This made the reading area about 1/8 inch up from the bottom of the lenses. Having to tilt my head back like that caused neck pain. Took the glasses back and told them the problem. Explaining the 1/4 inch difference. I asked that they redo the lenses. All they would do is bend on the frame. There was no offer to replace the lenses. I was told to try the glasses for a few days and come back if needed. For me it is an 80 mile one way trip to Wenatchee. I am not going to spend $20 in fuel for sub-par service.

But after seeing the review and knowing how I was treated at the hands of Jan, I felt I needed to post this review. I too will never go back to this business because of how horrible she treated me. I drove over an hour away to get glasses made. The entire process I was snapped at, told the glasses didn't fit right because I had an odd shaped head, and blamed because I didn't wear them enough. When I left with my new glasses the first time, they were crooked and not even adjusted properly. On top of insurance, I had paid over $400. I wear my glasses 100% of my waking hours. I finally let her know in a very frank conversation of how horrible I was treated. I was kind but laid it all out. I was traumatized every time I had to go back to get the problems taken care of. Finally the owner stepped in and helped me. I even overhead employees talking to each other about what a nice person I was like they were expecting me to be a real "B"! I would rather drive 8 hours away to my old optometrist than deal with Jan again.

Basically I have been used to paying for my vision appointments and then submitting them for reimbursement. The folks at Wink have been outstanding in my years of going and getting my eyes checked. I have looked at other places that bill VSP; but the cost difference was huge, wink was much less for a quality service; worth my time to get reimbursed... Costco optical billed VSP for the eyeglasses if I remember a few years ago.

Today, I made appointments for my wife and me, and received an email informing us they have chosen to discontinue accepting that insurance. We were offered the opportunity to pay out of pocket, approximately the cost of the vision insurance we have been paying for. The service is fine. But, in my opinion, trust is based in predictability. I now predict that anything I am told by Wink Optometry, that is not related to that instant in time, cannot be trusted. Make your own choice. We HAVE to look elsewhere now.
