I had my wisdom teeth removed (all 4 at the same time, ouch haha) a few weeks ago and the care I received from the entire staff was top tier. My surgery went very smooth, aftercare was explained thoroughly, and billing was a very simple process. I was also quoted and paid a pretty low price, so that was a very nice bonus as I expected to pay much more. Post op follow up appt was optional and I opted out initially as I thought my recovery would be easy. I was wrong (sadly haha), and in some pretty good pain still about a week post op, which isn't super typical for WT removal. I made a quick phone call to the office and was scheduled the very next day for a follow up just to make sure no dry socket or anything awry was happening. I was reassured everything looked good and just needed to give it some more time. Thankfully now I feel great - just harder healing process because I'm "old" to be getting my WT out ;) I should mention that aftercare (visits, meds, etc) post op was included in the price of the treatment. I was urged by all staff to come back if/when needed and it was nice to feel like I wasn't being burdensome. I even got a check in the mail for a refund for part of my treatment because my insurance covered more than anticipated - really refreshing to see such honest bookkeeping! They completed dental work that they knew would not be covered by my insurance and when I asked them to submit a new claim the said that "Dr. Young needed to send a letter to the insurance pleading on your behalf". The insurance company never received any such letter and now I am stuck with an outlandish bill for someone with dental insurance. Do not go to this company unless you want to get scammed. I will also be reporting them to the CA Dental Association and submitting a grievance to my insurance company to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Very disappointing.

All of my wisdom teeth were impacted and there was a good chance of both nerve and sinus damage. I also have TMJ trouble that causes lockjaw regularly. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to surgery day. Day of surgery, Dr Wang made sure to walk me through all the prep before putting me under (even used a topical numbing spray so I didn't feel the IV!) I'm now 7 days post-op and didn't need anything stronger than ibuprofen to get me through. The efficiency was incredible--he removed two fully erupted top wisdom teeth and two horizontal impacted ones in less than 40 minutes under general anesthesia. The recovery was just as smooth; my son was pain-free by the second day using the provided ice pack and post-op instructions. The prescription was sent directly to the pharmacy, making the whole process seamless. His recovery was so fast that he was able to attend his first year of college just three days after surgery! I also loved the office layout, which includes a discreet side door to wheel patients out to the car. I was immediately referred to Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists for a tooth extraction. I spoke with a friendly representative at Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists who was able to schedule a next day consultation and oral surgery. The following day I arrived to a group of friendly employees at the front desk that greeted me. Since I filled out the intake form prior to the appointment, I was only seated for two minutes before being ushered to the back. An employee took my blood pressure, administered an x-ray, and informed me that the surgeon would be with me shortly. Shortly after Dr. Fries entered the room and introduced himself. He gave me an overview of the procedure that would be conducted, asked if I had any questions, and then started a short video that informed me about post-extraction care. After the video concluded, I was ushered to another room where Dr. Fries and an employee began administering the local anesthesia. Roughly 10 minutes later, after confirming that the anesthesia had kicked in, Dr Fries began the procedure. Throughout the procedure Dr. Fries and the employee did a great job of communicating what was happening (the wisdom tooth was very stubborn in coming out) and verifying that I was not in pain (although there was slight discomfort).
