This review is for the Optometrist Jan at Cashmere Vision Center, not for Dr. Karen Wasylyshyn.
I recently had one of the worst customer service incidents I've ever had.
I went to get new lenses in frames I had. The receptionist was unsmiling and unfriendly. Then I sat down with Jan.
She had a palpable "You're wasting my time" attitude from the start. I told here what I was there for, and instead of a polite "excuse me?", she said "WHAT?!" Then she said the frames I have don't fit, even though they are the same as the ones I had before. The issue was the interference with my face mask straps, but she acted like it was somehow my fault.
To measure the distance for my progressive lenses, she told me to scoot forward and lean all the way in. Her manner couldn't have been more spiteful, and condescending. It felt like she was treating me like an idiot.
With my previous glasses, I had changed the bifocals to single vision lenses. She said they were re-coated for anti-reflection and scratch resistance. They had not re-coated them. I had never had more lens reflection or more scratches on any glasses in 35 years, and these were only one year old. When I pointed this out, she said I used too rough a wiping cloth. Not true. She said the reflection was because of the fit, but this was the same pair of glasses I've worn for years, and I'd never had that problem before. She acted like it was my fault, and not the lenses.
I can't say anything nice about Jan.
I will not be going back to Cashmere Vision Center, even though I like Dr. Wasylyshyn. read more
