Last 6-7 years I've had changes in my finances and was paying more taxes at the end of each year. Darla advised me to change my withholdings to Single and $0. I immediately acted and did just that. However, that ill advise followed me each and every year.... I had to pay both state and federal taxes, in the hundreds and even in the thousands... Each year I depended on Darla to assess my withholdings and she'd continue saying, go 'Single and $0'..you're fine !! I'd always go back to my employer and make sure everything showed 'single and $0'.. When I filed 2022 she assured me that it would be the last year I'd have to pay the high amounts.... Smaller amount of taxes would have pacified me..... but guess what? In 2023 I paid the highest 'underpayment amounts'....plus penalties for underpayment of taxes... I was undoubtedly super upset... This time I asked her to show me exactly what I had to do to correct and redo my withholdings. I requested this information to be sent to me in writing and in laymen terms so that I could understand more clearly how to resolve this issue, after all she is the professional.. this request was made on May 2, 2024... and it fell on deaf ears because IT NEVER CAME. She totally ignored my request, even though I paid for her harsh ADVISE.. Darla showed her true colors by ignoring me. Darla, you have let me down. I trusted you and even referred you to friends and family.

I had concerns…read morethat my parents' trust was out of date and might be negatively impacted by the newly passed Prop 19, so I made an appointment to meet him along with my mother. My brokerage featured him in a meeting regarding Prop 19 and real estate, I felt like we'd be in a safe pair of hands. Bob Lamm was cordial and voiced a willingness in the meeting to look over the trust and make recommendations. My mother left the documentation with him and told him that his expertise was valued and while not in a rush, we would the trust to be updated. He agreed and accepted the bound documents. One month went by, then another, nothing, not a phone call, no response whatsoever; I was so surprised to be dropped like that without a notion of what was happening. Honesty is the best policy, if the trust was not worth his time, Bob Lamm could have expressed this in a diplomatic fashion, my mother, while proud of her well organized leather bound trust is under no illusion that it is anything more than modest size and we would not be offended if he had been forthright and honest and recommended another company. Instead, I phoned the office 2.5 months after the initial meeting and left a message with the reception that we hadn't heard anything from Bob Lamm and that I would like to come by and pick up the trust. No response! A few weeks pass and I call the office again and ask when I can come by...the reception replies to my query says, "Oh, it's here, up in front". Really???? All the sensitive documents have been sitting up at the reception desk for goodness knows how long with NO ATTEMPT to contact me and let me know it is there? Wow. Wow. Message received, our business is not needed nor welcome. Bob Lamm's behavior was appallingly unprofessional and possibly in violation of some privacy protocols. Perhaps you'll have better luck with Cummins and White than we did...especially if your trust is worth more money.
