The choice of frames felt current and modern but limited in options. The frame prices were reasonable but the lenses were quite pricey. Two glasses, regular and sun glasses were over $1K with insurance! They may have less expensive options available. When I stepped into the office the receptionist was happy and cheerful. I arrived 15 minutes early and didn't wait long, which is a plus. The assistant who was helping me didn't introduce herself and walked really fast down the corridor. While I was trying to get my bearing and my items. She was pretty rude and didn't seem genuine at all. She didn't ask me about the weather or nothing. She didn't seem interested in me. The doctor (Dr. Watson) introduced himself and shook my hand, better, but he didn't spend much time with me and I had to tell him things. He didn't ask me questions directly. I would also add that my eyes were dilated and I was never told how long they would dilated for. I was then passed onto another associate, I told her I wanted to look at frames but she followed me around. And was a very pushy sales person. My husband showed up and even got annoyed with her when she tried to sell me Crizal coating that I didn't want. Her professionalism wasn't there at all. I did buy a pair of glasses partly because I loved the style and I can't find Kate Spade glasses anywhere. I would have not given them any business had I been able to find this glasses elsewhere with my insurance. I'm writing this review while my eyes are still dilated. Because they were rude and borderline nasty, I switched to Valley Vision. Now I have a serious eye problem and the records from Boys Smith could aid the Valley Vision doctor, but there seems to be problems forwarding the records. When I asked her to coordinate with Valley Vision she refused. When I attempted to rehash my past troubles with Boys Smith, she hung up. If this nonsense continues I will hire an attorney.

The prescription was ground 1/4 inch too low in my lenses. This made the reading area about 1/8 inch up from the bottom of the lenses. Having to tilt my head back like that caused neck pain. Took the glasses back and told them the problem. Explaining the 1/4 inch difference. I asked that they redo the lenses. All they would do is bend on the frame. There was no offer to replace the lenses. I was told to try the glasses for a few days and come back if needed. For me it is an 80 mile one way trip to Wenatchee. I am not going to spend $20 in fuel for sub-par service.

Today I read another review that was posted about a year ago. I had not planned on leaving a review…read moreout of respect for the optometrist who is a really nice lady. But after seeing the review and knowing how I was treated at the hands of Jan, I felt I needed to post this review. I too will never go back to this business because of how horrible she treated me. I drove over an hour away to get glasses made. The entire process I was snapped at, told the glasses didn't fit right because I had an odd shaped head, and blamed because I didn't wear them enough. When I left with my new glasses the first time, they were crooked and not even adjusted properly. On top of insurance, I had paid over $400. I wear my glasses 100% of my waking hours. I finally let her know in a very frank conversation of how horrible I was treated. I was kind but laid it all out. I was traumatized every time I had to go back to get the problems taken care of. Finally the owner stepped in and helped me. I even overhead employees talking to each other about what a nice person I was like they were expecting me to be a real "B"! I would rather drive 8 hours away to my old optometrist than deal with Jan again.
