At 12:20 PM, I asked her if it would be much longer. She said I was up next to go into an exam room, but there were six people ahead of me in six exam rooms, and it would be at least a couple of hours before I was taken care of because there's only one medical person (doctor? NP?) working that day and she had a migraine and was working slowly. I left, and made an appointment with my physician, even though I have to wait four days to be seen. By the way, this particular Wellnow is no longer associated with Saint Peter's, though the sign is still on the building stating it is. Also, the reception area was extremely cold. The few people in there were complaining, but the receptionist had no control over the temperature. It was so cold I stood outside to warm up.

This summer was exceptional. They spotted a very difficult to find small tumor with their brand new 3D mammogram machine. My oncologist was shocked and impressed that they discovered it. She says this type of tumor is exceptionally well hidden and rarely seen until much larger. My prognosis is excellent and I am most grateful. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I had my first ever MRI in Clifton Park today. I did not know beforehand what the fasting test…read morewould entail. It was prescribed by my gastro doctor. 1. An IV to inject dye was needed. I am a "difficult draw" because of my small arteries. The staff member who did my MRI put the IV in skillfully on the first try which does not always happen. Thankful for her expertise! 2. The MRI was 20-25 minutes long and noisy. I had to wear a headset. She gave me a much appreciated and needed break after 10 minutes. There were lots of recorded holding your breath prompts through the test. 3. I received assistance getting off the table and placed in a wheelchair for a few minutes. It was a fasting test, so I appreciated the juice and pretzels that were offered to me. A nurse checked out that I was feeling well enough to leave the waiting room. I was. Bony took me in and prepared me for the mri which included contrast. She was down to earth and made you feel comfortable. Once in the tube which wasn't an open mri they told you everything you needed to know and approx how long every step took. I can honestly say they were the best imaging company to go with. I had my fair share of mri's and cat scans.

Christine Towers came in, didn't even bother to look in my ears, down my throat, or up my nose. She just looked at me and said "if it's a sinus infection, you're on the right medication". Thanks to her I spent another week stuck on bedrest because I didn't even have a sinus infection. I had to go to another urgent care to find out that it was allergies and I needed a steroid nasal spray.

Update- Went back and forth between Albany Med and BCBS multiple times on the above claim. Received an itemized list and compared billing codes between Albany Med facilities. This facility is 3x the cost as compared to Albany Med and Glens Falls Hospital for the same services. If I had known this I would have driven 15 minutes down the road to save the $1000.

The techs were fine, but when I requested a copy of the report, I was told (on different days): *We mailed it to you, but the mails are slow "When did you mail it?" "We don't keep those records" "You don't keep a record of when you release confidential patient information?" "That is correct." What followed was a series of no less than 12 phone calls, all with different responses. (At least they should synchronize their stories.) I spoke to the office manager on Friday who agreed to Express Mail it. He did not! When I asked about the conflicting stories, he said, "oh, they are new." I had 167 people on staff and EVERY ONE knew that they are not expected to know all the answers, just either get the answer, or refer them to someone who can help. I plan to file a complaint with all relevant regulatory agencies, the VA, and any other consumer agencies there are. It would have been easier if they told the truth.
