Ppl walk there dogs without leash leaving them free to attack other dogs and people. Not to mention the dog park and surrounding areas covered in rotten dog poop. Don't let the clown like exterior fool you the place is a dump and not a safe environment for children. Drive by shootings are a normal way of life. Do yourself a favor and don't live here. Nicole made the moving day very easy and explain everything well. In addition, when I did my pre-move-in walk-through, the whole office was understanding and willing to fix any concerns and issues I had. In July, the girls were notified of an outstanding payment and assessed late fees. Several phone calls and one letter later and no one has reached out to tell them what this is for. Only that someone would get back to them as they are having "system issues". 3. At some point over the summer, maintenance crews entered the apartment to install new windows and moved all of the furniture in 5 rooms to the middle of each room. Nothing was put back. Girls came back to a mess. We were told this was a one-off, but every unit in the building had the same issue! 4. Also returned this weekend to the clothes washer not working. Put in ticket and someone was supposed to come today to fix it, but no showed. Tenants were without a working machine for two weeks! 5. They rarely answer the phone and when that does happen, its always "someone will get back to you". Only... they don't. 6. This week a new maintenance charge appeared on the account and again, the appropriate parties do not answer the phone. I could go on and on, but you get the picture.

He has done maintenance for me before and I appreciate his kindness and efficiency. He is a valued employee at Wayfare.

I read most of the old reviews of this place before we moved in and didn't take them seriously. Don't be fooled with the looks out here. It's actually kind of ghetto. From the apartment not being clean when we moved in, to maintenance telling us that we could fix things that were their job to fix, to the leasing office not taking safety issues on the property serious like the car break-ins that happened this year with burlington residents driving through the property all times of the night. Most neighbors were quiet and to themselves, couldn't tell when they came or left each day. But the one who DON'T WORK and sit at home all day trying to cause disturbances, they slammed the doors, stomped around all day, yelled and hollered had to concern for anybody they lived around in the building. Lived in a few apartments before here to know this is not a good property management team. They never followed up on maintenance calls to see if the work was done, never responded to safety issues, did not let residents know folks cars were being broken in to. Also when we found out that we were paying full rent and had neighbors who were under some program to pay low income based rent and they were able body people who CHOSE not to work but were the main disturbance in the building, we moved. Check the building out that you are supposed to move in. Go out there at night time and sit in the parking lot and see the activity in and around the building. That will tell you a lot before you move in.

First off, the people in this community. Too many people (young and mature) driving reckless in the parking lot speeding and being careless around children, mothers, and elders. Resident or guest, the safety of others seems to not be a priority for almost everyone. Drivers here have little to no patience when letting other drivers in or out the complex. Pedestrians are not being aware of their surroundings when walking onto the main road of the complex, especially some of the kids. Loud music is always blasted to a volume that is just simply insane and intolerable. Children and adults trashing the little yard that I have and others yard. Parking, especially on the weekends is terrible. No resident (main lease holder) should have to come home and either have nowhere to park or having to park further away from their building/complex. Marijuana/cigarette smell is prevailing, Im not one to tell anyone what to do, however, this was an issue for me because I don't smoke at all. Overall, judging off of other individuals actions in this community, there is lack of respect, care, and integrity. If you hold yourself to a standard and possess some of these traits, reconsider living here. Secondly management (Front Office). Joe and Stephanie was not the original staff when I first moved in June 2022, however I could be wrong. I didn't have much communication or contact with them in the beginning of my lease. When I started having maintenance problems after 4 or 5 months, I did of course. The communication with Joe was not bad, I just didn't get direct answers when I was asking questions about the process of the repairs and how long it was going to take. So I had to keep calling for updates, rather than him calling me. Stephanie in the beginning was nice and polite, at least it SOUNDED like she was, until I kept calling about the same issue, which was frustrating for us both because Im pretty sure no one wants to have the same conversation over and over about the same issue. I chose to stop calling and complaining about the issue when she became rude, and a bit careless. Third, MAINTENANCE workers. Around August 2022, A/C unit went out. After 3 to 4 different visits to diagnose the issue, I got the new A/C unit 6+months later. Fast forward to April 2024, the issue (Marijuana odor, drug odor slipping through vents and crevices of my apartment) I kept complaining about with Stephanie was getting wretched to the point where Im becoming really irritable and started question the staff and their rules/regulations. Im sleeping, with almost no clothing on, the maintenance worker came into the apartment, unannounced. He didn't knock hard or made his presence known. Sleeping or not, I thought that should be not only protocol to announce yourself, but also because you're entering someones home, respectfully. I made a phone call immediately to the office because of what was noticed. I then asked Stephanie about the visit maintenance worker made, while on the phone with her. The maintenance guy said he checked for the issue (which was not where I stated the issue was to Stephanie) and simply left. I started to question her about exactly what did he do. She got defensive. I was simply asking a question because I genuinely wanted to know what was done. Didn't communicate or asked me anything, I had to call them. I was a bit angry and confused as to what was the intentions of the maintenance worker. So that was my last straw with this place. The buildings inside/out needs a lot of work as well, if you care about certain details. So my experience with The Brittany here in Burlington has been unpleasant due to these factors plus others.
