We weren't even there for an hour. I know it's nature and in nature there are ticks, but just letting others know so you can be aware.

This is absolutely insane and heartbreaking. My grandmother was crying. I don't understand how they can treat people like this for no reason. Read the other reviews and see that this is clearly a pattern and not a good place to stay anymore. We are heartbroken and not to mention out of hundreds of dollars we will never get back.

There's a train that gives you an hour tour. I believe it cost $15-20 bucks. Toddlers are free I believe. The beach wasn't too rocky. Had little waves from all the boats passing by. The nearest docks are fishable for those seeking to fish. I heard that when the Washington boat leaves, that's the spot you want to cast from cause it stirs up the bottom and that's when this fish comes out from the docks. They have bathrooms on the beach. I didn't go inside to see how they were but my sister in-law did with my son so it must of been manageable. They had some large trees by the entrance which could be used as shade if you didn't bring an umbrella. Would I return: Yes. IF the lake vibes is what we are looking for. I got on that boat, (no life jacket either!!), and then jumped into the water in the middle of the lake after being egged on by friends and lo and behold... I REALLY COULD STAND IN THE WATER!! Are you kidding me? I am in the middle of the lake and the water is only up to my chest, this is AMAZING, can I stay in here all day? I love water but am afraid of getting on boats, and much less JUMPING in the water...but this lake was amazing! Did I also mention that another it met my other large body of water criteria?? You could actually see down to the bottom of the lake where we were standing...um hmm...that's right...so clear, but of course it is! It's one of the 10 cleanest natural lakes in the WHOLE world! Hate to harp on about how shallow some parts of the lake were, but I will because it was pretty amazing to see people standing in the water and playing catch in the middle of the lake, or a man pulling a nice sized boat with his fam on it with the water only up to his waist...it was practically like seeing Jesus walking on water or something!! Then about (5) sets of stairs to the top. Yes, a damn shame there is so much graffiti on the tower. However, it's not in your face w/ bright colors. Ignore it and take in the immense view. This is a better vantage point of both lakes Winnipesauke and Wentworth. Higher up too. I came on a cloudy day and it was still breathtaking. Pair this with the Wright WW2 museum and you have a solid day.

This thoughtful combination of learning and fun gives families & kids a nice time. I appreciated the information on how the animals ended up at science center. The animals are clearly well cared for and the habitats were clean. Also, the staff listed what was the enrichment of the day was for the animals. This added touch was informative and shows care for their animals. I highly recommend this science center for all ages. It was a delightful time well spent.

We saw a bobcat, mountain lion, otters, black bear, and eagles. If the weather is nice I would recommend. The trail is almost 2 miles.
