    Cakes and more.

Delicioso and Yelp Reviews on point! This is a friendly, family oriented and cheerful place that has a loyal fan base. I visited today based on Yelp reviews and I was pleasantly greeted w aromas, kindness and great prices. Visiting this place was a pleasure. One half of the business is an eatery and the other a self-serve bakery. This review is based on bakery portion of the establishment. Cakes are under refrigerated on your left. Assistance is anticipating you. Bakery items for self-serve are located on the right in the lucite cases against the wall. To start your journey you will need two items before you begin. First grab across from the cases a tray to tenderly place your bakery treasures upon. Second, pick up a set of tongs to grab those bakery treasures. When you have finished your treasure hunting turn to the back of the bakery past the coffee station to the long counter on the left wall where waiting assistance is anticipating you. They will bag your bakery treasures. And they will Total your order which they hand you & direct you to the cashier. Next turn towards the front of the establishment & get in line to pay. At the cashier station in addition to checking out, you can order breakfast tacos for to go. As a non Spanish speaker I was treated so nicely here. The customers were accommodating & pointed out the process where to line up and the rest was intuitive. I will work on my Spanish. And in the meantime refer others to this lovely bakery. The recipients of the treats I purchased hail from San Fran. They were DELIGHTED by the yummies from Lecaroz. And I hope you find your experience just as pleasant. Allow extra time for ordering and queuing up in line to check out. Everyone is chill and knows the drill. It's worth the wait. People keep coming back and now I know why. De Nada You're Welcome!

Cake that has to much fruit and too much wipp cream and there's not any bread
    Itz You G.

No. TOO MUCH FRUIT literally when I cut the cake fruits came out just too much like I am not buying fruits to make something I am buying CAKE NOT FRUITS and too much wipp cream! Layers with that on

Large variety of pastries and desserts that are super cheap. Just remember it is a Mexican bakery so orejas are with powdered sugar and flan is sweeter than Vietnamese.

Started off with some cinnamon coffee. Homemade, fresh and delicious treats. Bought a ton of sweet bread to take home. Ordered some breakfast tacos with homemade tortillas. Happy I found this spot.

However, we…read moredecided on Desseire as an Asian-flavored French techniqued bakery sounded like an excellent option. Its in a less trafficked area of Chinatown and sort of tucked away in a corner of the strip mall. It has a casual pick up and go vibe, with display cases of baked goods and a couple options on the counter (dont miss the caneles). The cashier (potentially also the baker) was friendly and was super patient with us as we were making decisions and then noticing a special and adding extra goods (sorry for making you box and unbox so many times!) Anyways, all the baked goods we got were reasonably priced around $3-4. They also have some larger tiramisu options but we didn't grab any this time. I got a canele, a variety of choux, and some cupcakes. I enjoyed the canele and it had a very nice crust but the center wasn't as custardy as some I've had but regardless I enjoyed it and I also rarely see caneles so it was a nice treat. The choux were the winners for me though, filled with various creams (I got mango, pandan, and pistachio). I really liked the choux pastry and found it light and crisp. The filling was also perfect, light, held its texture and didn't spill out as I was eating it, and perfect level of sweetness for me. I also enjoyed flavor of the cupcakes but I did think they were slightly dense. Overall, this was such a great find and glad we stopped by. It may end up becoming one of my staples to have pastries for the week!

We grabbed a few unique desserts: Durian dessert (for the adventurous ) Japanese cheesecake Matcha tiramisu Unfortunately, we had a few more stops to make, so we didn't get to enjoy them fresh -- but here's the breakdown: Durian: Very true to the fruit and surprisingly light. Not my personal favorite, but if you love durian, I'd absolutely recommend trying it here. Japanese Cheesecake: Comparable to Uncle Tetsu, but with a creamier topping that paired really well with the soft, fluffy texture. Matcha Tiramisu: Easily my favorite. It had that rich, bitter, earthy matcha flavor that tells you they're using quality ingredients -- super potent in the best way. Honestly, the matcha tiramisu alone makes me want to come back and try all their other tiramisu flavors. I already recommended this spot to a friend right after!

The ladoos the first round were hard and inedible, with a funky taste. The other barfis (Mango and Walnut-based milk barfi) were tasty. Went back to notify them about the ladoos. They were incredibly gracious and substituted the ladoos with more of the other barfis at no cost. So as not to be a complete heel, decided to buy more sweets - besan laddoos, milk barfi, and dry jamun , and potato samosas. Unfortunately the besan laddoos did not taste good. The besan (chickpea flour) has not been sufficiently roasted and it tasted and smelled raw. That spoiled the taste of the whole sweet - inedible. The samosas were quite tasty. Apparently the sweets are transported to the Spring location from their Sugarland location where they are made. The inconsistency in taste and flavor have put me off anymore sweets from there. Willing to give the savories a try next time. Prices are not cheap - approx $14 for a pound of sweets (any type).

I'm not talking about joining Cargill or some corporate restaurant chain with 700 locations and benefits, I'm talking about otherwise stable people who take the plunge opening their own restaurant or trailer or storefront with food or some twist on it they really believe in, because the odds against them sure are stacked. Maybe what I find really remarkable here is I don't know that many people motivated by passion, and not just ego. Which brings us to Mina and her Cookie Cup Commotion - just your typical Houston attorney making a wonderful dessert/treat/pastry item who wants you to enjoy it too. Two dozen will cost you $32, there's a variety including GF ones, and I pretty much think the chocolate chip cup with peanut butter hazelnut rules. Okay, I'm kind of enamored of the mint chocolate one too, but that might be a March-only exclusive. Currently, you can either call-in or text your order, and the entire marketing staff appears to be the Firm of FaceBook & Instagram. I just happen to play a lot here on Yelp. It's also handy to have friends willing to bring a batch up to you, especially when you live in Austin. Hey, I always take my Houston peeps to dinner when they're in town, I'm just asking them to bring in a little extra dessert for us. It's a good thing. Totally win-win. And for some really good stuff.
