Not sure how he stayed in practice. First time in his office, I gave him my medical history, in which in future appointments he always got wrong. As if the doctor has the beginning stages of dementia. At the very least, he did not take careful enough notes to remind himself of a conversation he had with his patient and the reasoning why he prescribed a particular treatment plan.
Decisions made following a thorough, lengthy discussion during visits, he would prescribe medication, one would assume based off of his professional medical expertise, only to later insinuate that I somehow 'tricked' him into him prescribing a particular medication.
Finally, as he begins the process of retiring, he hires two young ladies who should not be in the field of medicine. Young, condescending, belittling, unprofessional, and would reverse an established treatment plan on a whim. No discussion. No replacement treatment, just stopped because they just didn't like it. If you've never found yourself in this type of situation with your established medical team, I will tell you, it is terrifying.
There is nothing you can do or say. As your new, forced upon you physician/PA/nurse, they hold all authority, removing you off medication that you depend on as part of your care.
Absolutely do not trust this practice. It was an embarrassing and humiliating experience. I was embarrassed for them.
