They're very kind and warm-hearted. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. We had an emergency with my mom and they managed to squeeze us in and help us. Appointments are terrible, they schedule you and make you wait several hours in the lobby and finally when you get in the room you have to wait another hour, they really need to work on space out those time so people don't wait to long! read more

I want to comment on the post that shows the files and say this . Was the place clean ? Yes!!! Did the entire staff and to doctor and his wife who works with him give you a sense of peace love and safety in your spirit that you are in very good hands ? Because thats how I still feel after leaving my appointment with them the other day . Maybe if you need a good reason as to why those files are there . Maybe thats where the cancer goes after it leaves our bodies in those files. Tell me since taking those pictures how is your health ? Did u have success in your treatment ? Find a different office. All of the other reviews about how bad this place is from the rude unhelpful staff, to the super long wait times even though you clearly have an appointment are true. It's ridiculous how long you have to wait for an appointment, sometimes it's more than 3 hours. I don't understand why they don't have better time management. If they know they won't be able to see a certain number of patients in a day why book more than they can see? The staff is so rude I don't know if it's because they don't want to deal with people asking questions about why it's taking so long. Either way they are rude for other stuff. Just find a different office unless you have all the time in the world and don't care about being treated badly. read more

The staff are terrible and RUDE. They are not pleasant to work with & they force their appointments on you every 3 weeks. The doctor placed SO MANY ORDERS AT ONCE & the staff give you a hard time if you don't follow the doctor's orders IMMEDIATELY. All orders were STAT. It was as if everybody was on clinical drugs. The appointments were 3 hours long from 4pm to 7pm. They don't check nor disclose insurance information. Then they send you bills threatening to report you if you don't pay. My name is Brenda Baker and if I could choose zero stars for this Dr. and his staff I would. I lost my Father to metastatic lung cancer in August of 2021. Dr. LeBerthon was my father's oncologist. Yes, on the surface he can come across as quite charming. But it's smoke and mirrors..that's all. Dr. LeBerthon showed very little interest in my father.. we'd show up for Dr. Appts and wait 2. 3..hours before being seen. And finally when the Dr would finally come in the room he'd spend most of his time flipping through the "patient file". .. asking questions he should have already had the answes to...it was ridiculous. Dr. LeBerthon is a pro at passifying his patients and they're family members. He has far too many patients on his case load to be able to give any degree of quality time to his patients. It's about money! Cancer is a billion dollar industry!!! He uses the suggested "standard protocol" to treat his patients with cancer. It is not a carefully thought out individually tailored plan of action for each patient. Far from it!!! Dr. LeBerthon prescribed my 85 yr. Old father with lung cancer...and who had heart issues "Ridlin" in a last ditch effort to see if it would motivate my father to try and get out of his hospital bed. He did this without my permission or knowledge. 2 days later my father died at Queen of the Valley Hospital. It was August 16th. The kind doctor did not do his homework when deciding to prescribe ridin to my father. It sent my father's heart rate racing! It was too much for his body...his organs...it's what pushed my father over the edge. I have spoken with several oncologists since that day..some of whom work at City of Hope who have told me that very few case studies exist that show any positive results when ridlin is given to cancer patients who are elderly. It was careless! It was NEGLIGENT!!! Dr. LeBerthon was present and in the room as my father was dying. When nothing more could be done and my father passed..Dr. LeBerthon simply left the hospital and went back to his office. Didn't say a word to me...or offer his condolences. He just vanished. I thought surly I would hear from Him or from his staff, after all, he was my father's oncologist. To this day....I've never received a call. .a txt msg....or a letter from his staff offering they're condolences over the loss of my Father. If you are reading this and you have cancer or have a loved one who was just diagnosed with cancer and you're looking for the right oncologist... DO NOT choose Brian leberthon. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEARTACHE. THERE ARE DOCTORS OUT THERE WHO WILL GENUINLY HOLD THEMSELVES TO A HIGHER STANDARD. BRIAN LEBERTHON IS NOT ONE OF THEM. read more

This review is on behalf of my wife... We chose this doctor because he was the doctor provided to her while she was in the hospital and he was very friendly. Unfortunately, we will not continue to see him because we can no longer tolerate his staff. They are a complete DISASTER!!! We did our best to patient, but our patience has run out! They are unbearable! EVERY time she calls them, they are impatient, rude and never do what they say they will do. She ends up having to call them 2, 3, 4 times just to get results. She only does this because the Coumadin levels are extremely important and time sensitive and they NEVER call her back when they say they will. Then when they talk to her, they treat her like she is a nuisance. If your job is that hard and makes you that miserable to treat people with complete disrespect over the phone, then QUIT!!!!!! This job's not for you. The health field should be filled with workers who actually care about patients, not be annoyed by them. The final straw was arriving on time for a prescheduled doctor's appointment and having to wait, no exaggeration, 3 hours to finally be seen by the doctor!!COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! Doctor Leberthon, if you are reading this, fire your entire staff and start over. They don't deserve you and you deserve a lot better. They make your office look terrible!! Good luck. read more

