Hospital experience was the kind lady at the front receptionist. She was lovely. Then there was the permed haired dragon lady from hell who assisted in my enhanced CT scan. Thank you for making an already terrible experience worse. The highlight was when she screamed so loud and hard at me in Mt face while reefing my hands above my head when I told her something was wrong with my catheter. When she ripped my catheter out after the procedure, I threw up, terrible experience. Now I know how animals must feel when they are forced into submission and yelled at. The Leduc Hospital how disappointing,I thought that moving to a great smaller town would be The right on move. yes it's pretty good place to live however a month ago I broke my ankle in two places had to call an ambulance paramedics were amazing then I get to the hospital in Leduc . I'm not sure if the people working there are sadistic ordoing an experiment on how much pain someone can take. I arrived at 11 something like that I sat in the waiting room because it was the nurse changeover I asked the security guard to find me a nurse because I was beside myself in excruciating pain The expert guy was ridiculous I couldn't move my foot to the right side so he pulled it it's my ankle is broken in two places and he pulled it Do your self a favour if you're picked up by the ambulance go to the UFA because my whole experience was different than the Leduc hospital They messed me up so badly Nothing was dressed properly my foot wasn't put properly put in place I was released at 5 AM just to go home ... lived on the floor for 4 days Everything it about the Leduc Hospital is Messed up! I came here to get my second vaccine shot and what a different experience to the first shot! The first one I received at the mass immunization clinic at the South Park location. That was a big huge line and big huge room full of people (socially distanced of course). But this Leduc centre was much more comfortable. It was more like visiting the doctors office with little treatment rooms where the nurses are to give you the vaccine. The only congested area was the last room where you wait after the vaccine. They were giving shots in there AND making people wait in there so it was a little awkward. Other than that this is a great comfy and friendly place to get your vaccine. The nurse took her time to explain everything and ask questions and it was really a great experience. :) go get your vaccine here! read more

The nurses are not very nice here (upstairs ones, I mean, on the units). My disabled and sick father in law was really treated meanly. Especially by that large, but short, dark-skinned one named Bania, I think. She was cruel. She would do things like try to sweat him out. She would keep putting blankets on him, he would pull them off, saying hes too hot, begging her not to do it again but she would pull them back up, and tuck them all in so he couldn't get out. She would do this pretty much for hours on end before family arrived. His roommate was a relatively healthy young guy so we were told about ALL of this disgraceful nonsense by both my father in law and the roommate. There's uncaring, and then there is CRUEL and Bania definitely falls into the latter category. Now that my FinL is in an Edmonton hospital he is being treated more kindly. Avoid Leduc at all costs. read more

Leduc Hospital does not care about their patients. I went here yesterday with a kidney stone a day after shock wave treatment. I was told after my appointment, that if i had a fever, or severe pain that the pain meds arent helping with.. to go to an ER immediately as it can be life threatening. I was very visibly in pain, and they made me sit and wait. When my wife asked them how long it would be after 10 minutes of waiting... they just said "i dont know". We had to leave and went to Wetaskawin where we were admitted immediately due to the severity of my situation. Leduc Hospital should be investigated. NEVER GO HERE IF IT'S AN EMERGENCY! They'll literally let you die. read more

The first lady I saw (covid times) put me in a covid holding room because I answered yes to two of her questions. The triage nurse explained I shouldn't have been in there since the first lady should have asked a follow up question (one was the reason I was there(pain)) and the second one is chronic. After talking to the triage nurse about it, she let me into general waiting, where I could hear her tell her colleagues about my chronic issue and then laugh about it like it was a funny joke. I went here to get nasal surgery before covid. The first nurse helping me was a Scottish lady. She was so polite and pleasant to talk to. When I woke up from surgery I was woken to two other nurses shit talking my tattoos. Some blond lady with a cross necklace on, I didn't see the other. She literally woke me up saying, hey, hey, what does this tattoo mean. Hello? Wake up. Pointing to my bloody gothic tattoos and pointed on my skin and scraped her nail all the way up across my arm all the Wtf!? I was so out of it, I would have cussed her out. read more

