I went here on off season so there was plenty of parking but not much open on the pier. Not much of beach but a long boardwalk. The views are great though! There is lots of restaurants and bars during peak season. We took a boat ride off the pier and it was super fun! read more

We visited this past week and really enjoyed our stay there. Although we did not necessarily go swimming at the beach because it was a bit too cold for it. We did enjoy walking on the beach and enjoying the sites. Because the day was a bit overcast it was not too packed but it still was a nice area to spend some time in. read more

The Weirs needs an overhaul. It's stuck in the past. It truly needs a developer to come in. Smash it all down to nothing and rebuild it. Weirs Beach has been a staple in my life for 33 years. Coming here as a little kid brought me so much happiness. Swimming at the beach with my cousins. Hitting up the arcade. Getting an ice cream. It was magic. What you get now is a run down tourist trap with putrid public bathrooms. 1500 signs telling you what you can and cannot do every step. And a T-shirt store almost entirely stocked with MAGA/ trump crap. Weirs Beach is gone. What's left of it is clearly being run by a bunch of boomers who care little To nothing about the area, lake, history, or travelers. It is a loss. A true loss. read more

It's was a nice little spot with good parking near by. We paid $15 for parking right by the beach. Not sure how much it cost to pay at the meter. The boardwalk is there as well. There's a train that gives you an hour tour. I believe it cost $15-20 bucks. Toddlers are free I believe. The beach wasn't too rocky. Had little waves from all the boats passing by. The nearest docks are fishable for those seeking to fish. I heard that when the Washington boat leaves, that's the spot you want to cast from cause it stirs up the bottom and that's when this fish comes out from the docks. They have bathrooms on the beach. I didn't go inside to see how they were but my sister in-law did with my son so it must of been manageable. They had some large trees by the entrance which could be used as shade if you didn't bring an umbrella. Would I return: Yes. IF the lake vibes is what we are looking for. We personally like rivers and waterfalls better. read more

good morning! This review is not specifically for weirs Beach in general it is for weirs Beach village. Whether you are attempting to purchase there or rent short term for a vacation be extremely cautious! I first want to start off with I absolutely love New Hampshire I grew up here. I am retired army I have had a real tough time over the past few years health-wise but things are getting better. I specifically traveled to Laconia staying in a cabin rental in weird speech to look for a new home for myself and my family. I love the tranquil setting of weirs Beach village I thought it would be a definite great fit for myself and my family. yesterday I decided to take a small stroll through the village just to see how everybody kept their yard, the way their dogs acted and how friendly the community was. as I was walking in yesterday I met a very nice lady (so I thought) she greeted my dog asked if she could give her a treat we had a rather good meeting I told her I was not from here but we were looking for a place to call home so I thought I'd take a nice stroll through the community and I would pick up after my dog if the need came about. I really enjoyed the first stroll we had that day had a few nice waves from other people. we encountered a very nice golden retriever in his front yard he did not bark everything is great I even spoke to my wife about seeing if we could see if there was any homes for sale or at lease whatever they do we haven't really looked into it yet. this morning I decided to take another stroll just to see if I can see the other half when the maintenance crews were not there. definite different experience today! same lady pulled up next to us with her husband as I was on the phone with my mom letting her know about how nice the area was. this gentleman did not even say hi started very confrontational about why I'm here and if you do not live here you need to get out. that's understandable I understand it's a private community but I thought since I met with the lady yesterday that apparently has something to do with the community I assumed she was the community director or something like that. I didn't realize it was her in the passenger seat at first because she would not look my way like she was embarrassed. I saw the gentleman's hat as retired army so I attempted to and let him know what I was there for he changed his tune a little bit but it was kind of past that point. long story short I will not be looking in this area ever again and every person I meet regardless will here about this bad experience and short of holding a sign out in front of this community about how they treat veterans and outsiders especially because I'm sure everybody here is an outsider and there's probably a lot of veterans that pay a lot of money to live here. I am thoroughly disgusted. now I remember why I left New Hampshire 25 years ago. good place to visit but don't bring your family here especially to this community. we're going to check out other communities hopefully somebody else changes my mind about the area. whoever reads this take care be wary of where you're looking to live. read more

We came off season, so not sure how it would be normally. The water did not look good and the beach sand was ok. It seems more like a picnic area. There were some restaurants on the strip, but we did not try them. There was some construction going on. There is a boat ride and a train ride available as well. It is a $1 an hour to park. read more

