Later, he sold it to a Doctor Friend who resided there when she would serve as a civil war hospital. Sold again, yet to another doctor, Dr. Thomas Cheatham, the house grew again to form a “T” shaped structure. After his death, the home would fall into severe disrepair only to be restored in the 1930s and named Wrexham. The Hague family lived there and maintained what became a “mansion” in the 1960s when it was added to once again. The new addition begged for an upgraded name, which is the now, Wrexham Hall. Sold to Judge Gates in the 1970s, he would sell it and have it moved to its current location. The last addition was made by the Brennan family, an event room that would serve many for years to come. The all-inclusive option was great for us, trying to plan our wedding in just a few months, and truly helped SO much with not having to worry or stress about anything! The venue itself is stunning with beautiful outdoor spaces, patios, and indoor areas as well as two spacious suites to get ready in. The venue itself offers a lot of flexibility in areas to have your ceremony! We chose to be outside for the ceremony, on the patio for our cocktail hour and send-off, and indoors for eating and dancing! We loved getting to use every part of this beautiful venue! From the moment we booked, Tracy (our wedding coordinator) went above and beyond for us! She offered thoughtful advice, helpful recommendations, and always responded quickly, no matter how small the question. She met with us multiple times throughout the planning process and really took the time to get to know us as a couple and to understand our vision for our day. On the wedding day, Tracy was incredible! She coordinated every moving part seamlessly, kept us calm, and made sure the entire day flowed perfectly. By the end of the night she became like family and was passing out cake, making sure guests had everything they needed, and even made an appearance on the dance floor with us! We could not have done any of this without her! After the wedding, everything was already packed and organized for us to pick up the next day! We chose to upgrade a few items in the package and were not disappointed! The photobooth was absolutely amazing and highly recommended with a backdrop and props for us and guests to enjoy! We even got a flashdrive with all of the pictures taken throughout the night! We had wonderful service from the house manager and didn't have any issues at all. There is a photography business located on the premises if you are celebrating a special occasion. When we stayed, there was a bride and groom outside of the house having a photo shoot. They can be booked for weddings and occasionally have events at the house that you can register for.

Crab &Swiss cheese omelette, roasted Yukon potato, turkey bacon, country sausage, the bread basket had lavish varieties and customed as well towards my girl who has celiac disease with gluten free options, Room tempered butter, I think even the raspberry marmalade was homemade, fresh berries...I mean nothing was missing and it was put together with such care. Since we were the first of the season...David was able to join us. What a great morning we had thanks to him...thank you so very much!! A must see venue, that is highly recommended!

Marriott should be ashamed of this property. We have been going here a few times a year for some…read moreten years or so, and I've come to the conclusion that I am the proverbial frog in the pot of water that is slowly brought to boiling...the hotel has been steadily going downhill, a little at a time, and I've finally realized that the gravity of it is really too much at this point. I think that part of the problem is that they have a number of long-stay residents, as I've learned from talking to fellow guests. Yes, I know that Residence Inn is generally targeted for longer hotel stays, but these are people staying months at a time for a temporary job. There is nothing inherently wrong with those types of guests, but it leads to a downgrade in level of service from that of a hotel to that of an apartment building. Also, as a pet-friendly hotel, the hotel has turned into a de facto unattended kennel during the day. While their owners are at work, or vacation travelers go to places where dogs are not welcome, the dogs are left alone in rooms all day, barking and whining...all...day...long. And once one starts, they all start. The constant din is really unbearable during the day. In the last year or so, signs have gone up around the hotel about Quiet Hours being from 10:00pm to 8:00am. The fact that the hotel management felt it necessary to put those signs up portends the type of behavior that you can expect from some of their current clientele. Garbage cans/piles sitting outside rooms will be there all day long. The walls in the hallways are all marked up. The internet was squirrelly and, according to the staff, it has been that way for over a month due to a power outage. On our most recent visit, we were in our room for less than an hour when the door pops open with another guest walking in that had been assigned the same room...assigned by the same person at the front desk that assigned us that room. When we queried the lady at the front desk about it later, she said that's been happening since the power outage a month or so ago. The lack of concern on the part of the lady at the front desk was alarming. And then when we went back to our room, our keys no longer worked. It's really a shame. It is a great location, right on the strip. Many of the staff are friendly and trying to do their jobs, and the complimentary breakfast is pretty good. However, this hotel is not operating anywhere NEAR the Marriott level, and it is damaging the Marriott brand.