Nope not this place, nurses are lazy as hell 4 nurses and not one asked if my daughter needs ice . No pain killers nothing. As far as Hospitals go for being a smaller community the Leduc Hospital is pretty on par with what we have here in Edmonton. The bed side manner of their doctors and nurses in the emergency department is excellent and should be studied and made an example of for other hospitals in my opinion. I was here dealing with kidney stones and was slightly less then a picture of beauty but not once did I feel embarrassed or undignified. Wait times are pretty standard as well. When it was dead I got in in 30 minutes and at the peak of busyness it took roughly about three hours. The one and only issue I take with this hospital is their mental health department. The wait list is 2 months long and they don't communicate well with family doctors about what goes on with you in between visits with them like they claim to do during your first session. You would be much better off finding a sliding scale counselling service if you need that kind of help right away. Obviously a hospital is not a place you want to make a habit of visiting regularly but you can feel secure knowing your going to get good treatment if you happen to need medical attention while living in or visiting Leduc. read more

I show up the other morning at 3am in severe chronic pain and there are no other patients waiting. I get in right away and I get a shot for pain. I asked for torodol because it helps with pain and inflammation and doesn't get you high. I told the doctor I wasn't there for morphine or demerol. He said he had no problem and gave me shot and a muscle relaxer and 2 pain pills. That was fine. I have been in chronic pain for 41 months and not much help from my physician anyway. I go there this morning in severe chronic pain and no other patients are there and I get in right away, She puts me in a room and says the doctor will be a few minutes. An hour and a half goes by and I go out to check and the nurse said he will be in to see me in just a few minutes. another 30 minutes goes by and I go see the guy at the desk by the door and said how much longer do I have to wait. I said I am in severe pain and have been waiting 2 hours now and he says there is only 1 doctor on. In the meantime the doctor sees 5 other patients who are not even hurt bad and not complaining at all and a lady brings her young daughter in with a sniffle and he looks at all them and keeps walking past my room. Being the first one there and pushed aside because I am in pain is totally unacceptable. I have never been more disgusted in being treated as a patient in severe pain. These people there act as if they are some sort of god picking and choosing who they will see and not giving any mind to people who are suffering with real pain. Treating some kid with a sniffle is unprofessional and the doctors should be telling parents to go see their family doctor instead of interfering with people who need to be seen. What a disgraceful, uncaring, unprofessional bunch that work there. I will never ever go there again. I don't care if I have to drive somewhere else. You do not have to be treated like that at any hospital if you are in severe pain. These people have a complex that they are some kind of god and they are not. Thy are poor in profession and should be fired for being inconsiderate and uncaring about people. They sure do not go by what their signs say in the waiting room. You people sicken and disgust not only me but a lot of people in Leduc and area. You are not gods so smarten up or get out. read more

Wait time is here is always ridiculous but that can happen anywhere. However, the rude ignorant non-caring service I constantly receive is beyond me. The nurses past the door are amazing and haven't had a bad one yet...however the registering nurse you have to talk to, is usually (depending which one it is) non-caring and doesn't pay attention and acts as if you're tearing duct tape off her butt by being there. I have Crohns and have to visit this hospital out of inability to travel to Edmonton hospitals because the ambulance bill would be too much and every time I come I feel like I am inconveniencing them. MY family physician constantly complains of me going there as he himself does not recommend it as most of the doctor's there like to just patch up your discomfort/pain with meds (drugs) then send you on your way. I hate taking my disabled son here because they never do tests and just say "he looks good to me" he once went in for a big goose egg on his head and when I went in out of concern of it not subsiding after x amount of weeks/months they said he was fine then I later found out he had a cracked skull. read more

The service for me is usually horrible. I had to take my friend to the hospital cuz she was having a miscarriage and the doctor there said she's not pregnant. He kept saying that the blood tests are 100% accurate for pregnancy tests. My mom was right there trying to tell him that he was wrong because when she was pregnant with me all the tests came back negative. The only thing that proved she was pregnant with me was an ultrasound and she was like I told you guys. A couple years before that I went in with my mom because my cat bit my hand. The doctor I had was like just take some Advil or something you're hand should be fine. 3 hour wait wasted because the doctor didn't know what he was talking about. 2 days later we went back because my hand was blew up like a ballon and was red. Then he prescribed me with what I needed. Then about a year ago I went in cuz I was having troubles with my breathing and 5 hours later with blood tests as well as an X-ray he just said go home and take Ibuprofen. A few months later I went to see my awesome family doctor in Edmonton and she sent me to get a lung function test because of my weight shooting up high in a year. There wasn't anything wrong with my lungs since I've been playing the clarinet for a few years. Then about mid September the same thing happened and the whole reason why I was having troubles breathing was my allergies toward my cat. Of corse the doctor in the emergency wouldn't have caught that, but he could've done a better job. read more
