It's easy to fall asleep whether you are in the relaxation room or during a treatment. My granddaughter really wanted to get a massage but was a bit uncertain so we opted for the duet massage. We were in adjoining rooms with an accordion door that opened up so we could enjoy the massages together. The ladies did such a good job on us. We left feeling very relaxed. My granddaughter had a facial and her skin was absolutely glowing afterwards. She was happy to have had it done and kept talking about how soft her skin felt. We had lunch at Kensington's. We shared a delicious appetizer of Korean fried chicken. For lunch she ordered the steak frites and enjoyed every morsel. I had the caprese flatbread, which was delicious and light. Perfect for a day at the spa. We enjoyed the amenities they offer very much. There is a pool, hot tub and sauna to use throughout your visit. They offer complimentary snacks in the afternoon just outside of the spa entrance. She was so relaxed that she slept most of the 45 minute drive home. I'm so glad they allow 14 year olds there. My granddaughter wants to make this an annual event each year. She thought it was nice to walk around all day in a robe as well as enjoying everything the Spa has to offer. We also did the afternoon tea, which was absolutely lovely and a good value. Our hotel room was clean, comfy, modern, and spacious. The spa facilities were also extremely clean and well kept, with the ladies locker room stocked with everything you could ever need. Every staff person we dealt with from the hotel to the restaurants to the spa was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the hot tub/sauna/steam room area.. yes, it was crowded a few times but I noticed that crowds in both the pool and hot tub areas tended to clear quickly and several times I had both to myself! I especially appreciated the thoughtful little touches everywhere, like cold washcloths available for post-sauna cooldowns and fresh flowers all over the place. The vibe was extremely relaxed and I appreciated that when staying in the hotel you get full use of the spa facilities even on check-out day. We had breakfast and lunch at Kensington's and also had the afternoon tea. Everything was delicious!! Good cocktails too. I wished the indoor pool had been larger to better accommodate busy times, and the spa treatments are definitely on the pricey side, but those are about the only two criticisms I can come up with about this place! Going to Mohegan this is probably the closest hotel. They have a free shuttle on weekends so that's a plus as well. As for the hotel itself, it's smaller, just 4 floors. Seems older but the rooms seem updated with a bit of wear on the furniture. Forget about looking out your window because the area is a bit sketch. The hotel itself is lacking a restaurant and bar so if you want to chill there it's not gonna happen. They do have a complimentary breakfast with was average at best, but good enough. The rooms are large, not sure if they are all the same but you enter into a nice living room with a flat screen and a fridge and microwave. The latter two kind of awkwardly placed facing the tv and the room door. Sleeping area while separated has no privacy from the living area with a very large entrance. Nice though with its own even larger tv. Bathroom decently sized. Biggest complaint other than the lack of amenities was we were literally in our room for less than10 minutes when the night manager came knocking on our door saying they had a noise complaint. Welp it was just the two of us and other than kicking off my sneakers we hadn't even settled in yet. When I explained we just got back to the room and there is no way we were making any noise she said to just keep it down. Not a way to make a Bonvoy member feel welcomed. Will we go back? Depends on if I have to pay or not. Not an awful place by any means but probably towards the bottom when in comes to Marriott hotels.

I spent yesterday at the Mohegan Sun Bridal expo as both a vendor and bride-to-be. My fiance has a…read morephotography business, so we reserved a booth to promote his wedding packages and ended up meeting some wonderful couples. Overall, the expo was much better than any other wedding conventions I've been to. Usually I absolutely hate them but this time around, I actually met a few vendors that I'll keep in mind when my wedding rolls around next year. On the vendor side of things, the Mohegan staff could NOT have been more fantastic to work with. Load-in was seamless with plenty of carts available to transport our setups, and breakdown was a bit chaotic but overall quicker than expected. The organizers provided their cell numbers beforehand and were remarkably helpful and easy to get in touch with. We will definitely participate again next year!

The…read morespace is huge and easy to find, connected easily to the casino and hotel areas of the building, so accommodations are easy to find and access. The bathrooms are large, often cleaned, and weirdly I really like the specific type of Scott toilet paper and paper towels they use haha, they're soft and work well. What's making me take off some points are the food options when they cater an event here. The team is so fast and efficient at moving tables in and out, but the meals are a hit or miss for me. My favorite was the Mexican good adjacent rice bowls served for lunch (there was even an Impossible Burger protein option, which I loved as a vegetarian who hates mushrooms - shitakes were another veg protein option for this meal). The no meat egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was also pretty good, and you could tell the egg was real and fresh and fried nicely. The worst meal was the cold cut sandwich bar - maybe my company just made a mistake in ordering this since it really underwhelmed guests and everyone I talked to, but there was no non meat version. When I flagged down a catering staff member to ask if they had anything in the back, he just recommended I eat the grilled carrots on a bun as my sandwich ...ew, what? That's not a meal, and they normally provide a vegetarian option upon request at events like these if nothing is already out on the table. He then talked to his supervisor, a blonde woman in narrow glasses who had a sour facial expression on every time I saw her, and she gave pretty much the same answer. Neither of them pointed out the vegetable soup that was available but hiding on the other side of the room. I eventually found it and it was good although a little too spicy, but nobody else knew it was out either. Service from the food staff leaves room for improvement for sure.
