This can be frustrating, and if you happen to be away from your phone at the moment they call you, you have to start over. It would be much more efficient, in my view, if they answered their phones.

This review is specifically about Dr. Alan Conlon. Two…read moreyears ago I had some severe health problems and ended up having my first ever (and last) manic episode. During this episode I left the practice and moved to another because I had moved to Saratoga. I was forced to move back to the area and attempted to rejoin the practice when I had some very serious problems related to psych, endocrine and physical ailments. Please note that I had been a patient in the practice for 25 years- my sons, ex-wife, brother and nieces and nephews all were or are presently treated here. Dr. Conlon for some reason specifically ordered his staff to not allow me to be seen by ANYONE in the practice even though the practice was accepting new patients. Considering my longevity with the practice, the fact that they treat my family and the complexity of my problems at the time I find his decision to not allow anyone in the practice to treat me somewhat vindictive and lacking in the compassion you would take for granted from a professional practitioner. For this reason I would recommend you strongly avoid this doctor.

She's an outstanding provider. She treats the mind, body, and soul of each patient rather than just their diagnosis. This is a great quality to have as a doctor and it makes a huge difference. I would recommend Internal Medicine & Linda to anyone. I was nervous changing providers but switching to Linda is like a breath of fresh air. My old doctor does not even compare to Linda. All of the nurses at this location are excellent as well. Being a nurse myself I always expect for the nurses to be exceptional and at this location they are nothing less than that. I was very happy with my visit and my experience. They also have an online portal that you can sign up for and review all of your labs, appointments, make/change/cancel appointments, request prescription refills, etc. Wicked convenient. Instead of making a thousand phone calls all of the information you need is just a few clicks away. I took away one star because the parking isn't optimal.

I have had intestinal problems with IBS D for the past 15 years after I recovered from Autoimmune Hepitis. Dr Ford gave me the name of a product called Banatrol and suggested other supplements and within 4 Days, my symptoms disappeared. Today we continued our discussion and he suggested more ways I can continue to improve my health by changing diet and understanding how my body works. Finally I am getting the medical advice I need to feel better and not take more perscriptions. I look forward to seeing him again and learning more information. He has the answers. I am very happy.

I was a patient at this practice for one full pregnancy and birth, and *almost* another full…read morepregnancy. - Dr. McGrinder is an amazing physician: compassionate and competent. By sheer luck he was the attending doctor the first time I gave birth, and he helped me avoid a c-section despite some complications that may have required it. If there's some way you can manage to see just him (unlikely), you should! - Dr. Stier was a perfectly good doctor but I only ever met him once so I don't have a detailed impression of him. - Dr. Mondragon was always rude, far too interested in getting me to have a c-section, and on one occasion, she was outright cruel. I saw her three times, and each time she remarked how absolutely enormous the baby seemed to be getting, and that I should schedule a c-section. But in reality my baby was only 7lb 6oz at birth (and I'm petite, 5 ft & 133 lbs at 40 weeks). Here is how she delivered the results of my 20-week ultrasound, verbatim, "There's [a specific anomaly] in the ultrasound, and it could be [a specific issue]. You have to decide whether you want to abort or risk it. I have to rush now. Goodbye." Then she hung up the phone. It turned out to be nothing, but that's almost besides the point, viz., this is simply not how a doctor ought to be delivering this kind of news to a patient. The worst person in this practice, however, is Bonnie Hermans. She is the reason why I left this practice when I was 38 weeks and 3 days into my second pregnancy. That day, she wanted to conduct an internal exam to see if my cervix was effaced. I did not want internal exams, so I refused. She insisted. I declined, saying that unless it's medically necessary, I don't want internal exams. She pressured me, guilted me, and threatened me for a full five minutes at least. She said, "You could be fully effaced and 6 cm dilated, for all you know! What if you go home and have the baby 20 minutes from now?" I told her that sounds amazing. She made a horrified face and said, "But what if your baby dies? Do you really want to risk your baby DYING just because you don't want an internal exam?" It's absolutely unforgiveable for a medical professional to use such tactics to coerce patients into consenting to medically unnecessary exams. I had no complications or history that would have made this a necessity! Luckily, I was able to find a wonderful nurse-midwife to take over my care (Margaret Holcomb - google her) and was able to have a beautiful, uncomplicated, stress-free birth the very next week -- with NO internal exams.

It's a pain in the butt to call and schedule an appointment. So, why four stars? Dr. Etienne is the best PC doctor I have ever seen. She listens, is attentive, warm, and thoughtful. I never feel rushed and I always feel heard and cared for. I cannot recommend her highly enough. The place itself is 2/3 stars - Dr. Etienne is 5 stars. So I met in the middle at 4 stars. One thing to know about this practice is that they are a teaching facility, so you're often asked if it's okay if a medical resident can be a part of the appointment. I always say yes and have never felt overwhelmed by having the second person there.

Without going into my personal history/issues I just want to say how ashamed these doctors have made me feel just to be alive. I called today to try to get an appointment because I'm sick and the receptionist didn't even let me finish my sentence before transferring me to the wrong department. I hung up and didn't call back. It's such an unsafe environment because you'll be neglected. They treat you as if you're drug seeking when you just may be looking for alternatives, testing, or plain validation of your concerns. The only positive experience I've ever had with Ellis is with Dr, Etienne, bless her heart. I'm so sad she's not accepting new patients. Please go somewhere else if you can. I came in to get my vaccinations today and also to get a check up and I must say that they are…read morefollowing the precautions and protocols to a T the covid-19 but why wouldn't they there a doctor's office. They start off by having you check in by asking you the famous questions that they asked everybody which is basically if you've been outside of the country if you been outside of the State that are under the quarantine ban New York State and then finally have you been hanging out with your covid-19 friends. As long as you answered no to all of those they take your temperature and they give you a little sticky note to give to the nurse who takes your vitals and you're on your way. This is a great setup and it works out well. They have their chairs blocked off so that you can't sit next to each other so what increases social distancing in the waiting area. The reason why I dropped it down a star is because the wait times have gotten really long and it's just a little bit one-sided in that effect because if you're late to your appointment you get canceled but they can be late to their appointment and we just have to deal with it. Now onto my Dr Jessica Berman MD. I will say this she is one heck of a doctor she has been seeing me now for probably 11 years maybe even a little bit longer and she has been on point with me all the time and she holds me accountable which is something that I need at times. My wife is also seen by her and my wife has nothing but positive things to say about the doctor. Both of my sons one is age 22 and one is 11 and they are both seen by her as well and she is an excellent doctor in every facet of care that is given to my family. The only unfortunate part is right now she's not accepting new patience but I do recommend this facility because if these doctors are anything like Dr Berman then they have an excellent practice on their hands. Because of this, I just assumed that the treatment did not work and there wasn't much else I could do, since every other doctor told me I had some sort of allergy. Well, two years later, I still have the same problem, so I decided to go to a REAL eye doctor (an ophthalmologist), not an optometrist or a general practitioner, leading me to Dr. Tanenbaum. Dr. Tanenbaum is wonderful. Rarely do you get a doctor that will take the time to talk to you and really try to understand what is causing your problems. Most just want to prescribe you something and send you on your way, at least in my experience. Dr. Tanenbaum actually cares and wants to make sure you get better, scheduling follow-ups as needed until your problem is resolved. He also took the time to make sure all my questions were answered. I'm so grateful to have found him - more doctors should be as thorough as Dr. Tanenbaum!
