They are always there to answer questions and they know you by name. Maintenance problems has never been an issue. Usually maintenance request are handled within the same day of requesting them. You can either make request on line or in person. The second thing is love is how beautiful the complex is. It's like a mini community at night. The complex stays very clean and the apartment amenities are great. Dog park, gym, year round pool and valet trash is what you get while renting here. No smoking allowed unless you are 20+ feet away from the building is something I love. They have doggy DNA so you will be fined if you don't pick up after your dog waste. Gym stays pretty clean. The gym has free wifi and 3-4 flat screen tvs inside. There's also a nice sized bathroom inside. You need a key card to access pretty much anything, which is great. There a free vacuum and car wash station in the back. In the club house, there are laptops available for you to use and also a printer present. The club house is so cute and decorated perfectly. You can rent it out if necessary. The management have resident parties pretty regularly. Rent is reasonable compare to other places. I love staying here! If I moved into another complex, it would definitely be a downgrade.

We…read morecould only have two cars parked in front of the building to accommodate our neighbors but once they switched companies I had to get home early to park or I would have to park three buildings down. People would park cars they didn't drive or work but the office didn't do anything about it, just told me I could park in the extra space which was four buildings down. It's a gated community but half the time the box didn't work to let you in so if you left your key card or had visitors after 6pm you would have to wait until someone with a card could let you in. My air went out during the summer while I was 8months pregnant called the maintenance line at 10pm nobody answered until 7am and didn't come out until 11am. It was the middle of June. I kept calling about my toilet not flushing the maintenance man informed me that it was molded and needed to be replaced 3months after me moving in but they never replaced it just kept pouring solution down it. They will find anyway to get money out of you. They raised rent which is why most people moved out and they started charging for you to have a pet which they didn't do at first. You pay for trash but the valet person didn't come most nights or wouldn't take your trash if you had multiple bags. The trash can is too small but you pay for them to take a Walmart bag to the dumpster. I couldn't get my deposit back due to a late fee. My rent has never been late, but because I accidentally charged my card twice $1200 and called my bank to dispute one of the charges because the ladies at the office couldn't do anything but leave a credit on the account I got charged for a returned payment. I don't know anyone who would be willing to leave $1200 on their account knowing they have other bills and a kid to take care of just because the faculty didn't know how to credit my bank account back. No accommodations what so ever, so I had no choice but to contact my bank. I paid the bill on time but couldn't get the second payment I made back for the same amount. Overall my experience with watercourse was terrible once no management took over. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Periodic pressure washing used to occur but it has been several years since then. Visit the pool and pick out a chair...it will be moldy and worn. Go to the car wash area and see the holes that have occurred in the hoses of the vacuum and water spigot. Be careful as you walk the sidewalks, parts have raised and cracked and unfortunately most of these areas are by handicap parking spaces.

The office has treated my family and I as if we are VIPs. Waterside even had the answers for everything that we needed (furniture rentals, washer/dryer rental, great Mexican food recommendation, and even an amazing church recommendation!) The customer service and the welcoming atmosphere at Waterside is top-notch!! I had a few minor maintenance requests upon moving in and Waterside made me feel like I was again, a VIP. Maintenance came ASAP and got us taken care of before we even moved in. I forgot to mention something in my first maintenance request, so I sent in another one, and Waterside again had us all taken care of ASAP. The grounds at Waterside are ALWAYS clean. The landscaping is always nicely done as well. The pool is always clean (as well as the bathroom at the pool) and is so nice to look out to at any given time from our apartment windows or patio. I LOVE that even though we are living in an apartment with several neighbors surrounding us, the noise is very very very minimal. I am impressed to say the least! Even with living right next to the park, pool, and gym, the noise is very minimal. I enjoy that I always have a good parking spot. Most of the time I am able to back into a spot right in front of the breezeway that I use. I love that the community has a safe feel with the apartments being tucked away a bit and surrounded by other nice apartments as well as the gated community. The valet trash is pretty neat too! I have never had that before and it sure is convenient! Most of the time the kids enjoy taking a walk to the trash compactor and throwing it away, but when we do use the valet trash service, it sure is nice. Thank you everyone at Waterside for taking care of us. My daughters LOVED the flower pot painting event y'all had in the office. Looking forward to the pool party! Thank you for making my girls feel special as well. (Every time my daughters have visited the office, the staff knows who they are and where they belong.) Any issue (the few I've had), the staff has swiftly assisted me with it, answered any questions I had and the amenities are also a plus, the dog park, the pool and the gym are all wonderful! My dog Sadie has loved the staff and the ability to walk around the complex and utilize the dog park. She also has loved all the treats the staff give her every time they see her, she will definitely miss you guys when we move out! Thanks for being a wonderful home for me and her the last year!

