I scheduled an oil change on line. The day before my appt. I received a phone call to remind me of appt. After the oil change I received two phone calls one day apart to ask how my experience was. I asked them to take me off their follow-up call list. Since then I have received 4 reminders on my email that I need my windshield wipers replaced for 130 dollars. The previous oil change the exact same thing occurred. What is the point of scheduling online if they are going to hound the shit out of me? read more

We bought two new Hondas at this dealership: 2004 Pilot and 2011 CRV. I have spent literally days of time over twenty years repeatedly going back to sales, marketing, service, the sales manager, dealership general manager and EVEN had a sit down meeting with the purported owner. EVERY instruction, request, demand to be taken OFF their marketing / sales / service lists has been met with promises of removal, yet even when (in real example) a service writer verifies that your account says DO NOT TEXT all over it, I get texted routine acknowledgement of taking my vehicle there for an oil change, 10 minutes after the writer said OK, we will not text. Then another with a survey after. My wife made the BIG MISTAKE going to these people to look at a new Pilot a few weeks ago. Nice young sales guy, but the same clueless, harassing dealership practices. She made them a legit cash offer on a new Pilot. They countered with an offer that was more than she was willing to pay. Three days later sales calls to once again offer the same price she turned down! A week after that, a saleshole calls AGAIN to offer the same lame deal she turned down TWICE! I explained that she had ALREADY purchased a 2025 Ford Explorer, and did NOT want further offers or contact. The overly friendly (fake) sales jerk said he would get us out of the system. I wasn't holding my breath, as they have a 20 year record with us of repeatedly continuing sales / service / survey harassment after every contact, and every promise to get us out of their system. This morning I got yet another email soliciting sales, even after the second saleshole called, was told we bought another new car, and said he would get us off their lists. These people do not give a **** about anyone, including loyal customers! They will NOT purge contact data, and continually violate their promises not to contact, recontact, email, call, text... EVERY repeated request, demand sumarrily dismissed by a dealership that will harass the living heck out of you to see if there is a loose nickel to shake out! I wish for these people that their family members, daughters, moms, etc., to receive the despicable, disrespectful harassment that have continued to deliver to our family, after literally decades of written, verbal and in person demands to stop! An employee from this dealership reached out to me regarding a vehicle that they had that I was interested in. She stated they the vehicle I was interested in available to test drive. I am trying to figure out what model vehicle that I would like to purchase, so I took her up on the offer to come out and drive the vehicle. We set up an appointment for an afternoon. I would be with a different sales representative and his information was passed along to me. After he confirmed my appointment three times, including that morning, I drove out there that afternoon. Upon arrival, I asked for this man at the receptionist desk. She called with no answer. She paged him overhead with no answer. This continued on for 10 minutes or so. Nobody knew where he was. After waiting a bit, I was set up with another employee to at least drive the vehicle. The vehicle could not be located. I ended up leaving. I never heard back from the initial salesman or the initial employee that reached out to me from the beginning. It was by far one of the worst dealership experiences I have ever had. read more

This place will lie about services and then act like you're the problem. They forgot to put the oil cap back on after an oil change. I was pretty upset about their mistake but tried to give them the chance to correct it. They said they were going to clean the engine and do another oil change since cap was off for 3 days before I smelt the oil and seen the smoke coming off the engine. They did neither called next day said it was good to go that they cleaned engine no more burnt oil smell or smoke coming off engine. Turns out they just topped off the oil that was lost due to them leaving the oil cap off and couldn't even clean the engine. I honestly do not understand why they wouldn't clean up their mess and then lie and said they did. This makes no sense, when I got my car back oil was still all over the engine, smoke coming off the engine from the oil burning and had a strong odor. Why not just correct your mistake. read more

