When you arrive everyone at the front desk has a smile on their face. I think that is so important considering that many of us are anxious when we walk in for our fourth, fifth or sixth cancer check! My daughter was experiencing severe, stabbing abdominal pain. We waited nearly 2 hours in the waiting room, followed by another 2 hours in an exam room before a provider finally came in. After a very brief exam consisting of little more than touching her abdomen, we were told they would run labs and give her Pepcid or Maalox for what was described as a possible upset stomach. At that point, we had already been there for 4 hours, and my daughter was still in significant pain. Then we learned that the lab results would take another couple of hours to return and that the facility does not have ultrasound capability at night. That information should have been communicated during triage. Had we known 4 hours earlier that they could not perform one of the most common tests used to evaluate abdominal pain, we would have gone directly to an emergency room. We left with no answers, no diagnosis, and a child who was still in acute pain. I'll be checking the lab results on the patient portal in two hours and seeking emergency care elsewhere if her condition worsens. This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience, and I would not rely on this facility for serious medical treatment or any condition that may require imaging. I am going to assume that they are understaffed and underfunded.

I was being treated with antibiotics for what they thought was a sinus infection and was told if I…read morewasn't feeling better in a few days to come back. I waited over three hours. Christine Towers came in, didn't even bother to look in my ears, down my throat, or up my nose. She just looked at me and said "if it's a sinus infection, you're on the right medication". Thanks to her I spent another week stuck on bedrest because I didn't even have a sinus infection. I had to go to another urgent care to find out that it was allergies and I needed a steroid nasal spray.

From the time I entered the facility and was checked in, to the time I left after my MRI, my…read moreexperience was nothing but positive. Paul and Heather were the Technicians who handled my MRI, and they listened to my concerns about the MRI chamber, as well as the possibility of finding a viable vein, due to my prior cancer treatments, for the contrast material. After a quick discussion we found a great vein and the infusion site was all set up. They also provided me with Headphones so that I could listen to relaxing music during the process ( traditional Japanese Music was my choice). Paul kept in touch with me during the MRI to make sure that I was okay. We shared some laughs during the set up which helped relax me and made the procedure that much more pleasant

I had my first ever MRI in Clifton Park today. I did not know beforehand what the fasting test…read morewould entail. It was prescribed by my gastro doctor. 1. An IV to inject dye was needed. I am a "difficult draw" because of my small arteries. The staff member who did my MRI put the IV in skillfully on the first try which does not always happen. Thankful for her expertise! 2. The MRI was 20-25 minutes long and noisy. I had to wear a headset. She gave me a much appreciated and needed break after 10 minutes. There were lots of recorded holding your breath prompts through the test. 3. I received assistance getting off the table and placed in a wheelchair for a few minutes. It was a fasting test, so I appreciated the juice and pretzels that were offered to me. A nurse checked out that I was feeling well enough to leave the waiting room. I was. Bony took me in and prepared me for the mri which included contrast. She was down to earth and made you feel comfortable. Once in the tube which wasn't an open mri they told you everything you needed to know and approx how long every step took. I can honestly say they were the best imaging company to go with. I had my fair share of mri's and cat scans.