The staff is very warm, inviting and showed that the tenants are the priority which feels so good! The only issue we've had since moving in has been the parking. There is no parking on near our building, next to the townhomes. We have to park all the way next to the clubhouse and walk towards the townhomes almost daily. Other than this we absolutely love it. I purchased TWO air purifiers for the smoke and marijuana smells and SIX sound machines to drown out my noisy neighbors. When potential residents are taken on a tour, they are shown the model apartment which has all the upgrades and is sound proof. Once you move in, you will get the opposite of what you were shown. You have been warned, if you still choose to live at the Lofts at Haw River make sure to purchase an air purifier and sound machine.

After calling countless rental places and short term stays in hotels... I came across affordable suites of America... The manager, Lynn, was amazing! She had a room that we can stay here... They allow pets... And it was reasonably priced. They could not have been nicer! The place was nice! There were people that we met there that have lived there for as many as 18 years. I was given a job and had less than a week to move out. it was stressful! Fortunately, Brittany (one of the landladies) was extremely helpful getting me settled in. She understood my needs and went out of her way to help me. I have never encountered such generosity from a landlord/lady before in my life until I met Brittany. I moved in on a weekend... the apartment office was closed, but she came in to help. Brittany informed me that she lived a few minutes away and can be reached if anything goes wrong. She even got electricity running in my apartment right before I moved in! I called several other apartments who were not very accommodating on a short given notice as Brittany was. My rate was also the cheapest in the area: 1 bedroom apartment for $550. The surrounding area makes this apartment a great choice. You are near the highway exit (2 mins away) to get to larger cities... BUT you can't hear the highway noise from your apartment! This is a very peaceful community and the tenants are very courteous and polite. There are a lot of tenants here who have lived here for about 20 years and are extremely content. The property is very, very clean and we have police officers patrol our community twice a day. One of my neighbors offered to help me move heavy furniture into my apartment when he saw me try to lift it alone out of my car. I cannot speak for the whole complex, but I have not encountered any disruptive noises at night on my side. The neighbors I live among are retired folks. If you want peace and quiet... live here! If you are a kind of person who likes to throw weekend parties, you will make enemies here rather quickly. This is a very family oriented apartment complex. My favorite feature is the washer and dryer. You can't have one at your own apartment, but it's a great way to save on electric bills (there is a dishwasher unit)! The washer and dryers are a month old AND they only take Credit Card. The best part is that the washer AND dryer units will TEXT your phone when a load is done. Very high tech... you don't have to wait around in the laundry facility. The kitchen space seems small, but don't be fooled; it's got a nice pantry closet and a ton of cabinets. I was pleasantly surprised of how it looked compared to the photos and Youtube video I saw. The only two CONS I encountered here: 1. The previous tenant who lived in my apartment before me was an indoor smoker. My apartment was clean... except it smelled like a pack of cigarettes when I first walked in. I am mildly allergic to cigarette smoke and this posed a health concern. Unfortunately, this IS the South and there are a few cigarette shops around town. I ended up washing the walls with distilled white vinegar and sprinkled baking soda on the carpet (and vacuuming it) to try to get the smell out. It didn't get all of it out, but the smell isn't as strong as it was. I honestly would rather put up with this than live with roaches or things that need major maintenance repairs (compared to where I last lived) 2. It is easy to save on electric bills here (washer/dryer costs a buck to run at the laundry facility, I don't use the dishwasher and it stays a little warmer here longer than in the northern states). The water utility is INCLUDED in your monthly rent (hooray for hot showers!). You may not have a fitness center, but it's convenient to pay $30 a month for an outside gym membership than spending an extra $100 on rent at the nearby apartments who have them... BUT the cable and high-speed internet bill is where you will run into problems. You MUST go with Time Warner (which is the most expensive provider) for cable and internet, or you are stuck with AT&T Dial-Up. I tried getting around this with other internet service provided and had no luck. TW said that they would give me a "cheaper deal" ($70 not including phone line) because I was a tenant at Parkridge, but I honestly found better deals offered by Direct TV if I could find the internet service provided to bundle it with (and would of saved an extra $20 a month instead of going to TW). I've also ran into several problems with TW with my cable box AND internet modem within the first week of using it and their customer service is awful. Overall, if you are looking for something affordable, a place to get started in, and a friendly, quieter community to live in, then this is the right apartment complex. Personally... if I had more money I would get something else, but this is a good start. EDIT: I recently found out where the cigarette smoke came from. My next door neighbors smoke a LOT and since our air ventilation is SHARED, their smoke gets into my Apartment. Always nice to breath second-hand smoke when the heat/AC are on.