I've been having my Honda's serviced at Lees Summit Honda for 11 years. The service has been excellent and convenient. Over the past year, I have noticed a steady decline in their customer service - the most annoying is the continuous upselling during the appointments, especially relating to air filters. They will bring out disgusting air filters even if you have just changed them yourself! At my last two appointments, I told them I do not want filters at check-in, and they keep trying this tired and deceptive trick of having a tech bring a dirty air filter to you in the waiting room to get you to pay $130 for new filters. My last visit, however, will be the last. The appointment lasted over 7 hours when I was told it would be an hour to 90 minutes (I need an oil change, fluids, and tires rotated)! There was no reason given for the extra time - it took them 3 hours to get my car to the initial inspection. Then, when I checked out, the total did not match the estimate, and when I asked why, the representative (Keith Allen) couldn't have cared less. He said their system was terrible and made no effort to understand why my bill was higher and did not match the estimate. It was a crappy experience, and I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. I also noticed that I didn't get the post-service customer service survey for the first time in years - they know they've gone downhill and do not care. read more

buying experience with salesman was good...everything else, not so much. my husband got his car here a few years ago and had a great experience along with the dealership's lifetime warranty guarantee, which is why we went back here for my new car recently. I purchased several add-ons/upgrades...one of which ended up not being able to be done after I had already paid for it, so a check was issued per my request (not including labor costs initially...I had to contact to ask for that to be added to the repayment too). the grill I purchased for an additional cost as an add-on was drilled into (permanent bad looking damage from splaying the plastic) for the front license plate holder (which I don't require per my state)...so basically the front license plate holder has to stay on otherwise it looks awful. the day I was told my car was entirely ready, it was actually still missing its floor mats, so we had to go back a second time to pick those up a week after actually getting my car (30 minute drive each way, which dealership was aware of)...I verified there was nothing else I needed to do that day or get that day since we were there (turns out there was paperwork to get which I was not told about until the DMV mishap day a few days after). I got to the DMV for titling, which everyone knows is already quite the hassle as is, and it turned out my bill of sale was done incorrectly showing my new car's VIN as my old car's trade in VIN + no new car VIN listed under the new car serial number, and could not be processed at the DMV...this caused me to have to go back and deal with the line once again. Phil, who I had not worked with previously, answered my call and was incredibly helpful and thorough in sorting out the DMV issue, even following up with me later on in the day once I had left the DMV to be sure everything worked out. I appreciated this greatly! He also scanned all PDFs of the paperwork and sent via email that I had not been told about so that I would not have to make a THIRD hour-long drive out to the dealership. read more

Repeated problems with this dealership texting my phone even when the service advisor said he sees 'do not text' all over our account page! My wife specifically told him when she brought the vehicle in for service, and he specifically said he sees 'do not text' on the account page! Yesterday he claimed he called and left message in the morning. There was only one call from him (no message) at 3:44 PM that I answered. This morning I get texted with an html survey request. I am on a non-internet flip phone, and I specifically request to NOT be texted each time we come in, and it is noted on our account. No matter how many people at this place say they will fix this, EVERYONE there ignores the simple, documented request! WARNING! Lee Summit Honda doesn't tell you until you pay that Honda charges 3 PERCENT FOR USING CREDIT CARDS! So their auto repair rates do NOT include 3% so they look lower. They blame banks but EVERY BUSINESS pays for credit card use with the banks. But only LEE SUMMIT HONDA ADDS THE 3% CHARGE! Not the grocery, gas, hospitals, barber, or anywhere else. Rarely do they - because that 3% is OVERHEAD ALREADY BUILT INTO THEIR PRICES!!!! Just another way for slick car dealerships to charge us more. BTW, in 2024 less than 20% of USA sales are in CASH. FEWER ARE USING CASH. So this is just another gimmick. BRING CASH to pay the bill at LEE SUMMIT HONDA. Then, two workers have to work. 1st the person who served you ar the repair check-in AND the CASHIER! So it really is inconvenient and costly to process cash too. Get it? It's a gimmick. read more

