I brought my 2008 Honda Odyssey in because it had a transmission fluid leak and the transmission was hesitating to shift, staying in gears longer than it should before eventually shifting. After inspecting it, I was quoted approximately $2,700 for a replacement transmission. I specifically asked whether repairing the leak instead of replacing the transmission was an option, and I was told it would cost around $1,500. I decided to get a second opinion. The second mechanic found that the issue was corroded transmission lines. He repaired the lines for under $300, and the transmission is no longer leaking and now shifts normally. I'm sharing my experience because I think it's important for people to know that getting a second opinion can save them a lot of money. In my case, what I was led to believe required thousands of dollars in repairs was resolved with a repair costing less than $300. Based on my experience, I would recommend getting another opinion before authorizing a major transmission repair or replacement. read more

I took it in for the oil seal and the so-called mechanic ,mole told me I needed an alternator and a battery it turns out I need it neither that my car had a parasitic drawer in the alarm system and to detect that he charged me $500 what can I say I never been to a service station it did not know what they're doing they have no experience mechanics and more instead of taking it as a challenge like a great mechanic would he took it as an obstacle and said the car is old stay away from these people they have no honor no respect read more

I brought in my car to Ahmed after I started experiencing shuttering and other problems, which i believed to be transmission issue. I was told that it's likely a transmission issue, and that they were very familiar with it. I was told that the car would be repaired in about a week. It ended up taking over a month to have the car ready for pickup, and communication was extremely poor. I'd send multiple follow ups without a response. Once the car was ready for pickup, it turned out that the car wasn't even close to being fixed, and had a fair amount of other issues that they failed to bring to my attention. Yet they still took $3000 dollars from me in cash. Moe claims that they stand by their work, yet i have video evidence of the horrible condition it's still in. Make sure you do your due diligence and read reviews, as it was my mistake to trust this place. they are extremely shady, even Ahmed told me to keep it quite about paying him $1000 deposit to start working on the car, i believe he wanted to keep this quite from Mo so he could make some extra cash. STAY FAR AWAY, DONT TRUST THESE GUYS! read more

These people told me that i would have my part within a week and AL failed to deliver. He told me that he had an INSIDE man that could get him the part before the dealer could get it, that shit never happened. The weeks later i walked into their office in person only to discover that AL apparently was hurt in some incident and was also going thru some personal issues AT HOME. I waited for a call, a somple call to explan what the issue was. Three weeks later and just before the labor day weekend I met MOE. He seemed honest and he was apologetic about what has happened to me over the last three. He said that i should give him a chance to rectify the situation. WELL, the asshole failed, I told him that i would give him a chance even thought the dealers had called me the day before and told me that MY part had arrived. This asshole called all the local JEEP dealers to try and get his hand on the part that i had just turned down because HE MOE sias that he could have the part by friday morning Sept. BRAH, AL had my jeep the ENTER LABOR day weekend from AUG 28 , 2025 until SEPT 3, 2025. THESE PEOPLE CANNOT BE TRUSTED, I order to avoid serious issues, i contacted my CREDIT CARD COMPANY and they will deal with them directedly. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE FUCKING SCUMBAGS. read more

I arranged a ride to work when I dropped off my car and expected to get a call about the work that needed to be done. I didn't hear from anybody so at 4 PM. I called them and was told they were still looking at it, but also told me what was wrong, which means they had already looked at it, but it didn't contact me. No work was done And I had to pay an Uber to go back after work to retrieve my car. It was a holiday weekend so I didn't expect to hear back from anyone until the following Monday. I didn't hear anything so I emailed the owner and again didn't hear anything back. I emailed him again the following day saying if he doesn't want to take the work to. Please let me know so I can move on and never heard a word. Was waste of time and Uber money and all I got was the run around. I would not recommend this place unless you enjoy having your time wasted. read more

White glove service offered at a fair price. Shop kept me informed every step. Service was an emergency and car was dropped off without issue of adding it to their booked up schedule. Full transmission rebuild performed To turn off engine light. Was able to install upgraded aftermarket torque converter before finalizing the repair. All mechanics very competent to discuss repairs without confusion. Very satisfied. Highly recommend their services. read more

DIshonest business. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Trans fluid change ended up WAY more expensive than the dealer. I am a handy guy and could have changed it in about 90 minutes but its a messy job. Tried Barry's service and was shocked with their transmission experience and shop it allegedly took 3 hours at $150 hr. They must have sat there watching the fluid drain or had lunch at my expense. Was told I could not wait there for fluid change as it needs to cool down before they can drain then after he completed and presented me with huge bill Barry claimed they started on it at 8:30......but I had only dropped off at 9:00? read more