The doctor is great -- really one of the best ever. Compassionate and caring, and takes the time to get to know the patient and their issues. On the other hand...the appointment scheduling function could use some help. If you're running 2 hours behind schedule at 2 pm, please tell people that when they check in. It would have been better for everyone if we had known that, and had a chance to either go get lunch or reschedule. As it was, we were exhausted and cranky by the time we got to see the NP, who never introduced herself or explained her role. Next time we'll eat first. And bring water and magazines. Honestly this Dr is really nice and seems to be pretty thorough, but what kills me about this office is the wait time and the lack of returning calls... I come here for my mom the first time we came we arrived on time, actually a little earlier and we waited,no shitting you, 3hrs!!! I called for test results and someone was to return my call with results later that day, I had to call for 3 or 4 days with same results... Today is her appt chkd in at 3:30 which is her appt time we barely got into a room and now need to sit here for probably another hr to wait and see the dr... ugggh just irritated!!! But on the upside they offered and gave my daughter cookies, which is good since she had no time to eat anything after school and by time we get out of here it will probably be her bed time... read more

Dr. Leberthon is the most kind and caring doctor. It is no wonder why he has so many "Compassionate Doctor" awards. He treated my father for throat cancer and really became his friend. Towards the end of his treatments, my father became very ill and was admitted to the ER/hospital for other reasons. Dr. Leberthon took it upon himself to make daily visits to my father to check in on him. Due to the current situation, no visitors were allowed and Dr. Leberthon was really the only friendly face my father was able to see. My family and I are so grateful to Dr. Leberthon for his sincere caring and kindness. read more

I've been dealing with difficult health issues almost all of my life and Dr Leberthon is the first doctor that actually cares. When have you ever gone to a Doctor month after month and they continue to take the time to make sure all your needs are addressed? Normally you wait for a Dr then once you see them your in and out asking yourself why did I even bother. Yes you might have to wait at times but knowing once your seen you have his full attention until, yes until you feel reassured all your needs are met is unheard of in today's medicine. I honestly believe he is the best of the best. I know first hand how scary being chronically ill can be. I'm so thankful I have a doctor that cares. Skilled, knowledgeable, kind and compassionate Doctor. My main issue is more with some of his office staff members. The 5 starts refer to him and his personal level of care, solely. Some members of his office staff could definitely polish their customer service skills and be reminded that they're dealing with the people who actually help keep them employed in these tough times. Out of my sincere liking for Dr. LeBerthon, here are some suggestions that might come in handy for current and future staff. After all, why not make patients feel great while in your office!? 1: Look up and look at the patients as they walk in and up to the front desk. Welcome them graciously, NOT impatiently and with a look of annoyance as if they're a nuisance to you. (This also applies to your attitude over the phone!) 2: Do not be condescending to the patients who are elderly, speak another language or are otherwise perceived as "not worthy" of your full respect and attention. ALL patients should be equally important in your office, and treated as such. 3. When Pharma Reps come in, DO NOT treat them as if they are more important than the patients who are sitting there waiting to be seen. I witnessed this practice too many times. This always makes the doctor look like a sell-out to big pharma and not as the compassionate doctor that he is. 4. If you must have a huge TV in the tiny waiting room, why not have it at a pleasant noise level and show positive messages to the patients who are already anxious about their treatment or about their progress? Loud, trashy TV shows or news broadcasts do NOT belong in a doctor's office. 5. A clean office is a good reflection of all the people who work there, and most importantly, of the doctor. A dirty, unkempt and disorganized office reflects just the opposite.***In the case of this office, where patients with compromised immune systems are quite common, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces should most definitely be a top priority for all!*** 6. Doctor, if your staff cannot keep up the good name you are working hard at building for yourself and your office, why not either train them well OR let them go? It's a shame that you end up coming across as not caring enough because of your staff. There's an endless stream of people seeking employment who could do a heck of a better job at caring for YOUR patients... if trained properly. Long post, probably full of typos, but also filled with good intentions for Dr. LeBerthon from this former patient, who is still grateful for his care, but who could no longer put up with some of his inept and under-trained staff. read more

Let me start off by saying the doctor is great and his main assistant who is on maternity leave are awesome. The nurse who gives the chemo is also great. But other than that the office is a joke! I bring my mom and we have to wait 2 hours if not more to first see a lady doctor who doesn't tell you much, then walks out and you still need to wait for the doctor. My time and my moms time is valuable and it seems like they don't care. For some reason they have new staff every time. You can't even have a relationship with them because they are gone the next month. They have this new girl Inelda who is rude and I mean rude!!! Needs to get fired!! She has no type of compassion for the people who are seating in the waiting room. She thinks just because you look like you don't understand Spanish she could talk bad about the patients. It's wrong! I've heard her couple of times talking about the patients. I've been there twice with my mom and she yells patient information. Shouldn't it be private??? This office really needs some management. It's out of control. You call to get refills and you are left on hold for 20min. It's crowded and dirty office. Definitely looking into taking my mom to city of hope or somewhere else. The new girls need some serious Training. Hopefully the doctors main assistant comes back to train these girls who don't know nothing about oncology and show them some type of compassion. read more
