If the cruise had some nice music on, provided a few blankets (that were clean unlike the one he handed me) and offered the option for snacks/beverages, it would have been much more enjoyable. But the price tag for a 90 minute informational cruise with consistent talking and other passengers' phone loudly playing the ymca... was less than worth it.

Another associate called us three days prior to our vacation to let us know our booking was not confirmed because 'unresponsive' and 'neglected to communicate our concerns around our ages.' Their associates were downright rude and condescending. I would be very WARY of working with them, especially through Airbnb, they are unprofessional and unorganized and will turn the blame on customers who have been nothing but honest.

I've always had a great experience camping here, and have gone each year for about 5 years. We don't care about the pool or wifi, don't care about what kinds of programming for families they may have, or any of the other things camp grounds are pushing these days. We want a somewhat private site, we want to be able to keep our fire going as late as we want (as long as it is under control), and we want to be able to keep our music playing at a reasonable level. We have never been told to put out our fire during quiet hours, or to turn off our music. We can stay up all night having a great time by the fire and playing cards without being broken up, but everyone plays by the same rules meaning it is not a wild place and we have never encountered other sites being too loud for our enjoyment. If you're looking for some old fashioned camping - even in an RV - where you can enjoy being outside with good company all night, this is a great spot. The staff has always been pleasant as well and the rates are comparable to nearby grounds.

Clearwater has a lake, but the lots are more jammed packed and not as spacious. Clearwater seems to be more family friendly with a playground, lake, etc. Meredith is more laid back and quiet. Meredith also has an indoor pool and hot tub which is nice. The staff at both places were very friendly and both have a nice store. We drove over to Clearwater to spend the day on the beach/lake. We rented kayaks which were very decently priced ($6 single, $12 double for 2 hrs.). The water was very clear and the beach was pretty large. The only downside to our camp site was a fence beside us. It made it feel a bit less woodsy. I also felt they could clean up around the store and grounds a bit. It looks a bit rundown. Same with the docks at Clearwater. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again!

A water-accessible wheelchair ramp looks useful and there are restrooms available but you'll have to find an employee to get the key. Look for the volleyball court as well. As a scuba diver, I dread having to go here. I've been diving for 15 years, having relocated to the…read moreNortheast from Florida with over 1,200 logged dives and interactions with dozens of dive shops. My main issue with Dive Winnipesaukee isn't selection or pricing--it's the staff. Diving Lake Winnipesaukee is cold, dark, has a short season, rough water, and not a lot to see. I spend my personal time on this, driving the boat of the car up to an hour just to get to this shop and another hour in four foot chop to reach a dive site on the opposite end of the lake. Between hauling heavy gear and long drives, the process is already a hassle. The staff could easily make the experience better and the day better, but instead, they make it worse. I've been here a few times. I walk in through the back door to the front counter and stand there while two teenagers focus on renting someone a canoe. Five minutes pass without a greeting, an acknowledgment, a basic "we'll be right with you " or even better a "you finish this while I help this person" (it doesn't take two people to rent a trampoline). Eventually I see someone in the back room, go to that employee, and politely ask to get a tank serviced and rent another one for the day. The transaction itself is purely clinical--exactly like walking into a doctor's office. I get handed a clipboard, fill it out, show my dive card, pay for the rental, get my receipt, and get sent on my way. When checking in my tank for a simple visual inspection, the staff member behind the counter asked for the date of manufacture on the tank. I mentioned I bought it brand new last year (meaning it's less than five years old), and she retorted, "Well, I need to check to make sure it doesn't need a hydrostatic inspection." Everyone in the dive community casually calls it a hydro. Using full the terminology just comes across as insecure (like you have to prove you know the full name) or it's pretentious. During a 15-minute rental process at any other dive shop I've ever been to, there's some basic small talk. Staff ask where you're diving today or talk about local sites, and you get to know the people. Here that isn't the case. The staff is generally unfriendly. I don't like going in there, I don't like interacting with them, and I'd rather avoid them entirely. My friend who knows them, said their problem is they're the only dive shop on the lake. He says competition demands exceptional service and customer loyalty where a monopoly does not. I agree. If another dive shop opened anywhere on Winnipesaukee, I would switch to them in a heartbeat, even if it were more expensive or further away.

Everyone loved the north wing! We rented this for our family for my wedding. It has three bedrooms…read moreand a loft. The first bedroom is the master and has a wonderful soft queen sized(I believe) bed with electric fire place. The second room also has a queen(I believe) sized bed with an electric fireplace. The third bedroom had two full(I believe) size beds with an electric fireplace(wasn't working when we arrived). The loft upstairs has a divider the side on the left has a day bed with trundle bed. The other side has two twin beds. Every room has a heater/ac unit. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots/pans and has a fridge, oven and stove. Trust me..Photos from their website does not do justice! We checked in and immediately fell in love with the place. The staff was always very friendly. Every night they came out and helped start the bon fire. The view from the North wing I personally feel is the best! If you are looking to get married if you can cut it the best would be the Main Lodge. Their common room has an amazing view and tons of space if you needed to do an indoor wedding. They have canoes, paddleboats, paddleboards, and I believe sailboats. Next time I'm in Meredith I will be sure to stay here again!
