Little…read morefrustrating with the initial self check-in with temperature reader that wasn't working well. After going into the radiology section, it was a well run process. Things were timely and explained. The radiologist who gave me a cortisone injection was actually the owner and talked about how pleased she was to be able to meet the need for these services out in Spruce/Stony. She also encouraged me to come back in if the bursitis returns (after 3 months) if it lasts for a week. Good to know rather than leaving it to see if it goes away. I will definitely choose to go here again the future if I need radiology services. Found the clinic very welcoming and efficient. Everything was clean and organized.

I did not have to wait more that 5 minutes to get into a change room. Possibly 5 minutes to get the x-ray. It's clean and pleasant. The reception was a little abrupt, but ok. The washroom is also clean. I would like to see more magazines in the waiting area. (I suppose most folks play on their phone)

Instead my wife was asked to come in and I was left in the waiting room for approx 20mins before asking the receptionists if I would be allowed in soon (I really wanted to be in there with my wife, its our first kid after all) they informed me there wasn't room in the exam room for me to be in there, which I didn't really understand but they said it was protocol. I have since heard from a friend who works at Medical Imaging Consultants who said they allow both parents in the room for the whole exam and there is no real reason for the husband to be barred from the room. Even if it is "protocol"it would be nice to be told before hand that I can't be in the room. Also had the person doing the ultrasound just tell us the sex of our child. Never asked my wife during her exam, nor clarified with me when I came in the room if we wanted to know the sex. Was really disappointed they were not more professional and aware of what the parents were expecting or were hoping from their ultrasound.

I went to Insight for my initial baby ultrasounds. At my 13 week NT scan, I didn't have the proper…read moreprerequisite and had to wait for my doctor to fax it over. No worries! By the time it came, we had 15 minutes left of our 45-60 minute appointment and my tech let me know it. It was very rushed and baby wasn't cooperative, she didn't show us any photos or videos of baby. I would've been fine rescheduling if we had needed more time but I wasn't given that option! Then our results came... and baby was determined to have spinal bifida, determined after a quick and rushed 15 minute ultrasound. We were referred to a specialist, who told us there's absolutely nothing wrong with baby and that they usually don't start testing for spinal bifida until 19/20 weeks... yet it came up for a 13 week scan at Insight. Likely the spine wasn't fully developed at that point. Very unprofessional and quite traumatic of a result for something that could have been avoided. Why weren't we booked in for a follow up instead of jumping to conclusions? Why was it even a possibility at a 13 week ultrasound to begin with? After discussing this with many people, this has also been their experience with Insight. We have since switched places and will not be back.

Wait times were surprisingly short and the onsite Doctor reviews and assesses the imaging right away, so you don't have to wait for a dreaded phone call from your GP or MyAlbertaHealth. Mine was a mammogram (which I had avoided for decades) and once the assessment was done (all clear!) you're on your way. The entire process took less than 40 minutes. I was able to get my driver out of the McDonald's drive-through, and arrive at the right time. My experience was overall pretty comfortable. They warm the gel used for the ultra sound in a kind of bottle warmer! So much nicer. The only thing that made me pause was that the staff mostly don't wear masks anymore. They say they will don a mask on request. I think that they should instead, follow the lead of the patient and wear a mask if the patient wears one. Anyway, other than that, my experience overall was very good.
