I rarely leave reviews like this, but the way management handled our concern after purchasing our 2025 Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch deserves to be documented. When purchasing the Bronco, we were specifically asked how we intended to use the vehicle. We explained that towing was part of that use and that we wanted the appropriate upgrades. We relied on the Ford dealership--the people we reasonably considered the subject-matter experts on the vehicle--to explain what equipment and configuration would be necessary. We do want to acknowledge that there was no hitch installed on the back of the Bronco at the time of purchase. However, that does not change the fact that the required tow package and related towing functionality were never disclosed or discussed with us during the sales process. We later discovered that additional equipment/configuration was required for the trailer-related lighting and signaling functionality we needed when towing. This was never mentioned during the sale, and even when we brought the Bronco back to this dealership weeks later for service, nothing was brought up then either. Before writing a public review, I emailed the dealership privately. My email was professional and specifically gave them an opportunity to address the situation and tell us what they could do to help. Management immediately called me. Unfortunately, that conversation is ultimately why I am leaving this review. Rather than acknowledging that this information could have been better communicated during the sale or discussing a possible solution, the manager was dismissive and repeatedly placed the responsibility on us. His position was essentially that because we purchased the Bronco without a hitch, we should not have assumed the necessary towing functionality was included, and he made it clear the dealership would not be doing anything about it. My response remains very simple: I don't know what I don't know. We told the dealership what we intended to do with the vehicle. We purchased a highly equipped Bronco with the expectation that the professionals selling it would explain which features were necessary for our stated use. Had someone told us during the sale that we needed an additional towing package, component, or configuration, we would have purchased or addressed it then. This isn't about expecting every available option to magically be included. It's about expecting knowledgeable guidance when you're purchasing a vehicle and have specifically explained how you intend to use it--especially when the missing functionality relates to proper trailer lighting and signaling. What disappointed me most wasn't discovering the issue. Problems and misunderstandings happen. It was management's response when we gave the dealership an opportunity to make it right. We are now out of state handling the issue ourselves. Based on both the sales experience and, more importantly, management's response afterward, I would not purchase another vehicle from this dealership. If you're purchasing a Bronco here and intend to tow, I strongly recommend independently researching and verifying every towing component and feature yourself before signing anything. Unfortunately, our experience taught us not to assume that information will be explained to you--even when you've clearly communicated how you intend to use the vehicle. read more

I have been a loyal Ford customer for 25 years. Had a rear washer not working issue on my 2022 Platinum Expedition. The washer tube between the chassis and the rear door was broke due to improper installation at the factory. I have had 40 vehicles in my life and have never seen a washer hose broken. I had spent over $3000 from Ford for their best warranty. Ford would cover only 80% and Bob Sight would not cover the remaining 20% which was only $47. Small price for a dealership. This is the last Ford I will buy. read more

Costly advice. Told us we needed a new transmission, $5-7k plus 1 month waiting list or seek specialty shop. Trans shop had us in and out in a day, running like butter with a basic transmission service and a new shutter guard for $400! read more

I purchased a new F150 in 2017 from another dealer but was not being serviced well. I came to Rob sight and have been impressed with their service department for the past 3+ years. They are very reasonable, easy to deal with and honest in their repairs. I called to get an appointment for an oil change. They told me to bring it in and they would work it in. So I dropped it off the evening prior in the dropbox and left it with them all day. All I was getting was an oil change. I called them when I got off work at 3:00 and they said it hadn't been worked in yet. They kept stringing me along so I finally showed up at 5:45 pm since they close at 6:00 pm. The guy said they couldn't get to it after leaving it with them the entire day. We had a wonderful experience with Emery ! He got us into the perfect vehicle and was unbelievably helpful! He made sure everything was taken care of and treated us more like friends than clients. We really appreciate how smoothly everything went. I gave 4 stars though because the new ( used ) car we purchased had to go through service and cleaning and it took several days which was very frustrating. Could be a rough week! Don't appreciate being lied to Called about brake recall after getting notice in mail - was told parts were on backorder & I would be notified when they were in-stock - a few weeks later, I was called & told that the parts were in-stock, so made an appointment - after 2-hours, was told that "computer test" revealed brake defect & "parts needed to be ordered & would not arrive until the end of July" - took 10-minutes to get my car when I arrived to pick up - was told "crew was manually pushing car that stalled & my car would be brought up soon" - looked out window & saw my car sitting in entrance bay, so went out & drove it away myself - wasted 1/2 of a day off work & now must do it again - not a very "customer service" oriented business where nobody seems to know what's going on read more

