The property has been doing great and accumulating lots of equity over the years, but I wasn't quite satisfied with the other property management company I was using at the time. A few years ago I switched over to using Marshall Reddick for property management, and they have been extremely proactive in maintaining all aspects of my property, from tenant coordination to maintenance/repairs and everything in between. I still check my statements and invoices, but my confidence in the team's ability to manage my property means I don't need to go over every line-item and check for mistakes, which is something I've had to do with property managers in the past. Everyone on the team has been super responsive with email communication which is very important to me as a landlord. Whenever there is a maintenance or tenant-related decision to be made, someone from the management team presents me with clear-cut options in a timely manner. I rarely have to do my own research because someone from the team already has, and this means I don't have to spend time looking into something that's outside my wheelhouse. I can totally rely on them to get the job handled. Aside from the Round Rock property, I also have a property in Phoenix that I purchased through Marshall Reddick in 2011 and I'm happy to say that both properties are still doing excellent! We have rats in the dryer due to their being no vent covers in the house (per the person they sent) now they say it's our issue. Never rent a property with them, you'll be living with leaks, mold and rats . They also sent the most unqualified people to try and fix things.