We went for service work there because it is where we purchased our vehicle in the first place. We have always had a good experience when dealing with this business. Overall, we were treated fairly and with courtesy during the entire situation and service visit. Unfortunately, there was an unusual situation that happened to us upon finding that our vehicle needed a covered repair. When calling the extended warranty coverage people, we found there was a mistake made by the dealership's past finance manager where he mistakenly canceled our extended vehicle service warranty. The same Extended Warranty that we had purchased extra when originally buying the vehicle. So, when a couple of covered parts went out and needed repair, we found that we were no longer covered because of the dealerships error. The good news is that the dealership covered the necessary repairs that would have and should have still been covered by our extended warranty. Plus they found a few other things that the car needed (like new tires and brakes) so we paid them to have those done as well. We still do not have the extended Warranty coverage that we signed up for, which should still have been in effect for another year and a half. However, I feel relatively confident that the dealership will continue to treat us fairly and shoulder the burden of their mistake until something can be done to rectify this situation. I am waiting to hear back from someone on how we will move forward with a resolution. But I do feel that Lees Summit Honda is a good dealership and I would still trust them at this point when purchasing another vehicle. The service manager and the couple of sales managers that we dealt with thus far, have all been exceptional in their dealings with us to this point. And again, I'm pretty confident that they'll handle this situation amicably going forward. REMEMBER: "Communication" is always the key to stellar reviews, as long as there is good rapport between individuals; mistakes and misunderstandings can take place and STILL be resolved in an excellent fashion leaving all parties with a good experience and great outcome. *I'll come back and UPDATE this review as soon as the entire situation has been closed amicably. read more

As with every good grift, everything started off great... I asked questions, I got answers ( which turned out to be incorrect ). Based upon those empty promises, I showed up Saturday morning as promised, to test drive a vehicle that they admitted had not been through their shop to inspect, but they said if I was ok with that, they were. Before I took it for the test drive, I informed them that I would want to have it inspected by my regular Mazda dealership before purchase. They told me no problem; it was going to be a couple of days before they could even get the car into their shop. Experience has taught me that the dealership selling the car is inspecting to make sure it will pass state licensing inspection, but they often skip over costly repairs that are required to keep it on the road. It's more profitable to say that it checks out perfectly than it is to say it's going to cost a bunch of money to fix. After the test drive, I noted a few issues that needed to be investigated before I signed the paperwork, but I was very interested. I offered to make a deposit to hold the car for 2 days until my shop could get me in for an inspection I had already scheduled. If the car checked out, I would be buying the car. At first, the story was, I needed to sign a paper saying the $500 deposit was "nonrefundable", but that was a formality, if I found mechanical issues, they would refund the money. Then after I wrote the check, they changed the story to, it's nonrefundable, no matter what. I was willing to invest $170 for an independent inspection, that alone should have shown my sincerity of purchase, but clearly it was not. Considering they themselves hadn't even inspected the car, I explained nonrefundable was NOT acceptable. There was no telling what problems might be found and they weren't willing to say they would repair anything that was found after I made the purchase, it was "as is". I said fine, I guess I'll leave and come back next Tuesday, if it's still here, I'll take it for another test drive to be inspected. They then came back and said that since I had already checked the car out for a test drive, I could just keep the car until the following Tuesday when I had scheduled my inspection... no deposit required... To me, this was crazy way to do business, but if that's their rules, ok... I'll play it their way. I wanted the car, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be a money pit. This was the set up for their con... Halfway home, I get a text to contact them immediately. When I call, they inform me that they have another appointment to show the car later that afternoon, I needed to bring it back immediately. The implication was I better go ahead and buy it without inspection, if I didn't want to let it get sold to someone else. It's a manipulation tactic I'd never seen before, but it was it was right out of the bad used car salesman playbook. The joke is on them, I was not desperate for a car, I'm not willing to be lied too or treated like a dumb mark when they made hundreds of thousands of the make and models I'm looking for, I'll buy from someone else. I'll also never buy from them, ever. I recommend that people looking for a car, used or otherwise, avoid them this dealership if at all possible. Funny, come Monday morning, they wanted me to come back to buy the car.. but by then, I'd already found a better offer, on a better car, from a dealership that didn't treat me like a mark. Treat customers like a mark, acquire the title, con men. read more