I called and spoke to woman today that told me my vehicle could not be worked on. it had been 2 years since it was serviced. Representative told me my vehicle was too old? Incompetent Service Department. Took my 2016 F150 into the service department due to the A/C cycling every 30 seconds and sounded like a hissing noise. First I was told it was the noise was the freon hitting the compressor - "normal operating design". Ask to speak to the Service Manager about my concern since it didn't function that way for 11K miles. He check with his tech and shop manager and claimed it was functioning correctly. So more or less I must be imagining the sound? I'm not a car/truck mechanic, but I opened the hood and could see the issue of the A/C cycling. Made a formal compliant to Ford - no action of cause. Took my truck to another dealer, who straight away realized the root cause of the freon levels were low which was causing the A/C to cycle (which was causing the hissing noise). They added 6oz of freon and done a leak test. Terrible customer service from the Bob Sight Ford Service Department. Maybe you need some more "Factory Training". read more

This place is awesome had a couple recalls on my work van. They told me it'd be a few hrs to repair so I made an appointment and figured I'd Uber to the gym while I waited. Danny heard I was gonna get a Uber and told me no I'll get a guy to run you up there. Long story short these guys ran me to the gym picked me up from the gym and were done in two hrs instead of three. Also I had a warning light cause one of my tires were low when I got my van back all my lights were cleared. Great service department. read more

This is a mixed review of good and bad. I purchased a used car from Bob Sight in February and was told car had never been damaged. Took it to another dealership and they wouldn't honor warranty because of the previous damage that had been negligently repaired in a shoddy way. Should have been caught by Bob Sight when they purchased vehicle at auction. I contacted Bob Sight and they agreed to repair the vehicle at their own expense and gave me a loaner vehicle which shows how well they stand behind the vehicles they sell. The repairs were perfect and I highly recommend them for their auto body repair. Now comes my MAJOR complaint and something I'm still furious about!! ! I gave them my car to repair with a full tank of gas. I got it returned to me after repairs with less than a quarter tank of gas in it and over 300 miles had been driven on my car while they had it. Makes me so angry because I dropped my car for them to repair it to the condition it should have been in when I purchased it.. Not for employees to drive it all over town instead of their own vehicle. Was told that it's common industry practice for them to drive customers vehicles but I'm angry that they put so many miles on my car. I returned their loaner vehicle with a full tank of gas and I had driven less than 200 miles during the same time period. Was told I'd be reimbursed for the gas and 3 weeks later I'm still waiting for the check. Not sure I have any recourse except for this review and to warn others to expect your car to have a lot of additional mileage driven on your car while you drop it off for repair. . read more

We purchased a Transit about a two months ago (Used) and because our regular mechanic doesn't work on transmissions we brought it into the dealership. I already knew that there was a problem with the transmission but they still were going to charge $120 DOLLARS to tell me something I already knew. "The Transit needed a new transmission". It took them 24 hrs of having our vehicle before the diagnoses, then the sticker shock. $3900+ to replace and it could be more so the quote wasn't even capped. I called Precision and they would do it for a thousand less and they didn't charge $120 for the diagnoses lesion learned. I don't mind spending extra if I truly receive more, but this was a classic case of dealer overpricing. Shame on you guys, shame. read more

I have bought 6 cars from Bob Sight Ford over the past 10 years and I will never purchase another from them. Sales department is phenomenal, the service department is totally missing the service part of it. Had my brakes changed last year and they installed the caliper incorrectly which destroyed my rotor. It took 2 more trips to the service department for them to acknowledge that they had installed the brakes incorrectly and correct the issue. I am now having issues again with my 2019 King Ranch and having another shop correct the issues that Bob Sight created. I had Bob Sight Ford do the cam phaser recall on my 2019 F150 and when I received it back the belly pan was dragging on the concrete when they pulled it up. After they installed a new pan and I went on my way my truck proceeded to blow blue smoke and smell like burnt oil all they way home. I returned my truck to the service department where they informed me that the service technician had "chipped"(cracked) the valve cover and it was squirting onto the turbo causing the smoke and smell. Bottom line is that their service department is understaffed and full of underqualified technicians. I hope that Bob Sight not being willing to fix their mistake is worth the years of bad reviews and negative comments that I am going to tell every prospective customer you have. read more

