Great haircut, man is a master craftsman. Excellent experience and conversation, just an old school shop.

The brothers are so nice.. both cut hair so well. This is a traditional barbershop where you meet real salt of the earth nice people .. and have nice conversations about politics .. sports and everything in between. Love the vibe! read more

Best cuts in town! If you're serious about your haircuts then this is the place. book ahead, get yourself in there. read more

Hey! I hope Andy reads this. Or Bob? Not Lee lol. I got a great cut here today. Had good conversations with everyone in the shop. New to the area and I'll go back for another good cut and some interesting political banter. read more

I am a customer in my mid-80's. An authentic Barber Shop as I recall it, from WW11. Friendly, low-key.....and excellent barbering. Enjoy, Mick. read more

The haircut was fine. I usually love chatting with a barber. It might be a good idea for the business to just stick a big MAGA sign in the window. That way patrons will know that instead of having a relaxing talk about the Giants there will be some guy yelling about conspiracy theories and immigrants while putting scissors to your head. If you are into that, that's great. For me it was most stressful time I have ever spent in a barber chair. Ugh. read more

The way a good ole' barber shop should be! It's walk in only and when I got there, he had one in the chair and another in line. It didn't take long before I was up and my haircut was solid and efficient. Friendly conversation about the history of the shop (started in 1933!) was a nice touch as I was in and out in no time. It was $35 cash (preferred) and well worth it. I will be coming back! read more

I think Andy did a very good job on my haircut. I plan on returning. I recommend him to my friends.

Do not go to this place. I would give it zero stars if I could. My son was looking forward to having his first barbershop haircut especially since things have been closed for so long, so we went yesterday. The guy did a total rush job, and before I could say anything, he had whipped the smock off and started sweeping his hair away. The back and sides were uneven, but since he had a customer waiting and we felt rushed, I didn't say anything at the time, which I wish I had. So this morning I call and get a different man on the phone, Andrew (run by two brothers). I start describing to him what happened, and he got huffy right away and said "I can't believe people who do this. What a way to start my morning with the customer complaining to me." Before I could describe to him why we walked out without saying anything, he hung up on me. After that, we got in the car and drove down there, and the guy who hung up on me had four customers in his shop (walk ins only). He had no idea who I was. A few minutes later, the other man who cut my sons hair walks in, recognizes us, and said "oh you guys are back". I asked him if he would be willing to clean up the sides and the back, and he did. The other guy who hung up on me kept looking over at us because he realized who I was, and was probably waiting for me to say something. Since I was with my son, I took the highroad and walked out of there not saying a word with my head high (believe me I wanted to say a few choice words), knowing karma will come back to him and I will never step foot in that shop again. I know people and businesses are struggling right now, so you'd think they would be gracious and respectful. read more

I don't know what Marie S is talking about. I saw her kid and he's lucky he came to Lee's. That kid would have ended up with his mums Karen cut if he'd gone anywhere else. Rob will give you the best hair cut you never knew you needed. Heaven forbid you get Andy and end up with an even better hair cut. read more

Andy and his brother Rob run the place. An old time barber shop for a haircut, not a styling. Friendly chatter if that is what you want.... or not. And then there is Sarge, sunning in the window looking for a belly rub from anyone nearby. All ages from 5 to 95 come here. read more

I take my sons to Lee's and as young men they love getting the full barber shop experience from the two amazing brothers that run this shop.

Thanks for checking in on us with Yelp. We are an old fashioned men's barbershop. My brother and I have owned and operated Lee's barbershop for ten plus years now. We are very happy to help keep Novato looking sharp. We don't take appointments. Heck, we don't even have a phone. Come on by and check us out. Say hi to Sarge read more

A very good place, a barber shop not a hair styling emporium. Also he's very nice and considerate to disabled folks. Plus I have seen him be great with kids. Recommended Update - the place is run by two brothers who really know how to cut hair. I had to wait this week (it's first come first served, as a true barber shop should be) and saw one of the brothers, sorry I forget their names, do four haircuts, all different, on men from 12 to 60. It was impressive. Plus they will, or won't (depending on what you want) talk to you ( not all barbers are so attuned to their client's wishes). Another plus, is the decor. The place is really an old time barber shop and it shows. And, if you are in a wheelchair as I am, they'll cut your hair while you are in your chair. Great haircut and the shop is immaculate. All Covid protocols are being followed. Great business!

