Lily unlawfully charged my credit card without permission. She had cut my hair for a year. It was a fine haircut - not horrible, not great. Expensive for the product. I have short hair and was always charged for 45 minutes even though it was never more than 30 min appointment. Of the 8 or so appointments I had Lily was constantly late - I would take her first appointment. Typically she was 5 minutes late but once she full on cancelled and once she pushed me back 30 minutes screen shots from her to prove it. She then had the audacity to CHARGE me for a service she didn't provide. She was ONCE AGAIN late and I had to leave after 10 minutes and no end in sight. She can fight over 5 min vs 10; but to text me she was going to charge me was insane. I just saw the charge on my cc show up which I'll fight as fraud with my credit card company. Lastly she decided to do some weird payments stuff with Venmo by asking her customers to pay Venmo and not put it as a hair cut. Venmo caught on and no longer accepts payment that way. read more

I'm a bit clueless about what I want in a haircut other than the type of haircut, and she made great decisions when I deferred to her on length etc. I recommend getting the lengthier time duration - it's obviously more expensive but she really utilized every minute and had great attention to detail. I had not visited a Mill Valley barbershop in some time and needed a good haircut. The barber was meticulous, very skillful with comb and scissors, and gave me a thorough and well-crafted haircut. I wasn't sure what to ask for, but she seemed to know what was needed and I got a flattering cut. She also finished up with a good shave with a straight razor on the back of my neck and around the edges, and also a nice hot-towel treatment. In all, an experience and an excellent look. On top of spending $85 for a haircut, now I gonna have to spend to get caps, coz I can't even step out with the horrible haircut that Lily gave me. Trust me, she rushed to attend the next customer that she gave me the worst possible haircut ever. To be fair, the sides and the back are fairly well but the front is just horrible. As a good service provider, the owner must allow a 10-15 leeway in between each appointment. I got to start 7-8 minutes delay than my appointment time. She has just jam packed the appointment schedule that even a minute or two delay causes delay to the next customer and it's absolutely unacceptable that I am the victim of a horrible haircut. Starting out, I was joyful that I have found a good barber but this was anti climatic. Edit: though I don't understand how this matters. I have 2 first names and I have different email addresses of mine signed up with yelp and google. What does it matter anyway, there's only one review each on yelp and google from my side. I never said I liked the haircut, I clearly said that it's shorter than I wanted. And I didn't 3 days, I said 3 weeks. - again, I still don't understand how any of this matters. Bottom line is, after I showed the picture of the haircut I wanted, the barber could've saved both of our time and hassle by simple saying that it requires more than 30 mins and not complain when it's convenient for them. I am pretty picky with my hair and I often find it hard to click with a barber. That was not the case with Lily. Lily is absolutely wonderful. I first met I first met Lily 5 years ago, where I had a more traditional haircut - I worked in an investment bank so I wanted to keep my hair conservative. I remember that being my cleanest cut ever. Then comes the 2020 pandemic, I grew and had long hair - she managed to trim my hair perfectly along with plenty advice on how to maintain/style it. Come 2023, I decided to chop it all off for a medium hairstyle, kind of like a 90s Johnny Depp/Leo DiCaprio look.