I would avoid this dealership at all costs. I recently bought a used chevy truck from this dealership with 55K miles. At 60K miles it had a serious misfire. Trying to get this fixed on the dealership's ''lifetime powertrain warranty" has been an absolute nightmare. I've had to drive to this dealership twice because I couldn't get anyone on the phone. Once the service manager, Aaron Rose, took over he was very much more communicative. Communicative yes, but he did not have any sense as to what was actually happening with my case. I am very pleased with Lee's Summit Honda Service area. I just had my 7500 mile check-up and multi-point inspection, and it was a great experience! I had noticed a grating sound coming from under my feet, so they inspected that area as well. Kudos and many thanks to Madison in the service area for figuring out that my skid plate was loose and securing it for me--at no charge!! She also discovered my cabin air filter was pretty dirty (she showed it to me), even though my engine air filter was fine, and I asked her to replace it. I appreciate her attention to detail! My service advisor was Edwin, and he took very good care of me. He passed on my concern about the grating sound to Madison, and gave me status reports as my car was being worked on. He was friendly and efficient, and very patient and reassuring in response to all my questions. The customer waiting area was a lovely place to wait during the short time (under 2.5 hours) my car was being serviced. There are work stations with AC and USB plug-ins along with free Wi-Fi, a free refreshment area, and restrooms conveniently located. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Overall, I feel that both my car and myself were well taken care of. They even washed my car before returning it to me! I never mind making the trip from KCMO to Lee's Summit because the quality of work and care I receive is definitely worth the drive. Thanks so much! read more

The cars equipment definitely has the latest technology. As a senior citizen, the cars advanced technology could have really been perplexing to me. Ozzie has taken a great deal of time to review and explain anything I am confused about. He patiently explained the technology in a way I could understand. When communicating Ozzie is clear and concise. He doesnt mind repeating things he has already explained. I have observed Ozzie: he treats every customer as extremely important. Ozzie's integrity and trustworthiness is evident. I intend to continue doing business with Ozzie for many years to come. I have had my older Honda serviced at Lees Summit Honda for years. The customer service can only be described as exceptional. There has never been any time where I have had to wait (not even for a minute). The technicians take me in immediately. It seems, they are waiting for me. The technicians advise me on what, if any, work is urgent and if there is work that is less of a priority. I trust them to be honest and not push costly unnecessary maintenance work. I get a "small town" feel at Lees Summit Honda, rather than a feeling like I am just another number being rushed through. Called in to get my truck looked at. It took them over a month to get it into the shop.I have a lifetime warrenty and insurance so you'd think they wouldn't so long to even look at my truck. When it arrived they did virtually nothing and told me to bring it to a more qualified mechanic. when i did, this new mechanic at a completely different dealership got me in in three days. Honda wants to charge me daily for a crappy rental that cant even fit my equuiptment for work even though the trucks still under warranty. Sad Management, slandering other mechanics Like Dave Cross to my face, even though they sent me there after their own sad little techs can't even diagnose a Flat tire. XD read more

I've taken my car here many times in the past with no problems but this last visit will be the last time. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told there were 2 lug nuts missing, which weren't missing the time prior. I was told it would cost a few hundred dollars to replace them and told them I wouldn't be having that done. I had to return the next day because the tire light came on and it was making a strange noise. I was told the tire pressure was good but that I needed rear right brakes that would cost a minimum of $330. I was not told that the day before when I was there so I was a little suspicious of that. The next day my car started making a horrible noise that sounded like a tire was going flat or like the whole wheel might fall off. I had another mechanic check it out and he discovered the wheels had not been tightened down and he also found the 2 "missing" lug nuts in my glove compartment. He put them back on and tightened the wheels and now it sounds normal and drives perfectly. Their incompetence could've killed me or someone else had my wheel come off, which it almost surely would had I continued to drive it. I'm having the rear brakes checked by another mechanic to see if they really need to be replaced. I wonder how many other services I had done that I didn't really need. I now question every service I've had done there, including wondering if the oil change was even done correctly. Was I being taken advantage of because I'm woman? I don't know. But whether I was or wasn't, there is still no excuse for that kind of incompetence and out right dishonesty about the lug nuts being missing. You should be ashamed for conducting business like that and you're lucky nothing major happened or you'd have quite a law suit on your hands. That is definitely the last time I do business with Lee's Summit Honda. read more

