I have worked with Nunez Construction to complete projects at my home. After contacting them,…read more they reviewed each project and submitted bids that were clear and concise and included genuine timelines and start dates. They were willing to work with my schedule and met me after work and on weekends when needed. After having them pour a beautiful slab for a new hot tub, moving a ton of dirt for me, and doing some hardscape around a pool, they were able to pour an amazing driveway with textured and colored details that make it a standout in my neighborhood. They poured a concrete pad for my pool equipment and then built a beautiful retaining wall that allowed me to raise my fence and increase its functionality and aesthetic. In total, six different design-build conponents of my home were successfully completed by Nunez Construction as well as some digging and dirt removal. I have been so satisfied with their quality, work ethic, and willingness to adapt that I have recommended them to family and friends and will continue to do so.

I keep going to these guys because they deliver good work, timely professional and the price is very reasonable. Instead of doing grass and a sprinkler system, which I thought was a lot more work, and just an enormous amount of maintenance. I decided to do Ivory Rock in the center of my lawn, and Sonoma gold, in the planter area, and the island in front of my house which used to have grass. The look of my front yard is so much more clean , minimalistic but elegant at the same time. I can confidently say that I have the best looking yard in my neighborhood. Good luck with your project if you decide to go with Grit landscaping.

My husband discovered Siale (the owner) on Instagram after searching through countless contractors…read moreand estimates. We reached out for a quote, and he responded promptly, coming out quickly (same day of request) to assess the space we wanted to renovate. He provided a detailed proposal with a clear breakdown of costs and installment plans based on project milestones--which worked perfectly for us. He also provides invoices upon request. The crew was fantastic. Demolition took just a day and a half, debris removal was done in a day, framing the next, and then concrete work followed--altogether about 4.5 days of solid work. Siale was also very considerate of our concerns, especially around trash day--he made sure the garbage truck could still access the alley, which we really appreciated. For us, communication was the top priority, especially with a project of this size, and Siale exceeded expectations. He regularly checked in, sent updates through videos and photos, and was consistently on-site, ensuring everything was done properly and to a high standard. Having an owner so hands-on made all the difference. I would highly recommend. thank you for all that you and your team did. we are very happy with the work especially under the heat circumstances.

This companys terms requested 80% ($4K out of a $5K) total job just for framing, leaving only $1000 to be paid at finish. Paying $4K out of $5K before any concrete is delivered or finished leaves buyer with zero leverage for job satifactory. When i explained this to the owner he accused me of disrespecting him and his business. I meant no disrespect but also explained that if he was not willing to follow CSLB and revise his terms, I was going to pass on his quote and go with another bidder that i had previous experience with. All I expect is licensed, honest and law abiding contractors who do whats legal and ethical!

Terrible experience -- $4,000 deposit and the project was abandoned…read more I paid a $4,000 deposit for a concrete project. Before I paid, he was very responsive and easy to reach. After receiving my money, he stopped answering my calls. I called him countless times, and he would only answer once in a while. He eventually sent someone to my property who pretended to work for about an hour and then quietly left. There was very little progress made. After that, he stopped answering my calls and messages completely and disappeared. I requested a refund, but he no longer responded to me, whether I called or sent text messages. I later checked the contractor's license number and discovered that the license number he provided did not appear to be valid. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend doing your own research and verifying the contractor's license with the California Contractors State License Board before paying any deposit.

I mostly told him, "dry pebble creek, drought tolerant plants, flowers, low maintenance, no lawn" and he delivered that and made it more than I'd hoped for. A few neighbors scared me as they drove by veeerrrrry slowly past my house, and then I learned they wanted to know who my landscaper was. I would have had more done, but didn't because finances. I've accepted that contracting comes with hiccups but to me it's about how someone stands by their work and customer service when things go wrong. Tom's team went above and beyond and repaired a few small things that broke along the way, and Tom's team put in some extra effort to work around my fence which I wanted to keep intact during the project. We did wind up with a leak issue, and while Tom is sometimes very busy and a little hard to get a hold of - he always got back to me eventually and resolved the issue, either immediately or within a few weeks. Last but not least, Tom's price was fair, and I really hope to hire him and his team again next year for some other projects! You will get a beautiful garden with Tom.
