Steven was great; he was personable, and went out of his way to find all of the GFCIs and checked to make sure they were functioning properly and safely; the recessed light and indoor light switch were afterthoughts on my part, but he just went with it. Great service at a very reasonable price. Not only will I use them again, I'm considering them for a project that I've put on the back burner for years.

But going the other direction, some nicer houses. Several mannequins line the windows in a pleasing display of colors and patterns. Inside is relatively small, but orderly, with the space maximized with shelf displays and purses high up on the wall. Two large windows bring in natural light. The racks of clothing inside are shoppable, and not over stuffed. They are mostly all women's clothes, arranged by broad categories such as pants and t-shirts. The demographic skews a bit towards the stylish older woman: waterfall cardigans, Vera Bradley purses, comfortable shoes. Good condition clothes, from quality value brands like Uniqlo, to mid range department store brands like Style & Co, to some gems, like from Garnet Hill or Marmot. Prices might be a little more than Goodwill, but the clothes are in better condition than the Goodwill down the street on Mt Vernon road. The designs are also a nicer selection with some fashionable embroidery, cheerful prints, and perhaps a few items in better fabrics like cashmere. And even better when there's a 50% sale on select categories. The lady at the cashier is welcoming, and willing to engage in conversation. She allowed me to look through the corner section of unpriced items and offered to price some on the spot. There are three fitting rooms painted bright pink. The rule is to leave the garments in the fitting room after you try them on. The doors are unusually high though so I was hesitant to try on pants because I hadn't shaved my lower legs because yknow, winter. If you're thinking about consigning clothes to this shop, call ahead as it may be full and not accepting more as space is limited. I recommend checking out this thrift store. Even though maybe the location isn't the most inviting, the actual shopping experience was comfortable and pleasant.

We have been taken advantage of many times in the past, so we were already tense about the entire thing. We found RJ Howard Electric and gave them a call. They open very early in the morning (7:30am) which is nice for stressed out folks like us! We spoke with Rick and explained the situation. He was able to schedule an appointment for 4:00pm later that day. Rick showed up right on time, 4 o'clock on the DOT, and called my hubby for more information on what what happening in mom's home. He went downstairs and checked her circuit breaker and after less than five minutes of investigating he already knew the issue. It was the line outside on the pole, which is an AEP problem. Not only did he call AEP for my mother and arrange for them to fix the outage, but he provided us with the ticket number so we could track the progress. On top of all the good news, he also only charged us a minimal fee for his services. We were so relieved and appreciative and cannot say enough good things about this company. We have some electrical issues at our house that we have been putting off over fear of getting taken advantage of, but it's comforting to know we have a reliable, honest electrician to call now! Thank you, Rick!!

Buyer Beware... I hired Gibson's Residential Electrical Services, LLC to replace outdoor light…read morefixtures and fix a dead outdoor outlet. Thai, the owner, came to my home and gave me a quote. After multiple scheduling issues with him, he finally came and did the work. First, he replaced my post light. In doing so, he snapped a piece of the post in half and tried to hide it. When I asked him what happened to the post and how it got broken, he said that he wasn't aware of it. Then, when I told him that I viewed the video from my camera, it clearly shows him breaking it. Then, he admitted that he had lied, but never offered to make it right. I had to request the money to replace the piece. The light itself was installed backwards and missing a screw, so it does not sit properly. He unnecessarily drilled a hole in the light post itself. Again, after viewing the video, he clearly says there is a screw missing and leaves it that way crooked on the post. Finally, during the estimate he told me that for $75 he would fix the outside outlet. I paid him the $75 and he told me that he has no idea what's wrong with it, and can't get it to work but still expected payment as a troubleshooting fee, even though he couldn't troubleshoot it. I feel completely taken by this guy. He knew the reason I hired him was because my husband is battling cancer and currently going through chemo and cannot do this work himself. I feel that he took advantage. When I brought all of these issues up to him he did nothing to try to make it right, and would not even come back to fix the light. He basically told me that when I hired him for another job, he would come back and fix it. I would normally never make a post like this, but I truly feel like this guy is not a professional, and I hope no one else has the same experience I did. He offered no solutions when I brought the issues to his attention, took my money, and all he could say was I apologize after being caught in lies.