Rob is a great guy. I went in here this morning to get a beard trim. He did a really great job and charged me $5. I gave him $10.

100% satisfied with my haircut. Rob was extremely helpful, considering I was looking for a new hairstyle that I hadn't tried before. I gave him some hints at what I was looking for and 15 minutes later I was leaving with the best haircut I've ever received. I'll be back in a few weeks! read more

Very - very - nice set of brothers. I got an excellent haircut. Quick, clean, efficient. Definitely a barber shop and not a hair salon. That was a good thing to me. Personable and experienced. I liked the result. read more

I finally found a place to get a good fade and there's only two barbers which is good because ill never have to explain how I want my fade to 10 different people like you do at all the salons and it was quick and they take credit/debit cards no inconvenient stop to the ATM needed read more

I love this place (just a shame I no longer live in the Bay Area). These guys know how to cut your hair and keep an interesting conversation going. The cool thing is, they're genuinely friendly - one perk of going to a small barbershop instead of say, Fantastic Sams or something like that. There was one occasion that I had come in for a haircut and to my huge embarassment realized that I hadn't brought my wallet with me (this was after I had already gotten the haircut). They were super cool about it and didn't give me any grief when I had to run home and get it. The guy who had given me my haircut (I wish I could remember his name!) even suggested to "just bring it next time you come in" (being someone that would rather not procrastinate on issues such as money, I ended up bringing it back right away). Needless to say, they turned what could have been a massively embarassing situation into one that earned my repeat business right up until I moved out of state. If you like that small town barber feel where people know you by name, get your haircut here. These guys deserve all the business they can get! read more

I have gotten my hair cuts there since moving to Novato. Either of the two brothers do a good job. The price is reasonable and unless you are fixed on a hair stylist, I highly recommend them. read more

These guys are the only place to get your hair cut in Novato. You want to look good for a good price, look no further. I even got a cut somewhere else in town recently when they were closed, and I ended coming back to have Andrew clean up the mess. And, Andrew has barber's scissors tattooed on his neck, how cool is that? read more

I cruised in hear needing a cut before a meeting then going out of the county. My regular guy closed early. I figured I'd give it a shot and I'm pleasantly surprised...I've been going there ever since. If you're looking for something classy, they'll do it. Something that the kids are doing these days...that too...give this place a shot, the old school vibe will leave a fantastic element of surprise. read more

Best baber shop in town. Had 2 cuts there by both brothers and I'm feeling the hair cuts. Super cool people, super nice and they got skills. Left happy both times. They're cool to talk with while they Michael Angelo your hair. One great thing they have a super nice dog that chills and you can kick it while you wait. They also have a dog that chills in the back and sleeps, more like a guard dog they said. That's cool with me too. I went to another barber shop in Novato before this and it was bad. Went home and had to buzz cut my hair and start over. Glad I tried this place. If you need a hair cut go here. read more

This place is as good as the other reviews say; great cut, friendly conversation, and a good price. Don't call the number listed on Yelp as it is actually the number of a very nice lady who isn't associated with the shop, rather just swing by without an appointment. read more

This place does a OK job at cutting hair, but don't think is worth 20$. I have had my hair cut here about 5 times now. Most of the time they will not be there or will close early. Mainly why they only deserve 3 stars. read more

Great traditional barber shop, I have been to four other places before I found Lee's. Good experience with my haircuts and also my sons. The key to a good haircut is explaining exactly what you want and from my experience I have been happy with the results. read more

My son loves this place. Never disappointed with his cut, great price and super friendly brothers. No brainier, no appt. necessary. If you have to wait, there's always a great conversation you can join in on or just chill in the vintage vibe. read more

I've been to a few barber shops in my life, but this place is one of few that does it right. The guy cutting hair (I'm embarrassed that I don't recall his name as he remembered mine) was friendly enough, he didn't muss around with all that fake excitement you get at a salon or other places. I told him what I wanted and he cut it the way I asked, no styling, no bs, just a clean haircut. What blew my mind is that it took him less that ten minutes using one comb, one pair of scissors, and a small clipper without an attachment. I was the only guy there he didn't know by name so I assume they get a lot of repeat business. Go there and see why. read more