Very disappointed with service. I scheduled an appointment to have a vehicle inspection done and that was all that I needed done. I waited with my 2 year old son for 2 hours and 8 minutes. This was my first experience with this dealer and it will be my last. I would not waste my time again waiting for service and when I do purchase a new explorer in the future it won't be from them. Is more than $500 to replace a seatbelt that stopped retracting on a 2014 Ford Escape reasonable?? It seems like my 23 year old daughter was taken advantage of. She's a med student living on financial aid and it seems every time she goes in there alone she's taken advantage of in terms of cost. Just made my sixth purchase from them. I've received a no pressure, good deal from them every time. Salespeople are laid back knowledgeable and professional. The Shop is also first rate, and honest. When you first get there you feel like you're being ignored. Then you realize that it's just the pleasant absence of some slick salesman humping your leg as soon as you step out of your vehicle, and that's how it's supposed to be. You get straight talk, and all the options from the service staff. I'd have given them five stars instead of four if it wasn't for the finance people. I used them for the first time during my last purchase (usually I bring my own funding or cash) and was not as impressed with them as I was with the sales, and service areas. I had to order s duplicate title for my trade-in and was encouraged by Denise (I think that was her name) to just give them 50.00 to order it for me, and that was what the state charged. I later found out it was less than twelve bucks, when I did it for another vehicle a couple weeks later. The price wasn't unfair (I guess), but it was dishonest and it left me with a sour taste in my mouth towards a top shelf dealership. Bottom line, I'd definitely recommend them to anyone on any budget to use them. read more

a minute ago We will no longer do business with Bob Sight Ford. After our car was totaled in Nov 2017, the dealership cancelled the extended warranty as of March 2018. Claimed it was to late to go back to the actual date totaled and delivered to their body shop. After multiple calls including Zach Sight, they refused. This was not a lot of money for them but was huge customer service blunder. Shawnee Mission Kia confirmed that they would cancel back to the date of loss and don't know why Bob Sight would do that. Not the place it was when Tom Sight was there. Cheap and petty. read more

He wanted to be clear that he's not opposed to calling the warranty company and did call them. He let me know that they can approve a loaner car thru the weekend. He was just waiting and seeing because he hoped the vehicle would be done and we wouldn't need one. I appreciate the call and the update on the loaner situation. Brian also wanted me to know on Tuesday he did explain to my husband which parts were being replaced. And he hoped it would fix the problem so the car would have been done on Wednesday if not for the software update with is held up at Ford Actual. It is possible that it wasn't clearly communicated to me from my husband. That is very likely. I appreciate the clarity and follow up. I believe they are making great efforts to solve my logistic issue. I understand service estimates are just that, "estimates." Ceteris Paribus: we wish it's done by the end of the day. An Army Family's Negative Experience with the Service Department BLUF: Clear your schedule and bring a book, you'll be here "another 30 minutes" for the next 4 hours. Bring your vehicle for service to hear "It will be done today," every day for a week. How about a loaner car? "NOPE, don't have them. And besides, I'm sure it will be done today." I am disappointed with my service experience. I'm disappointed with their business practices. And I'm disappointed with the lack of accurate information they provide. THE STORY My family recently purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion (31 May 2017) from Zeck Ford in Leavenworth Kansas. A minor inconvenience with ordering warranty parts kept the Fusion in the shop for a week. In that time Zeck employees provided us with a loaner car and even drove it out to our home in Lee's Summit Missouri. After fixing a warranty recall on the steering column, we took possession of the vehicle. I'm pleased with the measures Zeck took with our family's safety and convenience. Cut to 30 July 2017; the power steering cuts out on the Fusion. Having purchased the extended warranty, we limped over to the nearest Ford store, Bob Sight Ford. Sunday, we used the service drop box and left the vehicle overnight so that Monday morning the situation could be addressed first thing. Monday comes, and our service writer Brian says there are appointments and other vehicles ahead of ours and it might not get worked on today. Tuesday comes, and Brian says the techs can't figure out what's wrong. They are "working on it." (Whatever that means) Wednesday comes, and it's Brian's day off. Another Service Writer says they replaced the previous warranty recall on the steering but computer errors are still a mystery. At this point, I ask, "Since it's been in since Monday and it's still a mystery can we get a loaner?" This Service Writer says, "We don't have loaners." "You don't have loaners?" I mirrored. "No." was the reply. "Well, I'm looking at an online review right now where a customer claims she was given a loaner from your service department just this month. Did you cancel the program recently?" He replies, "Well, I don't know what to tell you." There is silence for a moment before he went on to say Ford doesn't provide them, we are outside of warranty, and he can't find our extended warranty information. Thursday comes, and Brian is back at work. I call at 07:30 to get a SITREP (Situation Report). Even though they open at 07:00 the tech isn't in yet, so Brian doesn't have answers for me. However, I found the extended warranty information over night and provided him the data. "My Beau is Army Reserves and has drill this weekend, and you guys have the car. Will you follow up on the extended warranty contract to put a claim in for a loaner vehicle." For the fourth day in a row, I was told all the reasons why they couldn't do their jobs, why they couldn't help me, why he doesn't like calling the warranty company, but that the car "SHOULD" be done by the end of the day. Brian doesn't think I need a loaner car. And for the "Nth" time I'm told, "I'll check on it." The good news is that as many times as I've called them in the past four days, they are starting to call me to follow up. The drama continues, the vehicle still in service and Army Reserve weekend looming closer. I could overlook the time frame if it seemed like they cared more about their customers than the process. But it seems like they care more about telling everyone the same verbiage than performing quality customer care. read more