Follow up, 5/30/18. I switched servicing Honda dealers some time ago due to poor service at LSH. Today, I decided to give them another chance. The drive through the "triangle" and construction on 470 was too daunting, and I just needed an oil change and tire rotation. LSH is very close to my house. It was too tempting an alternative. I scheduled Service Minder "A" and additional service "1" as per Honda's online menu. Honda dealers have great service scheduling online, it is very transparent...or one would think. A1 is "x" dollars when you sign up online. The price and appointment time are confirmed to you. I show up this morning. I'm checked in. My service advisor whips out a clipboard with a service paper on it, writes a number on it that is substantially higher than what I had signed up for online, and quickly draws a line elsewhere on the paper for me to sign. This is a bit rushed, as in maybe I won't notice that random number up top. I inquire as to what the number is that is half again what I expected to pay and what is clearly presented on their website. The explanation is that "A1" on the website (their website) is different than the "A1" they recommend at the store. Conveniently, the store version is more expensive. This was never laid out for me until I declined to sign and questioned the charge. At this point, the service advisor told me to sign the paper, and they would adjust the charge later. I asked what the charge would be adjusted to. I was told "we'll take care of it, don't worry about it, I promise". Now, I ask you who are reading this review: would you sign a paper with an incorrect price on it at a dealership, and just trust that they would "take care of it" after you had signed on the line that is dotted? Yeah, you wouldn't. At this point, and given my prior history of sub-par service at this location, I declined to have my car serviced at all. It was a big inconvenience, as I would REALLY have liked to have my oil change out of the way. We have vacation coming up, not much time left before we leave, and it is a huge pain to figure something else out. However, you have to decide in life whether you're going to support a business that treats you poorly. The answer is no. I'll hustle and figure something else out. To those at Lee's Summit Honda: It is so simple. If a person signs up for "X" on your website at a certain price, just honor it. If you want to recommend another service, fine, but don't try to just slide it in there under the radar. It is painfully obvious why businesses behave like this. A lot of customers just pay the extra bucks and don't question it. When you service hundreds or thousands of cars, and put your thumb on the scale a little bit each ticket, this adds up big time. Ticking off a few customers like me and losing them is a calculated decision. The revenue lost by my going elsewhere is more than made up for by the people who just suck it up. I contacted Lees Summit Honda to schedule an appointment to have my sunroof repaired. On 6-10-2024 I brought my vehicle over to Lees summit Honda. They requested to have my vehicle in there possession. After looking at my vehicle they contacted me telling me of immediate repairs my vehicle needed. I told them to order the parts and I would like to have my vehicle fixed. on 06-12-2024 I contacted them to find out if my vehicle was fixed and ready for pick up. A sales representative told me he would like to keep my vehicle over night and would have it ready the next day. On 6-13-2024 found out my vehicle was ready for pick up and came over to pick my vehicle up. Upon pick up I discovered DAMAGE to my leather seats inside my vehicle. I brought to there attention. Sara was the first person I spoke to. she wanted to see my vehicle so I showed her the DAMAGE. she then placed blame on me and had me speak to a guy.SCOTT HUBBARD was the guy who told me it was my fault. He laughed and was very disrespectful to me. He never asked me to see the DAMAGE to my vehicle. He showed ZERO concern for my vehicle or me. I was very upset after my encounter with SCOTT HUBBARD. I will NEVER do any business with Lees Summit Honda again. The total charges to my vehicle were over $2500.00 too. read more

We love our Honda Odyssey, but the workers in the service department need trained. We had 4 different recall notices for our van so we made an appointment to specifically have the recalls fixed. I took the van in early and planned to leave it all day. Upon arrival, our dash was showing a maintenance code. The worker asked if we wanted to get that work done and I asked if there was enough time in one day to do all the work. I was assured there was plenty time. They did all the maintenance needed, then called to tell us the brakes also needed pads. So we hesitantly said go ahead and do that too. When we picked up the vehicle, we had an extremely large bill when we thought originally we were not going to be out a dime. Before we left they realized that they completely forgot to do any of the recalls which is the purpose for the scheduled appointment. Upon returning home we saw they also charged us for a vehicle inspection. Our van is less than 5 years old therefore Missouri doesn't even require an inspection. Don't know where that came from. Now the dealership is calling us again wanting to schedule a time for us to come in for the recalls...I wonder how much it will cost me the next time. I bet it's not free. read more

Worst kind of service I have got. They just added up items in the bill which they didn't do at all. I bought my car from them last November, I went to them to get my first servicing, but the receiving itself so bad. To whatever doubts I may ask, the answer is "Sorry, we don't do / Sorry, there is no one today to do that service". I asked for a carwash, they told the personnel is not available today, but added in my bill "Free carwash", When I asked about this they took the car and just sprinkled some water on exterior of car leaving itself to dry and handed it over to me. I feel like they are not interested in serving the customer although you buy a car from them. I would strictly recommend not to buy / service from this place. read more

