Our luck continued when Eric punctually showed up at our house to work on our skimmer and suction side flow that wasn't working. In less than 5 minutes, not only did Eric have the issue correctly diagnosed, but he was also able to keep his customer's cost in check by not recommending needless parts and labor. What completely amazed me was that Eric was sincerely interested in pleasing us and making us smile. He did this by taking some extra steps quickly that sped up the clearing of our pool, as well as sharing tips of knowledge that he has gained over many years of satisfying customers.. some of these tips were big and some were small.. let me just tell you to ask for the wite-out tip! Thankfully, Elite Pool Designs put all of our fears to rest thanks to their amazing customer service, fair prices and excellent, high quality work. We previously had a koi pond in our backyard but, as the fish died out, realized we wanted something else back there instead. We reached out to Elite Pool and Cyndi and she came over the next day to assess our yard. As we had no idea where to start, she helped guide us through the whole process, connecting us with surveyors, tree removal experts and all of the other hidden things you don't think about when you decide "I want a pool". After the work to get the yard ready was done, we went to the Elite Pool offices to pick out the tile, lining and design of the pool. Cyndi walked us through the shape and features we wanted, and provided a very reasonable quote for everything, including, automation, a heater for the pool (hey it DOES sometime get cold here!) and a screen enclosure. Construction for the pool started in October 2024 and finished in late January 2025, and our hat goes off to Robert (owner of Elite Pool) for his help with managing the entire project. Crews arrived as needed and on time, and though there were some periods between steps where not a lot of work was being done, it was never unreasonable and given the holidays, totally fair. Inspection and electrical were simple and easy and now we are ready to enjoy our pool! For anyone in our same position, looking to install a pool from scratch but not sure where to turn, Elite Pool Design should be your first call, can't recommend them highly enough!

I had several quotes to get the pool cleaned and running again, some of these other companies really tried to gouge me and upcharge me on things I did not want. Bob came out and gave me a very reasonable quote and did not try to upcharge me on anything. Once the pool got cleaned out I decided I should refinish it and add a sundeck. Again they could of gave me an outrageous quote since half the job was done but once again I was given a very reasonable number. Communication was great by phone, text and email. The guys who came out to do the work were very friendly and professional. The job got done in a reasonable amount of time and the pool looks fantastic. The company was know as Walker pools previously but now called Affordable so you can look up both to find them. If I ever need pool repairs again they will be the first ones I call. I had been asking him to come out to check the leaking salt water chlorinator that he installed in 2022 since August of 2024. He doesn't have any help anymore he said, so he wasn't able to come out until just a few weeks ago! Now the product, which cannot be fixed is out of warranty. He told me he would try to find something that would work, but has not contacted me back again. This is a $1000 part that I don't have the money to replace, so I'm stuck. I'm in Tampa and he's in Plant City. I wish he would have just told me he can't do Tampa visits anymore. I don't think he is ill intentioned, but if he can't get the job done, that needs to be communicated much more timely.

fyi…read more.. i called last week and dropped a local pool company after 5 years and called you guys when i had a problem with my pool pump.  i spoke with kurtis which truly sold me your company and made me feel it was the right decision to make the switch to pinch-a-penny.  after explaining everything to him, he set an appointment up with a field tech for monday and he has me set up every tuesday with his brother kevin for service.   just met mike your field guy. i am in all caps intentionally because i am extremely happy with the service i just recieved.  mike gave me a call 10 minutes before he arrived.  (i don't know if this is a policy of yours but i requested it... i am disabled, a veretan, us navy... i don't get around as quickly as most and i often am caught taking a "nap" due to serious pain medications i'm on) so this phone call is something that i am not used to getting with my old service.  100% professional.  just got a good feeling about this guy as soon as i met him.  i explained i was with another company for the last 5 years and was not happy.  i told him what my issues were today & he looked right into it. a few minutes later he not only informed me that my concerns were not as bad as i'd had thought.... but showed me i had some other areas of concern that i had better take care of asap.  i authorized him to do what he needed to do plus he did a few other things as well as show me how to operate our pool system (which the other company never did)  mike went above and beyond for me today.  especially not really knowing me.  i know i'm his customer, but he really stepped up today & i wanted his people to know that. thank you. chris, dawn & mitch parker

Fast-forward about a year later we are onto numerous Warranty claims for the salt cell and all he wants to tell me is his hands are tied and can't do any better. They keep replacing them and they keep breaking. At this point, I'm starting to think that they are giving me used parts. I paid for a working salt cell and he passes the buck onto the manufacturer. I even had to get a new pool company to start cleaning my pool because I watch them on my camera numerous visits in a row to only stay at my home for under three minutes and leaving my pool filthy. When contacting the owner Paul with that issue, he recommended that I find somebody else to service my pool. *this is all my opinion but would recommend staying far away from them*