My wife and I found a 2016 Ford Explorer we were interested in at Bob Sight Ford. We came in on a Saturday afternoon, met up with DW. He greeted us with the keys. We took it out and drove it around for about 45 minutes. He made it super easy to work with. He was a no BS type of salesperson. We got right down to negotiation and settled on a fair price for both parties. You can tell this guys just wants to be friendly and sell cars. He said yup we are (extremely rudely). I said ok then why does your sign and online say 8?? I've been taking my vehicles to Bob Sight Ford for several years now. I had my transmission replaced on my old Escape several years ago and was very happy with the service. Of course it was a transmission so it was expensive but I used one of their on-line coupons (every little bit helps). The service guys are super friendly. I went to buy a car from them when I wanted to get rid of the Escape but the sales man I talked to acted like he really didn't care if we bought a car there or not. It was in the middle of summer so super hot outside. He rode around the lot in a golf cart and when we would ask to see a certain car he would point to it and say there's one there, I'll meet you there. Without having anyone look at my car he said the best trade in he would get me was $2k so we walked away. Ended up getting $7k for the trade somewhere else. But I do like their service department. read more

I bought my car in may of 2017 with just over 20,000 miles on it. 2015 ford edge sport for $27,900. I had raised concerns over the purchase initially about the tires looking beat up (on the side wall) and low on tread, and a few dents on the hood. The sales person, Chris i believe, had said he would fix the dents but that the tires looked low on tread because "sport vehicles typically have lower profile tires which explains the tread". I knew this was false but I figured with just 20,000 miles on the vehicle that the tires couldn't be as bad as I thought. After finishing paperwork, I asked if the dents were taken care of on the hood and Chris said they were. Chris had left the building before I had a chance to see the car and the dents had not been taken care of. minor dents -- again, no big deal because I was excited for the new car. The worst problem was immediately after receiving the vehicle. I had noticed when driving at highway speeds, the vehicle would have a slight loss of speed (felt like a bad shift point). this problem continued to get worse until eventually my car started trembling down the highway forcing me to pull over. Luckily I was within the vehicles warranty (36000 miles) and it was able to be fixed for free, but it took the dealer 2 weeks to fix the problem. 2 weeks without my brand new car. It ended up being the brake controller -- but they replaced just about every component before getting to that. I went on to go get my vehicle licensed (I waited until I knew I didn't have a lemon). And it turns out that Chris, or whomever responsible, had never disclosed that the vehicle was out of state and did not provide me with the proper paperwork to get it licensed. Not even an inspection. I figured the packet of documents would've had that. Circle back to the tires that I thought looked beat up, and I blew out a tire on the highway, not repairable, just 9 months (and 16000 miles) after purchasing the vehicle. With an AWD vehicle, when one tire goes, they all go. You have to replace all of them (not just 2) to protect the drive train. so I'm out an additional $1100 bringing the vehicle price to $29,000. Why I didn't write a review before this occurred is beyond me. TL;DR If you are going to buy a vehicle, DO NOT BUY FROM BOB SIGHT FORD. They will do their best to sell you the car for what it is without disclosing any information or taking notice/action towards your concerns. They will even attempt to convince you that items you view as problems aren't actually problems. They are no better than the stereotypical dealership and I have had much better experiences with other dealers and salesmen. Good Luck to you all. read more

I've had several experiences with this Ford dealership and all of them have been wonderful. I have a 2014 Ford Fusion Energi and have had a couple of minor issues that have been fixed - one being that when I took it to the Ford dealership in Raytown it took them over 3 hours to fix a simple plug & they lost my car for over an hour. I have had no such experiences at Bob sight. Every time I've called everyone I've spoken to has been respectful, helpful and informative! One person in particular that I seriously cannot speak highly enough is Troy in the automotive repair department. I've had some issues with my tires and brakes and he was extremely helpful in trying to help me understand and was totally willing to explain things so that I truly understood what was going on. He gave me price references not only for their dealership but for others as well and he was extremely patient considering that I'm not well versed with cars and their functions. I would highly recommend this Dealership and I have to many of my friends and colleagues. Great job guys! read more