My go-to mechanic reccomended this place when the transmission on my old car went. My beloved Explorer went to Lee's for a complete transmission rebuild and came back "fixed." Now believe me when I tell you that I am NO car expert. I am, in fact, on the opposite side of the spectrum. I decipher cars by colors and shapes ("The one that looks like a toaster or the one that looks like an Easter egg?") and car problems by the lights that come on on the dash. But I could TELL something was not right when I got the car back. SO after footing a $2,000 bill the newly rebuilt transmission died after a week while on a trip up to Massachusetts on I-95 while I was in the left lane. I incurred a $400 tow bill from Warwick, RI back to NJ. Soooo not ideal. I got the excuse that a part was faulty. Fine, we'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt, especially because they fixed it at no additional cost. But giving me the car back even when it so obviously was not 100% ok? Not cool, Lee. Not cool. read more

They put the wrong fluid in a complete rebuild and it burned within 6 months. When faced with the residual results they ran the other way. Don't let these sleezebags work on your car. They refuse to fix their fuck ups. read more

I stopped by this shop for the first time today to have my Honda Pilot checked out. I thought I had a transmission problem, and feared that after almost 200,000 miles I would be in for a major repair. I was very pleased to find out that it was not a transmission problem after all. The shop owner was a really nice guy, hooked up a scanner to check for codes, and took it for a test drive with me. He definitely ruled out the transmission, and gave me some advice as to how to resolve the issue. I was pleasantly surprised that he did not charge me for the diagnostics and his time. It's hard to find an honest repair shop nowadays. This one is a rarity! They could have easily recommended a transmission overhaul to make some money, but gave me an honest diagnosis. I greatly appreciate their help and for saving me big money! I will definitely go back to this shop when the need arises. Thank you!!! read more

These guys have rebuilt my transmission and replaced my front axles. I took my car somewhere else for both of these repairs and was quoted a much higher price. I just had some repair work done on my car with a major chain, and they did horrible work. I brought my car in to Lee Myles today and they not only went with me on a test drive to hear the issues in my car but offered to rotate my tires, which were installed and not balanced properly. They didn't even charge me. This is a family run garage, and everyone knows what they're doing. Avoid the hassle and run around with the chain, support local small business, and get it done right the first time the people who are easy to deal with, friendly, respectful, and know the business. read more

Life Savers and Truly legit guys here at Lee Myles Paramus NJ. Right away Barry (the owner) and his son (JR.) made me feel comfortable and important. They didn't make me wait hours or days to look at my car, they looked at it right away. I was in a jam just before the holiday weekend and when others said no, Barry & his son said yes!!! Barry & his son took charge right away diagnosing my Jeep's problem and started working on it even before I left their shop. JR was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and made you feel like you would be leaving your car in very good hands. These guys really know their business and because it's family owned & run, their reputation is on the line and they aim to please and not to fail you. My car was ready on time and they saved me a very big headache. Would I use them again? Absolutely 100% in fact I'm true to my word because I just came from their shop today, Having a few more things done and when I got there again Barry took care of me instantly, he even went as far as giving me a ride to the mall while I waited for my car to be ready. I walked around a bit planning out my day there, but I didn't even get to eat or do much of anything when Barry called to tell me that my car was ready. These Guys are really great. I don't want to have to go to a mechanic but if I do at least I know I found one that really cares about their customers and knows how to fix just about any automotive issue you may have. Thanks again so much Barry and Junior, you treated me like one of the family :) read more

Barry and his team are always super helpful. Highly recommend using them if you live in Bergen County or North NJ.

Three times now in the last couple months my 87 Cherokee has found itself in Barry's lot and all three times I've been more than satisfied with the care that goes into fixing my Jeep. My dad sent me to Barry because of the year of my vehicle, most mechanics and shops don't want to mess with my can of worms, but the guys at Lee Myles never have any hesitation. There's a lot that goes wrong with these older vehicles and I won't take my Jeep anywhere else! Hopefully its a while before I see them again but it's always good and fair business! Thank you for keeping my baby alive. read more

I noticed some trouble with my f-150 downshifting when trying to pass on the highway. I was reluctant to bring it somewhere to get checked out, but did not want to get stranded either. A friend suggested to talk to Barry at lee Myles in Paramus. I dropped my truck off Tuesday evening, the problem was troubleshot and diagnosed Wednesday and was promised by Friday. Barry kept his promise and did a nice neat professional job. I would highly recommend this family owned business. Thank you for a great job! read more
