So, naturally when I needed paint for my whole house being built- I took my blueprints and headed to the store. I made sure to let them know that I needed help calculating what I needed. Jim and I spent two hours with the blueprints and I had him check the amounts twice because it sounded like a lot to me. He assured me it was correct. He sold me 5 gallons of primer and 21 gallons of paint for a 1300 square foot home. We ran out of primer halfway through and had to drive an hour back to get more. We have almost 8 whole gallons of paint leftover. We called twice asking if we could return some paint for store credit. He basically told my husband that I was a liar and didn't show him the blueprints and that I told him that I didn't plan to prime the whole space. I am meticulous about my decisions. I explained fully well my plans and trusted that an older gentleman could help me calculate seeing as he'd worked there for a while. We are out about $400 in paint we can now trash and absolutely do not appreciate this man trying to take advantage of a woman just to get more money and sell more paint. So very disappointed that a business would be ran this way.

There are 2 parking spots if you have a keen eye you might pick them out. They're diagonal and on the right. If anyone else is there it's basically disorganized chaos. Park wherever and be prepared to move. They've always had exactly what I wanted, and a great selection of power tools that will make any man want to build something. I always drive out regretting not asking about renting a bobcat for the day. I could get so much done if I just had something completely unnecessary. Back to the boring pressure washers, the low powered one is better than anything I could hope to buy for under $600, which makes $45 for 4 hours a pretty sweet deal. They're nothing to look at but function flawlessly.

I chose upgrades during the build and paid extra... rolled into my mortgage. It wasn't until after the closing that I actually thought about the craziness of the markup in the process. Fast forward a few years later, I stopped here in search of new lighting for my current house. The same bathroom light fixture here was double the price of the one that I ended up purchasing at Lowes. They might not have been the same exact brand, but even in a side by side picture comparison, they looked like the same exact fixtures. Keeping it short, just shop around. If you find something that you like here, chance are, it'll be less expensive at Lowes, just around the corner.

Like any other carpet store or a big box flooring department, carpet samples were arranged according to color and height etc. but instead of gigantic, heavy, books or dusty shelves, Carpet One samples are Velcro-attached to multiple trays which rotate in a Ferris wheel fashion -the set up reminded me of those display cases you will see in coin & jewelry stores. A motion switch is mounted for the salesperson to operate giving them control to rotate the trays forward or in reverse. As the trays rotate each passes through an optimal viewing top shelf position, brightly illuminated, only inches away from inspection.
