If you would like a joyous occasion tainted by rudeness and incompetence, don't hesitate to hire Leenas. We can start with communication. The proprietor, Jessica, was consistently uncommunicative throughout the lead up to our wedding, requiring multiple followups to every outreach - before offering usually clipped, often difficult to understand, and more than once condescending responses. In fact, it was only after I relisted the project on Thumbtack (in desperation, two weeks before the wedding) that she finally responded with a signed contract. And oh what a contract... In retrospect, I should have walked away after first reading a document so chaotic, so preemptively defensive, and so rife with typos and garbled sentences. But I was busy planning a wedding, and the price was right. My mistake. But hey, bad communication can be forgiven when followed by great service, right? Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Our "Essentials Package" called for two bartenders and two service staff. What we got was Jessica... and her three VISIBLY UNDERAGE CHILDREN. I'm all for an intergenerational family business, but watching a boy who looked like he just made the jump from cub scouts to boy scouts try and move a rack of glassware between bars, a girl who looked like she should be considering college applications next year get a real time lesson from guests on the difference between tonic water and club soda, or a boy who looked like he just traded a learner's permit for a real driver's license try and back a pickup truck out of a crowded parking lot isn't super comfortable or confidence inspiring. When Jessica herself wasn't pushing un-requested tequila shots on the bride (and taking them herself...), she was being short with guests, complaining about various aspects of the setup that - while I can understand posed a slight challenge (e.g. keeping two bar locations stocked during the cocktail hour) - would have been easy to problem solve had the staff been even semi-professional adults instead of children who could not operate independently. As icing on the cake, With an hour left in the party guests were told the bar was out of water and running low on beer, but when we cleaned up, we found nearly 100 unopened beers and close to 10 liters of water. At the end of the night, Jessica demanded additional gratuity of $200 dollars per staff member (who, if I haven't mentioned, did not not seem remotely old enough to have their own bank accounts), on top of the $150 in the tip jar. That's a total of $950 on an event fee of $1925... or ~50% gratuity. I paid it to avoid a scene on my wedding night, and had it not been for sympathy on behalf of the hardworking kids put in an impossible position by their mother, it would probably be among my life's great regrets. Jessica might be able to handle the bartending needs of a 12th birthday party, but if you want a good experience at anything more complex, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Bartender, Jessica Moorehouse, +1 (413) 658-5841, visibly intoxicated. Walked in and started barking orders to my wedding party including the bride. When she found out later she was the bride, there were some racist comments about how she thought she was someone else. Drinks were poured to the absolute top of the rim so much so people would spill the drink when they walked to their table. Drinks were poured into glasses that had a bit of wine left and accidentally poured prosecco, when guests mentioned she poured the wrong drink she would say something along the lines of "ah whatever". No taste, not professional, incredibly hard to get a hold of once the wedding approached. I would ask five questions and only get one question answered in reply when we were in the planning phase. During the event she came up to multiple guests as if she was part of the wedding herself, and would share her photos about how she is also a freelance photographer and show random photos taken with her iPhone, butting in to interrupt guests of the wedding. Desserts were not her responsibility and was told by multiple guests "why on earth the bartender was fisting desserts onto people's plates". Jessica multiple times tried to corral people onto the dance floor or to the bar for liquor shots or other scenarios in which she had absolutely no skills to read the room or leave once guests had to turn their back towards her to avoid speaking to her. The other bartender, Juan was great, and Jessica also came out to serve drinks at the tables which was not contracted so an extra star for that. Overall, an incredibly stressful experience and she also hustled me at the end (which obviously I didn't want to deal with her anymore) - about the tip jar not being enough for her and now I have to cover 30% PLUS $1.5 per guest, even though the contract stated if I provided a tip jar, then the $1.5 per guest is nullified. Also, she requested that tip from all guests even though half the bar was self serve soft drinks and beer, and 25% of the guests didn't drink. She was contracted to clean up and did not clean up. She also left thirty minutes early as soon as she received her tip. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

