My wife and I were attending a Sunday afternoon Cleveland Cavs game and stopped here for a quick pint before the game. We arrived shortly after opening and were able to get a seat at the bar. Bartender quickly greeted us and was friendly. They have a fair amount of draft options. I had the Great Lakes Midwest IPA, and my wife had a Great Lakes Conway Irish Red. Bar got fairly busy before we left. A woman next to us ordered a burger which looked fantastic (no frozen premade patty), so I might have to get food during my next visit. This is a great pregame spot before a Cavs or Guardians game, or even if you are in the general vicinity.

We sat at the bar and were greeted quickly. Took are drink order and brought menus. I had a beer on tap & my wife had a peach cider. She really liked it. We ordered food easily. She had boneless chicken wings, honey bourbon. Nice taste and a fairly big order. I got the Cleveland burger. It was cooked just right and packed flavor. I first visited in October 2023 with some friends after leaving the MIX event at the CMA (museum). Twist had a 2000's music theme that night. My friends and I had a fantastic time dancing the night away. Fast forward to a year later to Saturday, 31 August 2024 and I'm back at Twist again for their white party for the labour day holiday. The 2024 labour day holiday white party was fun. I arrived at 10pm with a friend and we met 3 other friends there. We danced to a live DJ who spun tunes all night; however, I will say that some of the music choices were not the best because they were not ideal for dancing. At around 11:30pm is when the dance floor begun to be crowded. So as midnight approached, it became a bit uncomfortable to remain on the small(ish) dance floor so I moved towards the back by the bar. Although I don't drink alcohol, moving away from the dance floor towards the front door entrance by the bar was a good choice for me because I didn't feel as claustrophobic as I did when I was on the cramped dance floor. The space itself is a nice throwback to long-gone neighborhood venues, even considering the hazardously wobbly stool at the table I sat at. Even though I arrived shortly after opening, the owner remained seated at the end of the unoccupied bar and offered no greeting to a new face and potential return customer, nor did he offer any apologies for the bar's understocked inventory. I had to Google a recipe for the cocktail I tried to order, only to have the bartender give me a rundown of ingredients the bar lacked. After placing three different orders until I hit on something the bartender could manage and leaving a generous tip, I had to make a second request for iced water to go with my almost non-existent cocktail. Even at that, I had to get water from the tap because the previous night's crowd allegedly cleaned the bar out of bottled water and no one could be bothered to restock. I won't return and I won't recommend. UPDATE: Since I posted this review, the bar's social-media manager has engaged in a pattern of harassment, a threat and a libelous statement on Facebook. BEST DIVE EVER…read more excellent fresh food here, everything I've had is fantastic. This is the Cleveland state college bar but really I've basically seen the working man lunch crowd. It's great. Today I had wings. Prior the chicken salad sandwich, the little Becky burger the big Becky burger I've had the tacos. I had a salad with the chicken salad on it. Everything is so fresh. They have a kitchen that is proud of their work. It's a big place with a storied history, back in the 80s this was the old exedra bar you can look it up. There is a reason that dance floor and the bar is shaped the way it is it's hilarious. I looked it up because I thought this was an old concert club and the bartender told me oh you looked it up and we were dying laughing. They have a free parking lot. It really helps a lot to drive business five stars for dive bars. This place is awesome.
