First and last time.. Rude lady. Not even a good morning. When asked for the receipt she pull the paper like mad and gave it to me. People can have a bad day but customers are not to be treated rude. I'm from the area and won't visit them again. There are other donuts places close by which are super nice and friendly. As any frequent reviewer of my posts know, I like to periodically (annually) re-review my reviews as things can change. Sometimes businesses close, get bad, or sometimes, better. This is one of those posts. Yes, I know I've been bad about checking in, but I just had a son, so I've been a bit busy. Plus, since the Pandemic, we've been getting deliveries from here more than actually picking stuff up. Update! These are still some of the best donuts around. The shop is not fancy, but they know what they do well, and they focus on that, donuts. We've now lived and visited places all over the country, and eaten donuts from more places than a care to admit. I can still say that Lee's holds their own with all of them You can expect your standard fare of donuts, like donut holes, fritters, rolls, kolaches, and assorted breakfast beverages (i.e., coffee, juice, milk, etc.). They are all out of this world scrumptious. And, if you're not in the mood for donuts, check out their sausage rolls because they are equally great. The service here is always fast and friendly, which is needed for morning donut runs. After all, you don't want to be late because you picked up donuts for the office, but at least, they'll probably let it go when they taste the donuts. I really do appreciate their friendliness though because I am not a morning person. Do I recommend this place? Yes. As long as they are not too far of a drive, you should check Lee's Donuts out, especially if your local joint isn't amazing your taste buds. I was shocked how rude these people were. I went in to see if I should order from them and their prices looked ok. I said I would like to order 2 dozen sausage rolls and 2 dozen mixed donuts. Just adding in my head I was thinking about $30. The lady says $50 something. I asked what she had for my order and she repeated what I said. I said how could it be that much if... and I added up from the display menu. She said, "those are not the prices, they are years old". Wow! So I adjusted the order and spoke to her a while - her english is not very good, but I am not opposed to that. I said I needed them tomorrow at 8:15. She said ok 10:00. I said I needed to be somewhere with the order at 8:30... so she said ok 8:30... I said I need them at 8:15 to have them somewhere at 8:30. OK. She said I need to pay in advance. I was not too excited about that and asked if it was a requirement. She said yes. So I said ok, but if the order was not right and ready, I would write a bad review. The guy in the back came out and told me to get my donuts somewhere else. Suppose they did not need my $50 order or did not think they would be ready or that the order would be correct. This is the best donut shop in the South !! I've been coming here 30 years . Grew up in the neighborhood in the 90s. I'm so shocked how hunched over Mrs Lee is now !! Bless them . If I could give it a negative I would, not only did the woman at the counter acted as if she didn't want my business and there my change on the counter, the cinnamon roll was full of oil and not eatable. I just built a house in the area, and needless to say I won't be returning, I'm sure they don't care anyway. read more

The lady at the front forgot part of my order. When I was checking if everything was in the bag, I realized that she had forgotten some donuts. I went back inside I asked if she had left them somewhere in the back. However, instead of checking, she just got two more donuts and changed me for it. I love donuts, and I especially love Lee's Donuts. Each time I've gone in, I've been greeted with warmth. The shop is small but full in other ways :) The place looked so unassuming from the outside, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but wow. The breakfast rolls are insanely good, and the donuts are just my type. I think the yeast and the airiness is just where I like it. (Yes, I do have a donut problem). I went in one time looking for a chocolate cake donut, and the owner told me to come back later in the week, so just be aware, that they may not have a full variety everyday, but rest assured, what you pick out will be delicious. The parking lot can be tight if you're in a larger vehicle I usually have to park in the open parking lot. read more

Like many local donut shops, Lee's Donuts is an unassuming storefront in a bland strip mall. But despite the humble appearance, they have absolutely AMAZING donuts. The dough is fluffy, but full enough to chew, a bit like a croissant; if you like Krispy Kreme, you'll probably like Lee's. The cake donuts are especially delightful: they have a beautiful crumb, closer to coffee cake than pound cake, and just a touch of lemon that makes them a refreshing treat. The glazes are excellent, neither flaky not overly saccharine. The strawberry glaze tasted like frosting, and is my particular favourite. They have a good variety of glazes and donut types, including sprinkles, caramel, and a very understated but so, so delicious cinnamon sugar. Besides donuts, they have donut holes (yum), bear claws (cinnamon heaven), and sausage rolls (meh). The sausage rolls will be familiar to anyone who frequents kolache places, and the dough is perfect, but the sausage is lacking. They have plain and jalapeno versions, but the plain ones seem to be hot dogs with a cheese infusion, like you can buy at the grocery store. Disappointing. Stick with donuts, and you'll be happy! read more

We moved to Arlington 25 years ago. We have gotten donuts from Lee's too many times to count. Everyone in our family has their favorite, but we all love the glazed!! They are so awesome that we have taken them to our work b4 we retired. We have taken them to our grown kids houses in McKinney & Haslet, by request. They are the BEST! read more

Amazing doughnuts! I don't know how they do it but the texture of their doughnuts are so fluffy and filling. I ordered a cinnamon sugar doughnut and doughnut holes with sprinkles, the quality is outstanding. I recommend this over Krispy Kreme any day. Good job guys, keep it up! read more

these donuts are DELICIOUS -- however, every time we go there, despite getting the same donuts, the price is different. ranging from $7.50 a dozen all the way up to $11. definitely need consistency in pricing. read more