Although the bartender and staff member we hired for our wedding performed their basic duties, their conduct regarding tips was dishonest and highly unprofessional. At the end of the night, they falsely claimed there was only $65 in the tip jar, despite the fact that I know several family members had already tipped large amounts throughout the evening. Many of my family were bartenders themselves, so I knew they would tip generously, and was later informed that they received $100 each at the very beginning of the night by my cousin. What was most upsetting was being told to "feel free to count it" -- in the middle of my own wedding -- as if I were being stingy after going to tip them additionally ourselves at the end of the night. A family member over heard this and then proceeded to tip them each $200 because she did not understand what was going on and thought we were lacking funds. They took this without hesitation, after lying to us and hiding money from the tip jar. On a day that should have been about love and celebration, their dishonesty was so disheartening. We did the the owner know what happened and she apologized. However, that doesn't rectify the fact that the company scammed our family out of hundreds of dollars by being dishonest. If you are looking for a stress free and honest event, please look somewhere else. I would truly hate to know that this happened to another family during a celebration or major life event. read more

Leena's Bartending provided services for my wedding in Hudson, NY. The bartenders were prompt and professional and handled some challenging logistical situations that were outside of their control with grace and courtesy. The drinks were delicious and the service was great. Working and planning with Jessica was easy. I would heartily suggest hiring them for your event! read more

used them for a my wedding paid for 2 bartenders second bartender showed up 2 hours late. Gave them a list of the alcohol that we agreed upon which they did not bring any of it they brought all off brand stuff I've never heard of, ran out of vodka in the first hour. They were supposed to bring water 2 kinds of wine all the sodas and mixers which they did not. There was no water, no wine, ran out of beer multiple times, off brand soda which they also ran out of multiple times. Had to Uber eats order water and soda, limes and lemons in the middle of the party. Also acted completely unprofessional about the entire situation. Hired them for a my wedding we payed for 2 bartenders the second bartender showed up 3hours late. We had an agreed upon list of what would be brought and served by the bartenders and they did not bring ANY of it. They brought all off brand drinks that I've never heard of and ran out of multiple drinks within the first hour. They were supposed to also bring water, different red and white wines, all the sodas, garnishes and mixers but they did not bring ANY. There was no water, no wine, ran out of beer multiple times, off brand soda which is not what was agreed up on and they also ran out of it multiple times. BEWARE... If you want to sign a contract, leave a deposit, confirm with them the day before the event, and have them COMPLETELY NO-SHOW, then hire Jessica Morehouse dba Leena's Bartending & Catering (413-658-5841). I hired them for a 6 hour event for bartending and waitstaff with 50 guests, they FAILED to show up, left us high and dry, and the owner Jessica didn't even respond to phone calls and emails (instead texting hours later that she has a 3000+ engagement - apparently she prioritized that over clients like us). Then, Jessica held on to the deposit too for weeks and didn't pay a dime for damages she caused for material BREACH of CONTRACT. My advice, stay clear. read more

I hired Leena's Bartending for my wedding 8/20/2023 and even though a contract was signed & deposit was made, she never showed up to the event. Worse, she never contacted me, is ignoring my calls and e-mails, and never sent my refund. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

Working with this company was an absolute pleasure from creating the menu to set up and clean up after the event. Both wait staff and bartenders were extremely professional, helpful and both went above and beyond all expectations. Our guests raved about the food and service!! No apology and no response to phone calls just texted us "she is working on it"...and didn't even bother to update us. Attended a wedding this past Sunday where Jessica and another associate of her's were the bartenders. Shortly after we finished the send off for the bride and groom, the bartenders followed carrying their table down the stairs. To be clear, there were only 5 stairs and not steep. Jessica dropped the table down the first step. I simply thought it was due to clumsiness until she dropped the table again after the second step. Her partner asked her "are you good?" In a tone similar to one used by a friend carrying another friend out of a bar who enjoyed too much "sauce." Jessica responded "yes, just stop pulling as we go down the stairs." However this was clearly slurred speech, and she had issues gripping the table to pick it back up. Turns out Jessica had been seen by several guests including the bride's mother in-law, mother, enjoying shots of liquor with the happy couple. The bride's sister in-law whom after Jessica and her partner made it to their car shouted "maybe don't drink so much or at all at the next wedding!" Other guests leaving mentioned Jessica had attempted to over charge a few guests for drinks upon closing out their tabs as well. After witnessing this and hearing what I've heard from others who attended, I would not recommend or use Leena's Bartending and Catering. read more