2 stars, i guess i am going to cover the beach (good) and the local boardwalk (not so good) so, the beach is free, but very restrictive. why wouldnt you let my toddler wear floaties? she is ok as a swimmer, but saftey is safe? right? the water was nice and the sand was relatively clean, they have those things going for them. the boardwalk itself is typical, some fried crap joints, some really bad arcades (real bad!) and a candy store or two. I will say, the pavilion did have a better arcade that wasnt poo, but i only found it later in my trip, but look there if you like to drop some pocket change. overall, this is not a private beach in rhode island (few are!) but if this is your thing, well, more power to you. dont yelp on me read more

We went on a weekday afternoon during covid times, and the beach was not too crowded. We got a spot in the parking lot and paid via the kiosk. There were picnic tables in the shade and plenty of space to spread out on the sand. We opted for sand but quickly saw that avoiding goose poop would be harder than avoiding people. The city should drag the beach to clean it, as other beaches do. Bathrooms seemed clean and had soap. The water was nice, not too cold, seemed clean, and there was an enclosed area for safety but no lifeguard. Perhaps because of that, people were using floats and noodles with no issues. We stayed for a couple hours, which seemed plenty. Cleaner sand and bringing our pool noodles may have extended our visit. Then again, there aren't many other public beaches in the area. We had fun on the boardwalk arcades (plenty of sanitizer and masks worn) and had lunch at a nearby restaurant. Driving by on Saturday the parking lot was packed and a remote parking area up the hill was filling up. read more

This is my favorite place to relax every summer I really like this place and I always go maybe up to 4 to 5 times every year I also like this place because it's just very clean very beautiful and maybe it might be the spot you guys pick to be in the resort you might want. I hope that my review will help you guys want to go here and have a lot of fun. It's a very good spot for children but still be very mindful about them not going to deep because I can get really deep but it's very fun for the children to swim and dig up the warm sand and the small waves hit your feet and feel relaxed. :)) read more

Great lake for swimming! The waters stay calm and clear (especially in the morning) and you can get a few nice laps in by the buoys. Plus the ducks come visit! Great for kids too because it doesn't get deep quickly. It does get pretty crowded, so coming in the morning is great. There are often large parties grilling right by the beach, so the place gets busy. The crowds start around 9am on a weekend and around 10-11 on a weekday. But we always found a place to sit, just less space to swim in. read more

We were exploring places around Lake Winnipesaukee and our friends took us to Weirs Beach. They told us that this is the most popular and well known beach on Lake Winnipesaukee. We could see why - it is the hub for all types of activities. You name it; it is here - something for everyone. The boardwalk was rebuilt in 2010 and is over 1300 feet long and offers spectacular views of the lake and the Ossipee Mountains. There is actually a public beach here for everyone to enjoy. Cool, clear, fresh water. Soft sand on the beach and once you get out into the water. A bit rocky where the water meets the shore. Ducks and gulls add some excitement for the kids. Several lifeguards. $10 to park, which seems to help keep it from getting too crowded. That pays for a ticket that can be used for re-entry later in the day. Beautiful lake and mountain views. Weirs beach is a cool spot. There's an interesting mix of old and new around here. The scenery is pretty nice, and there are some shops and restaurants that look cool. I didn't get to poke around too much because we went on the dinner cruise. I hope to return and take in more of the local flavor. The only negative I can think of is I noticed a lot of creepy old men staring at young girls walking around in swimsuits and stuff. I mean, I get it, but it's kind of gross when it's made super obvious and the girls are young enough to be their grandkids. read more

I LOVE weirs beach!! The water is nice and clear and the sands are soft! I live in Mass and it is totally worth the drive up to Laconia.

We visited last weekend in hopes of seeing some foliage along with the water. It's a cute place with a train station and a dock. The train takes you around the lake and up to Mount Washington while the ship travels around the lake itself. The restrooms were clean and across the street is a block of touristy shops/arcade. While parking was easy this past cold weekend, I could easily see this place getting crowded during the summer. read more

Nice beach but the rules prohibiting floats, arm floaties, or noodles is a little ridiculous. Especially when the gift shops sold it all to me only to walk down to the beach and be told I can't use any of it. So my kids really didn't enjoy swimming. Definitely a disappointment. read more
