They take the time to explain everything clearly, never rush appointments, and always make me feel confident that my dog is in the best hands. It's clear they genuinely care and truly love the animals. Over the years, they've been reliable, compassionate, and thorough through both routine visits and more stressful situations. Having a vet you trust completely makes all the difference, and I'm very grateful to have found them.

Truly a shame. We've come here a few times with our cats and our experience with Dr. Kiani has…read morealways been amazing. My cat was in last week with Dr. Kiani for some behavioral things to address and exposed his anal glands when getting examined. Since then, I've noticed some dripping at home so I called the vet. They suggested I bring him in ASAP. Flash forward to today and my experience could not have been worse. Dr Colon made me feel stupid and disregarded. She told me I was confusing the anal gland problem with diarrhea. She did a rectal exam and my cat was FREAKING out and to have to watch that was awful as his mama. I started crying and she made me feel bad for that. I felt like she didn't care about me or my baby at all. We will unfortunately not be coming back to this vet. Besides the awful experience today, I always wait longer than an hour no matter the time and it's very expensive. Such a shame because the nurses are great, Dr. K is wonderful and the front desk is kind, but Dr. Colon ruined our experience. I highly suggest avoiding this place or at least Dr. Colon if you can.

They took the time to listen, explained everything clearly, and made sure we felt supported throughout the visit. You can tell they truly care about the animals they treat. If you are dealing with a sick or dying dog, have a disability, or rely on a service dog, I would…read morestrongly warn you against using Inwood Animal Clinic. I was a long-time client, and this last experience was disturbing enough that I've ended the relationship completely. In my view, this clinic is very quick to upsell and mark up fees when clients are vulnerable and under time pressure. I came in on 5/5/26 for an international health certificate and USDA endorsement for my psychiatric service dog. I sent all information up front, including that I have a documented disability and a prescription for a psychiatric service dog. Instead of handling that professionally, staff repeatedly talked to me as if I was trying to "game the system," saying things like "when people come, they bring a letter," and pushed back when I tried to preserve some privacy. Once I did provide the letter I had the entire time, the owner's first move was to try to add extra, unrelated services that were not required, and then imply she'd "mark things OK" on the certificate as if she was doing me a favor. The invoice tells its own story: $81 for the exam and $17 for medication, but then $189 for the "International Health Certificate," $238 for "USDA electronic endorsement VEHCS," and another $189 for "USDA Rabies Certificate Endorsement," for a total of $714. USDA's own fee schedule for endorsement is far lower than what they labeled as "USDA" endorsement charges, and they had already added a separate clinic fee for their services. In my opinion, that is an outrageous markup of what are presented as federal endorsement costs, especially when a disabled client is relying on them to follow the rules. The endorsement itself was processed by the USDA the same day it was submitted on 5/5. I did not hear anything from the clinic on 5/6 or 5/7 -- no proactive update, no documents, and no word about the "refund" they had told me I might receive depending on what USDA charged. I had to chase them for basic information and for copies of documents that I needed, regardless of any fee dispute. Only after I escalated did I get a voicemail from the owner claiming they had been "disputing with USDA," which had never been communicated earlier. The office manager also tried to tell me the VEHCS system "asks for a letter" as if that justified their resistance, when in reality the system requires the vet to answer whether the dog is a service animal and what tasks it's trained to do. I've seen the system myself. The way they handled this felt less like a good-faith attempt to follow federal rules and more like protecting their markup. This isn't a one-off. When my previous elderly dog was seen shortly before she passed, I was presented with a workup of bloodwork, X‑rays, and other tests around $1,000, and then given a verbal cancer diagnosis almost immediately after the X‑rays, before blood results could reasonably have been reviewed. I never received a call with those blood results. Even though the same owner accommodated me when I couldn't be present for euthanasia, none of that history translated into any sensitivity or accommodation this time around. To be clear, I'm willing to pay for the actual exam and medication. I've disputed the remaining $616 in certificate/"USDA" charges with my bank and will take it to small claims court if I have to. In my view, this clinic mishandled a straightforward request, overcharged heavily for endorsement-related items, and treated a disabled client as if they were trying to get away with something instead of providing clear, honest service. I've since moved to a different vet who was able to handle the paperwork promptly and transparently. I would recommend anyone with a disability, a service animal, or international travel needs to think very carefully before trusting Inwood Animal Clinic with critical paperwork or relying on them for clear, upfront pricing.

They even gave me a discount for my cat's first set of shots, which I really appreciated. The staff was kind, welcoming, and took their time explaining everything throughout the visit--I never felt rushed. The only thing they could improve on is time management. My appointment was scheduled for 12:45, I arrived a little early, but I wasn't seen until around 2:00 PM, so the wait was about an hour and 20 minutes. Overall though, I would definitely recommend them. I only paid $200 for my kitten's first vet visit, which is a huge plus compared to other vet prices I was quoted. Pricing was very upfront with no hidden fees. I'd say give them a try I'll be back. This is the Webster location !

If you love your pet, please stay away from this office…read more This place is extremely expensive for no reason. THE ENTIRE STAFF IS INCOMPETENT. The visit alone cost a whopping $430 with no clear action plan, poor customer service, and little to no communication afterward. I am still waiting to hear back from them and still waiting for clarity regarding my cat's condition and treatment plan. Thank God I did not purchase the Trazodone through them. They wanted to charge me $29 for it, while another veterinary office charged me only $4 for the exact same medication. I only brought my baby here because of an injury, and I was forced to seek another opinion because my cat is still limping and still in pain. Dr. Katz misdiagnosed my cat said she was fine! DR. KATZ NEEDS A TRANQUILIZER OR TO BE PUT TO SLEEP! Dr. Katz was very condescending, dismissive, impatient, and frankly unpleasant in his approach. His staff appeared disorganized and ill-prepared. Their excuse for failing to provide proper discharge paperwork and medical clarity was that their system had been down for THREE PLUS DAYS. That is completely unacceptable for any medical office, especially one handling the care of vulnerable animals. Their system feels just as outdated as Dr. Katz's approach to patient care and communication. To this day, I still do not even know my cat's accurate weight or why medications like amoxicillin and prednisone were included without a thorough explanation. On top of everything else, I later realized they had provided me with another client's discharge information while I was trying to get clarity on my own cat's paperwork. That level of disorganization is deeply concerning. HIPAA VIOLATION AND THIS WAS REPORTED TO THE AUTHORITY! SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN! It is incredibly frustrating dealing with poor communication, incompetent record management, and a lack of compassion while your pet is suffering and you are desperately looking for answers. Appointments mean absolutely nothing here. Expect to wait as though you walked in without one. The level of care and communication toward pet parents is honestly unacceptable. The only positive experience I had was with Dr. Angel, who handled my cat gently and compassionately. Pet owners deserve transparency, professionalism, proper communication, compassion, and real medical guidance when their animals are hurting. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere.
