, there's no excuse for this...it indicates horrible leadership and management, which is also evidenced by the lousy warranty department responsiveness, shoddy construction quality (you just ask 10/20/30 random homeowners in my neighborhood), cutting corners to save a buck, and disregard for who they claim to be. There's no telling what that means for the future of warranty work that should be covered by Legacy, but I can assure you Legacy's reputation among homeowners in my neighborhood is in the crapper, and it's going to take a lot of work by the new ownership/management to regain all the trust that's been damaged and lost. Again, don't take my word for it; ask 10 or 12 random homeowners how they feel about the quality of their home and the quality of the warranty department. As I have always said in my reviews (including the Legacy design center reviews on Google Maps), if anything I have said is factually false then I welcome a response from Legacy to set the record straight. I would also love a freaking response from Legacy, as would every other homeowner in the neighborhood, from the warranty department to get crap fixed. As for every claim I have made about Legacy here on Yelp and in my Google review, I have photos and videos and emails to back up everything. After 4 weeks of no action, no updates, no communication from Legacy following the damage to my siding (that's still flapping in the wind for everyone who walks or drives by to see), I printed 27 pages of emails to Legacy about this and dropped it off on 7/17/2021 for management to read...let's see if they respond and make things right. If not, I'll update every review I've left and continue to publicize the facts about Legacy. read more

We started looking at building a new home about a year or so before pulling the trigger. We met with several builders and decided on Legacy Homes and built in Omaha. Now that we've been in our home for nearly 60 days I thought I'd give a review. Every aspect of the process has been great. Abby who we dealt with when we picked our lot, decided on the design etc... was FANTASTIC. The ladies at the design studio were FANTASTIC and the builder Bob was FANTASTIC. All in all every aspect up till this point has been great. When problems (small issues) came up during the building process they were immediately addressed. After we moved in the few items we still needed done were immediately addressed. Like many new home areas there are a lot of issues such as mud, etc... on the streets. From what I've personally experienced Legacy does an excellent job keeping things tidy which can be difficult in this environment. As first time builders I am extremely happy that we chose our community, and house, and legacy as the builder. One thing I'll point out is to make sure that you 100% review the contract since you can't make changes during building. This is due to the cost involved with making changes along the way but as long as you review your design you won't have any issues. Phase 3 at River Oaks is starting soon so if you're considering building a new home come be our neighbor :-) read more

I love my home with Legacy, I've been in my home 3 years and have had few concerns. Any concerns were addressed in a timely and professional manner. New is not perfect and as a homeowner you do have to maintain all parts of the home on a regular basis. They do have an A+ BBB rating. I'd recommend Legacy Homes to everyone! read more

Poor customer service. For the amount of money spent on building a house you figure they would stand behind their work. Had to resurface the driveway after three years because their team used inferior mix and was told by Thrasher it was done super cheap and unethically. I suggest finding ANY other builder. read more