Lee's Summit Honda has the best phone question response time, customer service, and quick repair time (accurate predicted wait time) that I've experienced in at least 5 years (2 different vehicles, only 1 has been a Honda). I currently live in Overland Park, and I've been disappointed with the service overall at Olathe Honda for a while. Lee's Summit Honda actually fixed my 2 problems. Fixed them. Within the 1.5 hours that they predicted. The dashboard light finally stayed off, due to their fix (repair, tune-up, calibration, or whatever). Unfortunately, I used my oil change coupon at Olathe Honda within 2 weeks of Lee's Summit Honda's repairs. OH completely screwed up, and the dash light came back on. I will only ever go to Lee's Summit Honda from now on for any maintenance or repairs. read more

His honesty and easy going personality made the whole process a breeze! The service dept manager came to introduce himself (cannot recall his name) and was very nice and personable. I made a service appointment on the site. I showed up for the appointment at 10 am and was told that they wouldn't get to my car because they were busy. I said I had an appointment and they said appointments don't actually mean anything. Pretty rude the entire time, complete waste of time going in. Don't bother. read more

I will NEVER purchase a car from this dealership again!! It has been nothing but problem after problem and lack of customer service. To start my application to title set on the financial managers desk for weeks without a notice to me. I supposedly signed something in the wrong spot but they never contacted me..I had to contact them! My 30 day tags were about to expire so I reached out to find out what had happened. I got it taken care of but I had to chase them down. While buying my car we negotiated 2 oil changes into the price. But of course when we go to get my first oil change..they have no record of the two we negotiated. My fiancé simply asked the service guy to please look it up in the system to check to see if there was 2 oil changes in the system but he refused. He said he didn't have time and he would check later and call us. But of course nobody called us This place lacks management and customer service...will not be returning for their business. read more

My family purchased a vehicle at this dealership and barely a week later it broke down. I tried several times to get the dealership to help with the costs, which they refused. They would not return my emails or calls. it also took a month to get my registration paperwork saying they had the incorrect phone numbers. Our information has been in their system for over a decade and get constant calls asking to sell our previous vehicle we had purchased from there. Do not do business with this dealership. read more

Horrible customer service. I live in Independence, MO, and the Honda I gave to my son had a recall. I bought a new Mitsubishi from Northtowne Mistubishi and couldn't be more pleased. I am used to the wonderful service Honda used to provide at Independence Honda. They provided a loaner, shuttle and excellent communication. My Honda Civic 2004 was recalled for air bags. My son took the car up there. The visit was totally Honda's fault. The lady on the phone told me he could have a loaner. I can't take off work to go and get him. I received a call from him saying I needed to come and get him there was no loaner. What she failed to tell me over the phone was that anyone under 25 couldn't get a loaner, and of course they don't provide a shuttle even though the car is going to be in their shop for hours. I am beyond mad about this. I will be calling the manager of Lee's Summit Honda to complain...but first I'm putting this on Yelp. read more

1 star. And only that much because of Aaron Rose. I had to call 3-4 times before I could get to him but he usually was able to call back. Nobody there seemed to care about our situation (except Aaron). Our vehicle was there for a general recall which turned out to be 3 months of not having a car while I had to work with a rude customer service representative from American Honda. I was told by American Honda and by Lees Summit Honda (LSH) I was not able to have a loaner because of how LSH did their loaners. My family doesn't have money for a rental and thank goodness my wife is stay at home because I'm sure we wouldn't have been able to keep both our jobs without having both of our vehicles. None the less it was extremely difficult to figure out the one car situation for so long due to my occupation. I work into the late night so there was no way for my wife to wake up our 2 year old and 8 month old to pick me up from work. Truly was a miserable 3 months. We were able to figure out getting around by help from family and coworkers. If it wasn't for Arron Rose having generally good answers to questions I had, my review would be left at 0 stars. It should be noted I haven't had any issues with LSH until this experience. LSH had been recommended to me by a family member. I had to drive past several other dealerships to go there but now I wish I had just gone to any Honda dealership that could have actually been sympathetic to our situation or even better just given us a loaner. In the end American Honda bought our car back from us. I strongly deter anyone from going here. Also the only reason I'm even leaving a review is because I got a text from them to leave a review. read more
